Not worth the headache

I was an early backer on their Kickstarter and was excited for their product. More than three years since their campaign ended and I still haven't received their product and they have not updated their backers since January of 2025 and have stopped responding to email, facebook, and website attempts to contact them. They promised extras to compensate for delays and refunds to compensate for size issues and none of those promises have come through.
I cannot speak to the quality of their product, but their business practices and customer service is worthless!

Do NOT deal with this company at all!

So my experience is a combination of the all the other 1-star reviews.

2- year delay with lots of false promises.
Shipping costs revealed; nearly DOUBLE the cost of the cup! Absolutely extortionate!

3. So I contacted Zylch and asked for a refund. One was promised, never received.

4. INCESSANT emails from "Easyship", their shipping company, telling me to finalise my shipping details, despite me telling them I want a refund.

5. In the end I gave up and paid the inflated shipping costs.

6. Only to now, TEN WEEKS LATER! I get yet ANOTHER email telling me to confirm my shipping details, which I have already done, and already paid for.

This company is absolutely crap, and the reason I will NEVER use Kickstarter or a similar backer platform again.

Terrible, terrible, terrible! And I haven't even received the damn thing yet, which going by the other reviews seems to be a dodgy product that I get to look forward to, if it ever arrives. Yay me.

Do not deal with this company. Unprofessional on all levels.

I've ticked the box to notify Zylch of this review. Maybe they'll FINALLY get the message and do something about it.

To Zylch directly:

Either give me a FULL refund - INCLUDING shipping (which is now definitely preferred given the other reviews), or at the very least send the goddamn thing!!! I'm paid up, and my shipping details are correct.

I was one of the early Kickstarter…

I was one of the early Kickstarter backers. The cups were delayed quite a bit, that didn’t phase me much. I was only in for about $20 however, when my cup finally arrived, it had numerous design flaws. A short list: You have to put your dirty fingers inside it to expand it, poor insulation, top heavy, the gaskets squeak when you loosen or tighten the segments or lid, the lid dribbles hot liquid unless you tighten it down very tight. The actual user experience of this cup is terrible. But what really got me was how they treated backers who criticized the final product instead of engaging with them, Zylch canceled our pledges retroactively. So yes, I got a “free “cup except for shipping, but I was effectively canceled from the Kickstarter page. In my view, this is shady.

I had very high hopes for this…

I had very high hopes for this…
I had very high hopes for this kickstarter and then the cups arrived. I was missing the add on sleeves and the ones included were mismatched in make. I tried the chat, but that just lingered and lingered, like they were working on multiple issues at one time (who has an hour to sit and stare waiting for a single response?). So, I contacted Backerkit, and heard nothing back. I contacted the support email from Zylch multiple times, and nothing back. At this point, I can only assume that it's a bogus startup and they're not going to fulfil too many orders, or send out what's around in the warehouse. I don't know, honestly, but at this point, I'd rather have my money back. They haven't been reliable and I trusted the business and updates, and that was my mistake. They're quite good at making it sound legitimate.

Questionable business model

Questionable business model. They started with a great product idea on kickstarter and then everything went wrong. More than 2 years delay, very poor execution compared to the original idea. They couldn't stop over promising and even criticized their backers when they questioned their intentions with all the false due dates. I actually get refunded after 2 years just to make me silent as I couldn't add comments anymore. At the end of the day I still payed more on delivery and taxes due to their poor choices anyway. At least I got the products - which are heavier, bulkier and way less practical than the original design and not the sizes I originally went for. The cases are barely usable, look very cheap and fragile. Many of their backers are still waiting for their products and based on kickstarter comments they are just being ignored. Meanwhile the company heavily advertising on social media - without comment or review options enabled.
Not recommended to support their business.
