Love working with 1800/Capital lighting. Great customer service for ordering as well as when I get a defective product. Would certainly recommend as an excellent online lighting vendor.

Capitol Lighting has such beautiful lights but their customer service is even more amazing. I worked with Wendy who went above and beyond to help me. I needed to find a kitchen table light that coordinated with my kitchen pendant lights. She sent me so many options with images of my pendants with other lights which helped me make my decision. She also helped me choose the correct size pendant medallion for the ceiling and did a special order for rods for another chandelier that was a bit too short.

I highly recommend Capitol Lighting and Wendy! I will be using her again for more lights soon.

My wife and I had the pleasure of working with Nahren Isteifo twice. She is a dedicated and patient professional which I, as an architect, deeply appreciate.

We recently moved from a single family home in Fair Lawn to an apartment in Fort Lee and needed to replace many fixtures.

Between what we were able to see in the Paramus store and on line we were able to make all the purchases with both confidence and delight.

She is a joy to work with and I cannot recommend her more other than to say, if and when we need to continue to purchase lighting, Nahren is the salesperson we will seek out again (and again).

We ordered a ton of lighting for our new house. $20,000 order. It was delivered over the period of a few weeks. Installation has gone on as the house is being finished which took a couple of months. We realize we have 4 extra fixtures (unopened boxes) that we don't need (ordered 20 but needed 16). This is an item that is common and one they still sell (at a higher price than i paid!) I contacted them about a return and was told it was outside the return window. I asked to reconsider and they said it was just the policy. I asked a third time and was told again it was policy. For a company that sells other companies' products available via many other channels, customer experience is the differentiator. And it made the difference for me - I will never do business with them again. Cold. Transactional. No empathy. And my many friends who will be purchasing lighting in the near future? They will also not be using this company.

Our light was missing a part, they contacted the manufacturer and the part was sent right out to us.

Our fault we ordered later than we should have and our contractor needed the lights faster than it looked like they might come. I sent a note and they acted on it and had it shipped out faster than the message online said it would get here. I was very happy with their service. Also, Capitol Lighting had a sale a day or so after we ordered and they went back and gave us credit.

I've made my order and paid money for the lamp on May month. Now we have end of September. This business absolutely doesn't care about consumer- no e-mails about delay, anything about status of my 4 months delayed order....
Customer service is so low quality that one option they can suggest- is to cancel your order. Greetings to Tiffany S.

I made a large purchase to outfit a new build. I had a couple issues
Bent long down rod from shipping. Fan receiver defective and a fan out of balance because of the shroud being out of round. All 3 were handled with the matter of a phone calls. 1-800 lighting and Hinkley fans were outstanding in providing the remedy. Thank You

Very fast and helpful customer service. They helped me straighten out some mistakes I had made while ordering.

Final touch to finished redecorating a bedroom, was to find the "perfect" lamp. Visited multiple stores, till finally went to Capitol L. store. Dennis was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. He understood what I was looking for and helped me to get it. The service over all was excellent. Quality of delivery (packaging) superb. Time of the delivery was too long and that is why Capital L did not get 5 stars.

Three shipping Delays. Despite website stating in stock. Getting a straight answer would be more helpful from a potato.

Missed the most recent Shipping date of August 28th.

They bait you with a 20% off coupon and reasonable shipping lead times, charge your credit card, push out your product ESD, hope you forget about the order, and carry on scamming other people.

I should have paid the extra 20% and ordered from New York Lighting. At least they always fulfill my orders promptly!

Somehow suspect I will have to dispute the $600 charge with my bank.

Wendy Pelligrino was so friendly, patient and helpful throughout the process. We’re building a home and had never purchased “post lights” (an HOA requirement) before. She found the correct post accessories and gave us a great discount. When my husband heard about my positive experience and saw the quote, he suggested I ask Wendy to quote the rest of the lights we’d selected at our builder’s designated store. It was nice to have the option to easily reconnect with the person who’d done the initial quote. The other lights were also less expensive and in stock at Capitol, so we ended up placing the order for all of our lights with Wendy and deleted the previous hold at the builder’s store. Lastly, we needed to have the lights shipped to my parents in FL so they’d be able to take them to the building site when needed; Wendy patiently coordinated that as well.

To this point, I've only placed an order. As I've not received the product, I cannot assess the speed r quality of deliver, or the quality of the product. The website made searching for what I desired easy, though I found the prices of some items to be unbelievably high. I have the money, but $4K for a floor lamp? I'd suggest that this survey not be sent to purchasers until after the product has been received.

I have always had great experiences with Capitol Lighting. They ship quickly, package well, have fair prices and if there happens to be a problem they always take care of it. I would do business with them again

I recently enjoyed working with Wendy to find the perfect kitchen light over my table. I was struggling to find something that matched the color and decor of my other lights, and it felt like an impossible task. However, Wendy's expertise and eye for design made all the difference. Within a short period, she magically found the perfect light that fit my kitchen beautifully and seamlessly complemented my existing decor. Ted was.so helpful and patient. Truly amazing customer service

When my order of 8 lights was delivered I discovered I had not ordered the correct bulbs for the smaller 4 lights. In addition the glass globe on one of the larger ones was broken. I called and was easily able to order the bulbs and a replacement globe was ordered and delivered quickly. The staff were professional and helped me with both issues.

Ordered several ceiling fans for my home. Arrived sooner than expected and can’t say enough positive things about customer service.

Unfortunately lights I ordered did not work. I needed to return them. There was a glitch in fed ex labels but thankfully Kelly from the company was able to rectify. Great customer service from her!
