Total lack of communication

Placed order 4/2, no further communication received. E-mailed for an update on 4/3, they responded by forwarding it to a Chinese e-mail and asking them for a status update. E-mailed them again 4/6, no response received. I can understand if there are shipping delays (The item was in stock to ship in 24-48hrs) or otherwise but it seems communication is an issue.

Slow response time and bad experience

Update: After a couple of days, I've got my money back.

So, I had a bad experience recently.

I ordered Phrozen Sonic Mini Saturday evening.
On Sunday morning I saw that the offer changed in the shop - they upgraded plastic vat to metal one for 20$ more.
So I emailed them to ask if they will send plastic or metal vat.
Monday morning they said that it will be plastic, but they will check if it can be changed to metal.
I replied that if it can't be changed I would like to cancel that order.
Monday evening I got another mail saying that it will be plastic and metal one cost 20$ more.
I replied that I can pay the 20$ difference for the metal vat.
This morning (Tuesday) they emailed me that cost of delivery to my country (Poland) is too high and I need to pay 40$ for metal vat (almost 1/5 of the original price).
(btw. status of the order is processing, so I don't know if they send it already)

So I'm a little disappointed because they could do a lot of things to avoid this whole situation.
Like, they could ask me if I wanted an upgrade - that would be nice, or even have some kind of information that this offer is about to change.
Another thing is, that because of weekend and slow response from customer service, probably I'm not eligible for order cancellation.
Also I can't understand Phrozen's logic - it's too expensive to send metal vat, but when plastic vat cracks (and it often does) they replace it for free.

Ridiculously responsive

Ridiculously responsive? Maybe that’s not the right word :-). But I have never had such a good experience with customer support. The timing of my purchase was not great as they were completely out of stock and missed a holiday and a pandemic outbreak. Despite all of this, they still manage to get my order out after multiple emails to update me on the status so that I never had to worry about what was going on. When it finally arrived, everything was as advertised And even quite a bit better than expected.

2nd time using 3dPrintersbay

I first heard about 3dprintersbay a while back when helping a buddy get his first 3d Printer. This company stood out to me for having amazing prices on printers, some even cheaper than the specific manufacturers.

We had anticipated on the printer taking at least a month to receive it, coming from China. Though to our surprise it shipped a few days after the purchase, and was delivered about a week after.

Once we assembled the printer we had a few minor technical issues when first firing it up ( And by no means was it 3dPrintersBay fault, it was the printers manufacturer) we sent a message to PrintersBay and within 8 hours had a response from 3DPrintersBay as well as the manufacturer, along with the solve to our issues. It was nice to get help so quick.

Fast forward to now, I was shopping for my second printer and decided to purchase through 3dprintersbay. Unfortunately due to the Chinese New Year and backorder, I didn't receive the printer as quick as my buddy's. Oh well, not a big deal, as I was just eager to tinker with a new printer.

It arrived undamaged, and am overall pretty happy with it.

The one thing I would've appreciated would be a email with a status/explanation. Other than that, I have nothing negative to say about this company, and I would recommend using them to anyone!

Where did everybody go? No communication - UPDATED!!!

I placed an order through 3DPrintersBay (3DPB) for an Anycubic Photon S on Feb. 8 2020. I immediately received an order confirmation, and the funds I used were taken out of the account I used (no problem). I created an account with 3DPB the following Monday and emailed and asked that my order could be posted to the account so I could better track it's progress. Andy got right back to me and informed me that everything was all set, which it was, and all seemed well. The order was then showing "Awaiting Fulfillment". Unfortunately as of today this has not changed and my order is still showing as such. I have reached out to 3DPB asking about the status of the order and initially was copied on Feb. 13 on an email from 3DPB to AnyCubic asking for a status update - to which I never saw a reply. Many times since then I have attempted to contact both 3DPB and AnyCubic about this and have never received any additional information. I perfectly understand that at this time there may be certain uncontrollable factors in the delay of this shipment, but any kind of update from either company would be appreciated and expected.
I have tried many times to resolve this through 3DPB before posting any kind of negative review but am growing weary. I even emailed Andy and said that at this point I would like for my order to be cancelled, hoping to get some kind of reply, but that never happened. So here I am, out the cost of the printer and no end in sight to this problem. All I am wanting is the printer I ordered and to know when I will be receiving it.

UPDATE: After emailing back the 3DPB team, it was discovered that emails sent by them were redirected to my spam folder. The issue was resolved and I am happy to up 3DPB rating. The only reason why 5 stars is not given is that while the site offered shipment from a US warehouse, the order was to be shipped from China.

UPDATE NO. 2: Andy and the team at 3DPB worked hard to resolve my situation. Printer received today and I am up and running. Thanks Andy, and 3DPD will be my first choice for all me 3D printing needs.

Great attention and very fast answering

Finally this weekend I could have time to assemble this HUGE printer, and after a couple of hours, (I take my ti study and check how is made and the quality of the components), I start printing without any important issue (still improving my config in simplify3d). Very happy with this printer, has a lot of.potential, and could be tuned in so many ways, I recommend 100%,, good quality for the price, and thinking to buy another one.

lack of good customer service

Frustrated because I went to their website and it says they are based out of Florida and I was looking to order parts from a USA based source because I needed them quickly. The website is just a gateway to order but the parts still come from China.

Ordered Feb 5th, did not receive any confirmation email. Parts did not ship until Feb 12 and shipped the slowest possible way. (In fairness there may be other uncontrollable factors for the delay in shipment) but the lack of communication make me very hesitant to use this source again.

I3 Megas and 2 Ender 3’s at a great price

Purchased 3 I3 Megas and 2 Ender 3’s, all shipped very quick, arrived undamaged with no issues. Ender 3’s both came with a removable building tack surface and the glass print bed with the black dot matrix on top like the i3’s come with.

A20T with 3D Touch

Bought a Geeetech A20T with a 3D Touch before christmas 2019 and it came with a bad 3D Touch. 3DPrintersBay was very helpful and responsive. Had a new 3D Touch in a few days! Top Notch.

Good middleman

Nice website, responsive by email, product was good value, was overall quite happy.
Was a bit disappointed that all my queries we're redirected to the manufacturer of the 3D printer that I purchased, it made me wonder why I didn't just purchase it straight from the OEM

Great value, but slow delivery with wrong plug.

Ordered my AnyCubic i3 Mega 3D printer online from 3DPrintersBay. It was dispatched from the nearest depot in Germany for delivery to UK. Whilst the purchase was excellent value for money, it took a painful 3 weeks to arrive, and then with the incorrect electrical plug.
I am, however, delighted with the printer.
