Horrible job just laying cable

They haven’t even opened service up and already Ziply is a disaster. Laying cable and did a horrible job. Tore up my yard, killing a bunch of grass. Had they done it properly, it wouldn’t have happened. Tore up my driveway, did a more horrible job patching it with asphalt, not concrete. At least $1,000 in damages. If this is how they operate getting set up, I would hate to have my internet with them.
Grass is ruined for the season.

Can't get service canceled, price jumps aggressively

I used Ziply Fiber for 3 years, and first, I agree with other reviews I've seen that the price jumps aggressively with no warning. But almost more importantly, they seem to just refuse to disconnect your service! I called to cancel my account on May 23 and was assured that it was canceled. Then on June 9 I got billed another $95! When I called, they told me my account disconnect was still "pending," like it's 1995 instead of 2026, and told me to call back when my account has fully disconnected and then they can "see about a refund." I never thought an internet service provider could be so bad that it would make me want to use Xfinity!

TERRIBLE online plan management.

Ziply raised my elderly mother's DSL/phone rates to $173/month (20% increase) with zero notice. The only way to modify plan options is to figure out how to talk to a human. Pretty slimy, in my opinion.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! Or at least check the multitude of negative reviews FIRST!!

First off they screwed the whole thing up when I moved in then had to cancel and then reinstate service.. I recieved online paperless bills for 3 months than surprise surprise no bill this month .. it's a newer service so unless I get a bill I tend to forget something needs to be paid .. but then around the due date I remembered this bill was due around this time. So I go on their site to pay and my bill went from 45.00 to almost 70.00 ??!! I looked into this and my past 3 other bills.. they 1 kicked me out of paperless billing while not sending me a bill by mail either which added 11.00 then 2 they are charging me 11.00 a month for "payment" processing WTF?? They refunded the paperless billing fee they charged for the past 2 months which lowered it to 50.00 but when I asked WTF I was paying 11.00 payment processing fee for, they said it's cuz I refused auto debit when I signed up .. damn straight I did cuz I control when I pay not some company and most past auto debit experiences have been negative cuz they either debit your account days before or days late causing issues with bank or late fees so I'll pay online with my payment card on my pay date.. oh and it's funny how their payment processing fee just randomly increased From 5.00 to 11.00 the same month they 1, didn't send a bill online. 2, somehow magically removed me from paperless billing ( another 11.00) , and 3 didn't send me a bill via mail either AND didn't send reminders like they did the past 3 months.. it's all very sketch and scammy to me.. yes xfinity had its issues but billing was never one of them .. it was quite cut and dry with xfinity

UPDATE: I only got Ziply in the first place because it was prewired in our new build apartments.. wish I’d checked the reviews though, before signing up.. it appears they gave a long history of sketchy practices looking at other options over the weekend cuz wow

UPDATE 2… So over on yelp their responder person responded ( YELP GAS OVER 500 negative reviews about this company in the past 1 or 2 years😳😳) and they gave generic bs excuse if a ( new billing system) that supposidly “ caused issues” same bs spiel most companies used when getting caught doing shady business. They made sure to reiterate that they would continue to charge me a 10.00 fee for refusing to allow them free access to my banking account via auto pay .. and apparently they can raise that fee at will cuz when I called today the associate said it went from 5.00 to 10.00 overnight and with no explination.. so I’ll be continuing to check my other options over the weekend and will be reporting them to SEVERAL agencies over the weekend cuz one thing I will not tolerate us deceptive business practices .. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
