Excellent service
Excellent service, received all quotes within 2/3 hours for a gearbox.
Dealt with Johnston Vauxhall breakers who delivered the box within 4 days and that was over a bank holiday weekend. Supplied with 6 month warranty.
Prices and warranties varied greatly but there was choice there to compare best deal for me.
Excellent system to source parts.
Hassle-free spare part hunting!
As someone who knows next to nothing about cars, and finds the whole area of car maintenance quite daunting, I was a bit overwhelmed when my wheel was so damaged by potholes that it needed replacing. The idea of having to contact scrap merchants was frankly terrifying. So discovering 1st Choice Spares was amazing.
One online form to fill in to say what I was after, and by the same afternoon, I had received more than a dozen quotes from all round the country.
I picked one, had a message within the hour to say my order was sorted, and would be dispatched later the same day. And I received my replacement wheel, delivered by courier, the next day.
Absolutely brilliant!
I really was impressed.
Just the search site I needed..!
Struck out in my search for a car part until I found this site, then great news the part was found, job done..!
Bought a Nissan Qashqai passenger door…
Bought a Nissan Qashqai passenger door that was described by the merchant as having 'no damage whatsoever' and whole. These points were very important and I ensured the colour matched my car as I'd intended to do a direct swap. I paid over market price for this reason. When the door arrived, it had missing paint with poor repair work, cracked lacquer, scratches, dents, damaged plastic trim, and a missing door card. There was also a screw through the door where the merchant had fixed a piece of wood to it.
I tried to get a refund, and the merchant advised that I should have rejected the door when received. Something the merchant failed to notify me of at any point until I'd placed a complaint approximately 15 minutes after the door arrived. The merchant also claimed that I was aware of it's condition as they had sent some low resolution photos that were taken from a distance. This is what prompted me to ask for a written description of the damage. Apparently the merchant's 'no damage whatsoever' description held no weight in their eyes as they claimed the photos trumped this.
Part of this damage was caused by the merchant screwing a piece of wood to the door and to a pallet. Protection to the paintwork and rest of the door was provided by a small amount of plastic wrap. Despite this the majority of damage appears to have been present before dispatch as there is old and dry grime engrained in the plastic trim scratches and under the lacquer cracks.
The merchant first advised they needed photos showing the damage and a refund would be given. Once they were sent over they then advised that I need to return the door in its original condition and they will assess whether I'm due a refund. This was apparently because I hadn't rejected the door. I am unwilling to return the door as the Merchant cannot supply clear images of the door's condition before dispatch. And so, they have created a scenario where I am unable to return the door as a) it has apparently been damaged in transit, which I should have rejected it for despite not being advised this was a condition of sale and b) the merchant cannot provide something for me to reference its current condition against so they could potentially demand I pay to ship the door back if they reject the refund.
All through this, the only assistance from 1st Choice I have received is them simply forwarding messages to the merchant, and back again. I've sent messages to 1st Choice several times and through several means but all have been ignored. Also tried calling the phone number but noone ever picks up. So I now have a door that I cannot do anything with apart from pay out another £600 to get it to the condition it should have been supplied.
Now might get a reply stating that I've been supplied with this and that. But the truth of it is that
- none of the photos were clear enough to confidently discern the door condition
- I was lied to about the condition of a £450 door
- it was poorly prepared for dispatch
- the photo of the packaged door was conveniently taken from an angle where the screwed piece of wood was on the other side
- No terms and conditions were issued (a 1st Choice requirement)
- At no point was I told to reject the door
- The merchant has photos of the damaged door as they told me they were needed for a refund. So I suppose they'll make a claim against the courier and win-win!
Be warned, I wish I had paid attention to the negative reviews here
Update 30/05/25.
And so the standard Customer Service reply has been added below this review stating that they've been working on it since the 25th. If 'working on it' means acting like a glorified version of WhatsApp and not making any effort whatsoever. Then yes, they have!
And I have tried contacting 1st Choice using their suggested method a few times but they've all been ignored.
Absolutely useless!

Check part numbers carefully
Wrong part number after phone call to confirm this and the part was damaged so couldn't be used.
Update. Contacted supplier with proof and now refunded.

This is an invaluable tool for locating spare parts. The part I was looking for was very scarce so it took some time and several repeat enquiries, but eventually was sourced.
I recommend using the 1st choice online payment option.

Faulty Part Delivered
I recently on Ebay bought a Reconditioned Ford S-Max Instrument Cluster Speedo 8M2T-10849-B, from usedfordspares.co.uk via1st Choice Spares Ltd
Request ID No. 20202709. On 17th Dec 2024.
Because of a Health Issue I've only jjust got around to Unpacking it and fitting it on 6th May 2025 and it has a Fault with all the lights Flashing and the Mileage digital display not showing.
Ive tried resetting it with an OBD Diagnostic Tool to no affect.
The only reason I was changing it was the one I took out was for a Deisel Car and had an engine light fault displayed. My car is Petrol, it worked fine apart from that. The one that was sent to me obviously was NOT reconditioned.
I asked USED FORD SPARES LTD to change it for one that is Ok or Re-Imburse me for the cost ASAP Please. But they refused and said it was out of warranty. I believed due to my medical condition and the fact that I had only just unpacked and fitted the part that they would make an exception for me, I said that if they changed it I would give them a Good Review. But they wouldn't. I would not recommend this company at all.

Cheap and quick
Got my part couple of days after I ordered it. Part was 100% what I asked for and was the cheapest from about half a dozen others who quoted me. Could not have asked for more
Found part so hard to source elsewhere.
Needed a head unit for my BMW 320d Msport. A very specific part. Got several quotes almost immediately and chose the pick of the bunch. Great price, terrific communication from beginning to end, and the part arrived a few days later. Excellent service and will definitely use them again (hopefully I won't need to but you never know). Would recommend to anyone looking for spares at reasonable prices. 10/10.

Very quick feedback regarding the correct products and clear pricing. Everyone I made contact with rang me back and I successfully sourced a part.
Outstanding service.
I required a brake servo for my audi and within a few hours received two quotes. I then confirmed the part number with Steve at A-Z Vehicle Dismantlers in Carlisle and it arrived the next day. He then sent an additional part that the garage needed directly to them free of charge in order that I could have my repair completed for the bank holiday weekend. From start to finish, this service was truly exceptional. More than any customer could reasonably expect. Thanks to 1st Choice Spares and in particular to Steve at A-Z for a wonderful experience that I will be highly recommending to anyone who asks.
Great!

Waste of time and money.the management system is totally crap. I placed an order to them after few days later when I was expecting that my part is arriving, I received an e mail by the 1st choice spares that part is not available and we will refund your money.it will take another 5 working days? What a joke?
I am seriously pissed off . Now my car is in the garage and I told to my mechanic that this part is arriving tomorrow.
I would never recommend to anyone. 1st choice 😂 is should be last choice if you want to waste your time and money.
