Lee arrived on time, he was very friendly and professional, found the source of the leak, fixed it, cleared up after himself, explained everything very clearly, was very good with my young son and dog. I couldn’t ask any more. The admin team behind the scenes were really good as well. Very impressed.

Homefix were easy to use. They booked my appointment promptly. Darren the Gas Engineer arrived a few hours later. Diagnosed the issue and gave me all the information I needed to decide on next steps. Darren arrived the next day to complete the job. He was prompt and installed the new carbon monoxide detergent really quickly. Really great service from Homefix and Darren. I would definitely use Homefix and Darren again.

Excellent experience of having gas outlet capped off and running diagnostics on drainage by Darren and sons

We had another plumber 777Plumber who looked into changing our tap but the space under the sink was a small challenge but they just gave up without even trying. Called 0800HomeFix and booked same day appointment. James and his apprentice Danny arrived. They accepted the same was limited but not a challenge and they got to it straight away and changed the 4 way tap in less than an hour. The space was limited but they worked around it and did the job in record time. Really appreciate them taking extra effort and not charging me more. 777 wanted 4 times what they quoted to change the tap and asked £350+VAT and Homefix got it done in £120+VAT.
Really happy and recommend James to those around Reading area.

Great service, from the moment my call was picked up. Luke arrived on time, diagnosed the problem with our blocked toilet quickly and stayed to fix it, everything was done within 2 hours. Very good communication of extra costs, friendly and efficient service. Highly recommended.

We had a new boiler installed in an emergency just before Christmas by James and Oly. They fit me in very quickly, which was appreciated due to the cold weather at the time. It is now 3 months later and the boiler is still holding strong! They did a great job, excellent service, and were very friendly. They kept me up to date with the work throughout the day and left the house tidy (mats used to protect the floor etc).

I highly recommend the company, especially if James or Oly turn up, you will be in great hands!

Managed to replace an old gas hob with one of a similar, but slightly smaller size and make good the difference in sizes. Great job.

Quick and responsive

A plumber from 0800 Homefix Ltd was called out by the resident below my 89-year-old mother's flat to fix a leak. My mother was confronted by him on her doorstep, telling her that the leak came from her flat, that it needed to be repaired urgently and that it would cost her £1,400 plus VAT.
She felt she had no option but to accept. He said he would return to carry out the work the next day at 10:00, but did not appear until after 14:30. My mother was advised not to use any water until the work was complete, so the wait was extremely stressful.
Coincidentally, another plumbing firm visited her a few days later about a maintenance contract. They advised her that the work carried out by Homefix was not fit for purpose and posed a significant risk of further flooding. They also told her that she should not have been charged more that £400 for the initial work .
I have been in touch with Homefix since then, who have informed us that the original plumber is no longer working for them, and sent a senior engineer to correct the work. This has now been completed satisfactorily. Homefix have also offered a refund of £1,000 plus VAT, but despite several attempts to chase them, no refund has been forthcoming.
UPDATE: although Homefix has not replied to my email or returned my phonecalls, my mother has now received a full refund, so we consider the matter closed.

Dean and Luke did an amazing job on fitting our new drain system. Clean, professional, and polite. Really happy with the work. Highly recommended!
