How this company uses Trustpilot
See how their reviews and ratings are sourced, scored, and moderated.
You expect insurance, you expect fast response times with a name like 247. But what you get is an inept business whose own lack of knowledge of their own T&C’s or your policy cover level is incredible. Service engineer didn’t notice leak at annual service, called to get fixed, engineer arrived two later, basically said it’s leaking, left it leaking and went on his merry way. What a surprise my leak on a Home plus policy cover was not covered?? My excess fee was not returned even though no work was completed, second opinion from local plumber says o rings perish, completed at odds with what there engineer said. Offered £17.50 refund and passed me the financial ombudsman details. The ombudsman takes 6 months to respond, going to be quite the water damage by the time the complaint gets settled

The engineer Lewis that came out was professional and efficient
Also reminded me about service book notes on back of boiler manual for warranty purposes

Sorry this is a bit long but believe me you need to read it all!
The worst company I’ve ever dealt with.
I was with them for 12 months and had a boiler service. Based on the negative reviews I’m praying it works in winter.
Then the price went right up so I phoned to cancel.
It took over 15 minutes to cancel and I had to get very assertive with them as they do not like no for an answer. They pass you from one colleague to another, each with a spin on why you should stay. I say no, just cancel for goodness sake, and the response again is ‘I will madam but first let us see if we can do something with the price’, for the umpteenth time!!
This is hard selling tactics and, if elderly, I feel I’d have stayed due to such hard selling tactics. I got very firm and stated CANCEL NOW.
Two weeks later , this week, I got a call from them stating I could pay the same low price as last year but with £45 excess. A better deal I thought. They said they would claim for last two weeks and restart the cover. I argued I’m not paying for two weeks I’ve not been covered for . They said, well otherwise you’ll start again from new with a 14 day cooling off period where you’re not covered if you don’t pay back those two weeks. Again, this went on for 10 minutes where they don’t take no as an answer so I agreed I’d pay for last two weeks…. I just wanted it done and got nowhere saying I wanted that cooling off period.
THEN…. About an hour later, only when checking my emails, an email from them stating the ‘system’ won’t allow them to do a £45 excess with the low monthly payment so your excess is £95!
A further email said ignore previous email?! Luckily I didn’t ignore it as, when I rang them the next day , they went away for 13 minutes then came back saying they’d just pass me to another colleague. Here we go again , one colleague to another … hard sell like I’ve never seen before…. I firmly stated do not pass me to anyone, are you doing £45 excess or not? He then admitted NO, so I state cancel now, do not pass me around, do not negotiate further as you’ve wasted my time yet again.
I followed up with an email saying I feel this is a scam due to giving one price then emails come giving a different price, then emails telling you ignore it even though they actually had more than doubled the excess.
The hard, hard selling tactics, waiting on the phone forever etc and if I was elderly I’d have easily got confused with it all and signed up to get them off the phone as they do not take no easily.
I emailed stating ‘do not contact me by phone or email ever again as I feel they’re the worst firm for disgusting tactics used and feel it’s all a scam’. They replied, ‘as you wish, we’ve removed you off the list so you won’t be contacted again.’
Guess what…They contacted me again. An email saying they’ve involved management and are now able to do £45 excess!!!! Sorry 24/7, my bank has put a block on your company and Trading Standards are next.
PS Literally -Just had a phone call, as I’m typing this, even though they sent that email stating they would not contact me! Harassment this is called!!
I’ve never said avoid anyone but AVOID!
Ps 24/7 I don’t need a generic response saying it’s with complaints team as I feel that’s rubbish too.
PPS The response they’re waiting for is whether I’ll accept the recent turnaround offer of £45 excess.
NO because every time I’m in touch with you, you change the goal posts! Can’t believe anything this company says.
