Harassing people

If you mistakenly drop anything then pick it up, they still say “an offence has been committed” (it’s not an offence if you pick it up) and try to intimidate you into handing over your details and giving you a £120 fine.
Some get very aggressive if you tell victims they have no power to detain or take your details, they target women, vulnerable on their own and foreigners who don’t speak English.
Just walk away and ignore them, they may follow but they can’t do anything.
Manchester City council need to get rid of these thugs

I got swooped on today by 2 guys from 3GS in Manchester. I dropped my cigarette on the floor outside the office building (where there is no bin, or cigarette bin) to put it out and as i bent down to pick it up (to take and wrap in tissue and disregard), they were right there! Scared the life out of me. He was telling me my rights and asked for my details, making out it was just a warning. Next thing I know I've got a £120 fine!! Embarrassing to say the least in front of colleagues and members of the public. Absolute joke. I suffer with terrible anxiety and this caused me to have a panic attack. I have never had any type of fine before. They are just vultures. Absolutely disgusting behaviour. I have paid it but will be disputing - if I'd known, I would have just walked away. They didnt tell me i was getting an on the spot fine . Jokers

Stopped at Bristol Temple Meads

Stopped at Bristol Temple Meads.
Had suffered a awful journey from Liverpool on a overcrowded hot train.
Stepped outside with my 14 year old daughter for a cigarette.
Could not see a bin and left my roll up butt ( no filter literally a cm piece of very thin paper.
Was approached on entering the station and asked by a rather burly man was I aware I had committed an offence.
Said I’d not seen a bin and walked outside picked up the piece of paper and put it in suggested bin.
I was then asked for my details but not told why.
I pointed out that the large male and his partner stood next to me had just left 2 butts on the floor and a can, as where a lot of people surrounding me.
This was ignored and I was left shaking and my daughter v upset.
I was definitely targeted off being a petite woman not a big male who would be a threat.
Disgusting bullying behaviour.
Later learnt that I needn’t have given my details. Fine payed.
Bristol City Council need to review this intimidating bunch of bullies.

Refuse details

Refuse details, ask to speak to an officer, they are powerless. Don’t fall for their scare tactics. They apparently wanted to call an armed response team on me because ‘I’m a big lad’. Absolute joke these people are!

I had an experience with two of these…

I had an experience with two of these officers yesterday after dropping a cig end down the drain, I know now this is also littering but in my honest I ignorance I wouldn't have had this down as littering. (All sorts goes down drains)
Anyway my fine is paid yes I commited the offence but my problem with this company is the scare tactics they use, approaching me after watching me for 10 minutes (take it they had nothing better to do than entrap me)
Telling me my rights in court and demanding I provide some forms of ID and that they were issuing me with a warning.
Talk about caught off guard as I was working... I Didn't know that I didn't have to give them my details but I also didn't have time to have the police called on me outside my workplace.
I gave my details had the fine issued... But £120!!! How is this justified?
So iv taken my complaint to Manchester City Council as that's who employs this private company which is probably the best for anyone else to do in your city as the bully tactics used by this company are disgusting and its all just about hitting targets and making money as read by a previous employee. Nothing much to do with caring about the environment.
Seemingly they target vulnerable people from what I have read.
3gs this is disgusting behaviour!
Although I'm not so convinced that anyone from 3gs reads these reviews but I hope they do!

I suffer badly with anxiety and since this my anxiety has got worse!! They didn't even show me any identification, awful people

These are debt collectors in disguise, petty mfs, suck a D* !!!

Got fined for cig littering and was not given a chance to redeem, £120, ARE YOU JOKING?!!! Absolutely disgraceful and outrageous!!! as a foreigner living in the UK, never would I have known that the UK gov would just turn a blind eye and let this happen, CORRUPTED TO THE CORE!! The way that those greedy fools ran to me hoping to get that extra bonus raise is just beyond me, and what sickens me more is that these petty fools had the audacity to demand my personal details as if they were some proper police officers or what. Honestly, I am so done with the UK gov, it's all BS, and this 3GS company should be called a debt collector, not in the name of "good cause" as if they are really contributing something, funny huh. Hope that the company gets taken down one day and these REAL CRIMINALS get dealt with properly in court!!!

Harrassed autistic woman because of wind blowing cig.

Would give them negative stars if possible. I was fined 2 years ago after placing my cigarette butt into the top of a litter bin, which then blew out of the bin (it was a considerably windy day) and ended up on the floor.
The 3GS 'enforcer' cornered me outside the arndale, this was in the height of covid. He got into my face and as I continued to move back for my own safety he invaded my space until I was quite literally backed into a corner. I was 24 at the time. I have autism, I don't deal well with people as it is and this confrontation made me incredibly distressed for a time after. I told him I didn't intentionally litter and that he had clearly seen me dispose of my cig properly therefore should not be fined. He shouted at me that I could be arrested, and when I told him that I am autistic his words were; "I don't give a toss what you've got". I rely on disability money and I felt threatened to pay my fine. In my distressed state I did not know these fools actually have 0 power. I feel as though I was taken advantage of and robbed, as someone who relies on benefits I struggled to pay the £125 I was fined as it was an expense that wasn't in my budget, and opted not to pay other important bills that month.
Navigating daily tasks such as shopping in large busy areas is hard enough for me without being targeted by someone twice my size. I was so distressed I had a panic attack and could not do my shopping (which is double edged since I would not have been able to afford it anyway after such fine). I struggled to get myself home safely and this day still makes me very upset when I think of it, especially now I have the information I do and realise I did not actually need to pay the fine. I feel as though I have been taken advantage of and robbed.

All they want is money, they don't care about the environment

All they want is money, they don't care about the environment.
Instead of giving a warning to non-British citizens they automatically want to charge you even if you offered to pick up the litter.
In a more civilised country, you have a chance to get a warning first, but not in the UK.
There is plenty of drug addicts around the city centre, but in their case, they can't charge them because all they care about is money, not the environment

3GS Environmental Enforcement are…

3GS Environmental Enforcement are nothing more than licensed opportunistic scam merchants.
If they approach you:-
- Demand to know their identity with proof.
- Demand they call their supervisor.
- Refuse to give your personal details to anybody other than a police officer.
- Treat them with suspicion at all times.

Fining people for feeding birds

I see this company fining people for feeding bread to pigeons. Criminal. They must be laughing at being able to get away with legalised robbery. Time to write to your MP especially Burnham in Manchester to get these types of fines stopped. Feed the birds, tuppence a bag… more like £150. When’s the revolution against this con starting?
