Excellent from start to finish
Whilst waiting for someone to take my call to British Gas, I played around on the internet and found IGas. Gave them a call and inside of 90 minutes I had a quote. From then on, my hand was held and together we went through the entire process of connection to gas mains. From that first call to the time they smoothed off the cement around the meter case, everything was perfect: courtesy, promptness, experience, knowledge, cheerfulness - I could go on and on. It was a superlative experience from start to finish. I rate them five star+.

The service from quotation to installation is very well delivered, reasonably priced and involves minimal paperwork.
My experience of other service providers over the last 40 years is of seemingly endless forms, dealing with different departments who do not themselves have any contact and the extensive waiting periods for the installation. So my two experiences with 1st Gas have been a breath of fresh air.

I sincerely apologise for the long wait. Because the flat was on the first floor, the cost should have been much more expensive, but because of a mistake by our contractors, they agreed to honour the much lower price issued but it took some time to negotiate doing the right thing on your behalf. This created a large saving on what the cost should have been so hopefully this goes some way to making amends for the wait.

Beyond outstanding
I had been struggling to arrange a change of gas meter for a very long time. Professional gas safe plumbers said they found it a challenge. The work arranged by 1 gas was however outstanding. Unlike all other previous contacts they listened they understood and basic services like actually looking at the property on the internet giving a prompt quote and sticking to it all great. I was anxious about dates and nothing was too much trouble if we had issues with arranging other contractors they were happy and responsive to look at changes. Nothing they were responsible for went wrong. When other contractors seriously let us down 1gas contact actually researched what might help and offered to try to assist. Always had a direct and responsive contact. They are simply outstanding

bomb site
Total disscued in the aftermath of work the contractors left site looking like a bomb site the mud needed het washing my lawn has been left in a shocking state and the edgeing curbs have dropped and now are look terrible.... I don't recommend there work
