Personal Loan experience

Very easy process and fast drawdown. The only thing that made me uncomfortable is providing my bank login details to access statements. I did research to ensure cyber safety however change all your passwords after you do this for peace of mind. If a cyber attack happened, this is where it would hit. The Alex staff didn’t really care about my concern when i emailed, simply saying ‘refer to the information we sent you’. Aside from that, everything else was easy.

With regards to the bank statements, we work with a partner, bankstatements.com.au which is owned by Illion. They provide a read only service to Alex Bank for the retrieving of data and do not make any transactions. Accessing your online banking statements is a common way for finance organisations to assess loan applications these days, with over 200 financial services providers in Australia and New Zealand making use of this secure service.
