⭐️ Warning to parents
⭐️ Warning to parents – Zwemclub ABC
We strongly advise parents to be cautious before enrolling their children at Zwemclub ABC. Our experience highlighted several issues that may negatively affect families.
Some changes during the contract period negatively affected us as parents. For example, while we were still at the Amsterdam location (Mirandabad), the cancellation policy was changed: cancelling a 1-hour lesson now gives only a 0.5-hour credit, while lessons must be booked in full hours. After transferring to the Amstelveen location (Meerkamp), we also discovered that lessons missed due to school holidays (which are many) were no longer reimbursed. The same condition applies to illness. These important changes were not communicated before registration.
There is no waiting list, but parents are immediately tied to a one-year contract with financial penalties for early termination, even if conditions change. Despite this commitment, service is limited: parents do not receive structured feedback on their child’s progress, and observing lessons is not allowed (only brief drop-off/pick-up). Communication is unclear with limited transparency and no direct answers to questions.
Conclusion / Warning: If transparency, clear communication, and fair contract terms are important to you, we recommend carefully considering other options before enrolling. Our experience shows that parents can face unexpected contract changes, limited service, and poor communication.
