I ordered a jacket for my daughter at the end of November. When it arrived the heated element didn’t work on much of the back. It didn’t reach a very warm temperature so I decided not to have a replacement. The parcel was sent back by recorded delivery. In spite of emailing several times I still haven’t had my money returned. Poor quality jacket and even worse customer service

I have had nothing but awful customer support from this company.
I ordered a jacket online using my credit and was told after the money was taken that my order was cancelled, and money returned because I was flagged as a risky customer offering no explanation.

I tried re-ordering by PayPal only to be told once again I was flagged as a risky customer. Finally I had to place a direct PayPal payment for another order only to be told the were out of stock and they had no idea when they would be restocking giving the vaguest lead times of between 2 wks and 12 months - Seriously???!! What kind of system takes your money first before processing an order???!!! Payment is usually the last step on any online purchase. This is akin to theft.

After numerous calls and emails, I was promised a delivery before Christmas that did not happen and am now having to wait at home because a tracking number has not been provided. Meanwhile their phone line is permanently engaged or not returning calls.

Frankly I would expect this sort of bad service from some outsource support centre in India not here in the UK.

I ordered a gilet for my father's Christmas present at the end of October and was told they were out of stock.

I contacted customer services who confirmed that I would have the item in time for the holidays. The money was taken from my account
at the point of order and not refunded in lieu of their stock position.

At the end of November, I contacted them again and, as previously, was promised pre-Christmas delivery. I even offered to accept a different item to ensure i received it. On the 23rd December after another round of emails, I received a despatch notification from 8k along with a tracking number from DHL to confirm item would be delivered 24th December. When I tracked the parcel on Christmas Eve, DHL confirmed the consignment was raised but not collected. A ploy to make people think they were getting goods? When I tried to ring them, there was now a message instead of the usual switchboard options. I left a voicemail requesting a call back but that never happened either.

To top it off, they still have my money and I cannot expect it back until after the holidays now.

BE VERY CAREFUL DEALING WITH THIS COMPANY.

My wife purchased the MENS HEATED JACKET in late October, 2019 for my birthday which is on November 27. When I opened the gift and tried the product, I found it to be inadequately warm and misadvertised. The photos show that the pockets are warmed in the front, yet the heating elements in the jacket I received covered about the upper 1/4 of the pockets, not where you'd place your hands when they are cold. As a result, we asked to return the product for a refund and were denied the ability to do this based on a (crazy) short 14 day return window. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS JACKET AS A GIFT if the recipient of the jacket isn't going to open it within 14 days. Customer service didn't give a rip about our situation. STAY AWAY from this overpriced gadget.

Keeps me lovely and warm while watching the rugby!

At 7am in Winter in the North of England this thing is brilliant. No complaints, makes a very welcome difference to my commute.

I've been very impressed with my jacket, it heats up quickly and keeps me warm on winter walks in the countryside.

I bought three jackets because I liked the idea of a self warming jacket.
We tested them for two hours and were very disappointed.
They don´t get hotter than 35 degrees Celsius. Two of them only reach 32 degrees Celsius after two hours of walking around, which is really cold.
Every normal winter jacket is much warmer than the Flexwarm (which promise to heat up to 50 degrees Celsius). You are really freezing with it and it wasn´t even cold outside (about 8 degrees Celsius).

I sent them back to recieve a refund (because they don´t work like promised), but they just tell me that they don´t accept the refund because all three have a bad smell.
What a joke, we just tested them for two hours! They are nearly brand new!

I contacted PayPal buyer protection. The good reviews have to be a joke.
Just be careful! We are talking about € 750,- in my case...

A reasonable jacket, but for the price paid the quality is substandard and the warranty is misleading.

I have had my jacket for ten months and used it only very occasionally. Unfortunately the stitching around the seam has come loose and despite me contacting 8kflexwarm to solve the problem, they refused to help. Their website claims that the jackets are under warranty for 12 months and they will solve any manufacturing defects. Actually, when I contacted them, they told me they will only solve problems relating to the jacket tech. I am so disappointed with the false advertising on their warranty. The stitching has not been caught on anything and I believe it to not have been finished correctly. There are several other loose threads across the jacket too. These were present when it was bought for me.

The battery also seems to drain quickly. I am switching the jacket off, but perhaps it need unplugging each time from the battery pack. Overall it's disappointing.
