I ordered two gorgeous pillows from their home decor selection. I received two that were not what I ordered. One email was all it took. The new ones arrived quickly, and a prepaid shipping label was used to send the other two back.
Things go wrong with every merchant. The difference is how they handle it. 5 Stars for Capital Lighting.

My chandelier was damaged by a third party who contracts for 1-800 Lighting to deliver their product. While this was an unforeseen issue, the representative for 1-800 Lighting, Ted Mattos, was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to resolve my issue quickly. While 1-800 Lighting did nothing wrong, I was really impressed with their customer service. Ted was very patient with me. He sensed my frustration and listened attentively to my concerns. He included his supervisor, Neavan Mekawi, on the email communications. Neavan was excellent! I really appreciated their collective efforts toward a successful resolution. There is no doubt in my mind that Ted and Neavan are truly about customer satisfaction. They were there for me before, during and after the sale by showing great communication, patience, and willingness to resolve the issue. Thank you both for showing how it’s done - true customer service.

Received a defective lighting product From capital lighting. We responded to the email with pictures of the defect. They promptly responded and sent a replacement item. Very happy with their customer service as well as their product.

I have been looking for 3 sconces from House of Savoy. They were unavailable, but according to Capitol Lighting they would be available mid Jan. On a Sunday I emailed customer service to get an affirmation that it would be available as it was needed for bathroom remodel. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a response from Wendy P that same day, assuring me
she would contact company and let me know Monday. She followed through and gave me an excellent quote. I immediately purchased. Wendy helped place the order. It was an absolute pleasure to work with Wendy. She is friendly, professional and competent. She goes above and beyond.

Called the Palm Beach Gardens location to order a replacement capacitor for my Minka ceiling fan, since Capital Lighting is an authorized dealer and I have a great experience working with Chris Surrena from that store purchasing over $7000 of lighting. I was told Chris no longer works there and they won't order Minka parts unless I had purchased that fan from them. I questioned their policy since Minka had told me to contact any authorized dealer. I was then transferred, disconnected twice, and on my third attempt sent to voicemail. This was handled so poorly. Maybe after getting the price for the replacement part, I could have decided to buy a new fan and two others so all my fans would match. Needless to say they won't get another dollar from me or any more referrals. I called Minka back who couldn't understand how I was treated and for customer service sent me the part for free. I will certainly buy Minka again, but not from this store.

Wendy was wonderful to work with. One of my two items came in damaged from the factory. Called Wendy and she immediately took control of the issue. We received immediate satisfaction and now are waiting for the replacement. Wendy was great to work with in all aspects of our purchase right through delivery. Thanks very much!!!

And I got a quote that was substantially better priced than all the other online retailers for the unique cool Inca Round Pendant. Wendy is a 25 yr veteran in the lighting industry and even owns an Inca Round Pendant in Chrome finish, and thinks it looks fab in her place. I have not received my orders yet but have had a lot of problems with another online retailer with them blatantly being guilty of FALSE ADVERTISING on the Inca Round Pendant, but was very happy w the cust svc from Wendy AND ABSOLUTELY ESCTATIC w the pricing.

What more can you ask for?
(at least in the world of lighting, lol)
