Non-Recyclable Packaging
My dog, Freddie, really enjoys the recipes. I do feed him 50/50 with a dry food, which he seems to prefer. I would love it if Butternut Box could address the issue of non-recyclable packaging. I can buy pate with recyclable packaging, so why not this? In response, Butternut Box have told me that they are looking into more sustainable solutions.

We also acknowledge your gripe around the amount of plastic we use.
We've put a lot of care into designing our packaging and making sure that it's convenient, locks in quality and over time is as sustainable as possible. As a B-Corp this is extremely important to us at Butternut Box.
Currently, our pouches aren't recyclable due to the need to withstand extreme temperature changes during cooking and freezing. We need to ensure that any plastic material used in our process is capable of withstanding temperature changes during cooking and freezing. However, the team are looking into a more sustainable solutions. We have an article on our Help Centre on Sustainability at Butternut Box that you might find interesting.
