worst company ever

Stopped my online access, staff evasive, do not answer e mails or phones, re direction to a non functioning web site. Will not allow me to transfer my ISA out and will not tell me where the funds are currently. ISA transferred without my permission to ABRDN. This company is to be avoided at all costs, I have never come across such a useless outfit, likely my funds have already been taken. Tried to register for on line access their security said some one else using my e mail address. IT just goes on.

Terrible and Worrying

Terrible. Account was moved without my knowledge from Standard Life, it was only when I logged into Standard Life a box appeared saying account moved. I have contacted ABDRN numerous times and each time they say they will send me the link to register. Have been chasing them for this since beginning of March and as yet no link. Am worried now how to get access to my money as I want to withdraw and close my account due to problems and have no faith/trust in this company. What can I do?????

ABRDN is very worrying

Like most other reviewers here I had an ISA with Standard Life for years without issue. At the beginning of March I tried to log in but just got a message which said the ISA had been moved to ARBDN and an email would be sent with new logon instructions.

I waited a couple of weeks and no email arrived so called them and eventually got through to an agent, who sounded completely disinterested, and was told there were problems with the portal access and they didn’t know when it would be fixed.

It’s now been a month without access and still no email. I worked in IT for a large bank for years and we moved huge numbers of accounts between systems over a weekend. The new systems were repeatedly tested and the old system was never turned off before everything was okay. Not being able to fix access to a system after a month is very worrying.

I’ve raised a ISA transfer request to another company but am very worried about how ABRDN will handle this. I strongly recommend you move your accounts from ABRDN if possible.

STEER CLEAR!!!!!!!

STEER CLEAR!!!!!!!

Worse experience I have ever known. Took 4 months of communication for them to actually find my account after the move from Standard Life. Still attempting to get this resolved. I had no prior knowledge to the move.

Appalling service - Stay Clear

Appalling service - they moved my ISA from Standard Life to ABRDN without my knowledge.
I am sure they have to inform you of this, Is this not illegal ?
For years I was happily using Standard life with web access for Pension and ISA,
easy to access, invest, manage and use.

Then transferred to ABRDN, account disappeared off Standard Life platform

Now with ABRDN I have no knowledge of how much is in the account
no web access and long wait times when calling,
totally incompetent I have chased this continuously for a month.
I have to call in to get a balance
I have made complaints, with no response, they don’t care about customers.
Stay clear, Transfer your money out if you can as soon as possible

Awful company

Awful company - they moved my ISA from Standard Life to Abrdn. Excellent app and access with Standard Life, no app, no web access and 60 mins for an answer on any call - this company is incompetent and treat their customers like scum. Only access is now via phone or post - back to the 1990’s !!!!!! Never ever go with them, as soon as possible move your money !

Strange goings on at ABRN

There is something very strange going on at this company...
The Debit Card top up facility for dealing has been unavailable for over 4 months.
All you get is a message saying "its being updated....."
Why so long, it doesnt feel right or inspire faith in ABRN

ADRDN a complete shower. AVOID

Have not access to old Standard Life Fundzone platform since the cutover to ABRDN wrap. Customer service is a joke, cannot contact them by phone and emails are ignored. I was not even advised I would be using the Wrap platform, came as a shock when I was taken to a new webpage, thought I'd been scammed. I still might have been. ADRDN are a total shambles. Next review with my IFA and I'm moving. Bunch of incompetents.

Shambles!

After nearly 3 weeks wait and a telephone call on 2nd March I finally received an email yesterday asking me to register for access my old Standard Life Wrap Account. I duly registered this morning via the OKTA link and received a One Time Activation Link which I enabled immediately.

I then tried to log in to review my Wrap account and this was “Denied”. The “Denied” message referred me to “Wrap Support” but there was no clue how to access Wrap Support nor does there even appear to be any Wrap Support mentioned on the Abrdn website!

After 10 years of good management from Standard Life, I am extremely disappointed and currently have no confidence in Abrdn’s management of my savings.
I am on the point of transferring my funds to a more user friendly manager and would appreciate an immediate response.

Will never deal with ABRDN again

ABRDN received my Special Delivery request on 21 February 2023 (confirmed by track and trace) to withdraw all my units. It alleges the letter was not received until 27 February.
It is going to remit funds to my bank on 14 March, 21days later.
Emails to customer relations and direct to its CEO do not receive an acknowledgement or response.
You cannot get a value on the Internet as the site is continually down.
I find the above as being totally unacceptable.
Glad I am severing all connection with it never to return.
Would score 0 if it were possible.
A similar request to Aviva was processed in 4 days.

Terrible company.

Terrible company.
I have been locked out of an ISA since December.
They said they were due to arrange access at the start of Feb and that date has fallen back and back.
Tried to call just now, waited 25 mins and the person answering the phone said "sorry I can't hear you, I'm cancelling the call" Avoid like the plague!

Looks like ABRDN has changed the IT…

Looks like ABRDN has changed the IT platform for the Standard Life SIPP "client" account.

Access has been disabled for nearly a week. At first a generic site "failed to load" message. Days later a brief "Under maintenance" message. Yet the IFA login was getting a meaningful message all along.

Today the client access is back. But the site is very slow loading pages. So slow I gave up waiting.

I would have been sacked if my online booking systems had performed like this. But that was in the late 1980s. There's no excuse for this in today's online world.

Imagine if this had been an airline or banking site?

I pay enough in monthly "Platform" charges and I expect 24x7 access. Or at least for 99.9% of the time!

Total lack of customer care

Total lack of customer care. Total lack of interest in customer care. Complained to them about that. Received some compensation, eventually. Received more compensation because they could not be bothered to handle the compaint in a timely manner. Cannot be bothered with the Ombudsman, too much like hard work. Left for a new financial advisor, which cost me money because they had locked me in to their investments, money I will soon recover from better management.

Unbelievable

It seems I’ve just joined the 92% of people who think this company’s service is a disgrace.
I have shares as a result of a takeover and normally received a dividend cheque. I then had letters telling me.......not asking me......that my dividend will now only be paid directly to a bank and that I have to set up a portal.........
Registration to the portal has been a nightmare and still isn’t complete......refused to accept shareholder reference number. So phone call number 1.......After 38minutes get to speak to ‘Charlie’......who immediately put me on hold for 17minutes.....then I was connected to the customer satisfaction survey......Call 2........different person...same result......this went on for 7 calls......eventually got through to someone who did actually give me a different shareholder number......it worked.....however what a totally miserable person.....if you don’t want the job...don’t do it
So I got registered.....guess what...the activation codes don’t work......more calls....more on hold....more try to activate to the point I now have to wait for yet another letter with a new code.....

So to make it simpler for the company we all have to log on....to a system that doesn’t work, won’t let you register. Wont activate and results in a letter to me to activate an on line system........instead of just sending the cheque.!!!!!
Like others have said......do I trust these....no.....and perhaps that’s why all the brokers are saying sell, sell, sell....
