This company is incompetent

This company is incompetent, not only that but somehow insurance companies still choose to use this company. Florida Blue is a chief culprit. ACCREDO delays medications messes up prior authorizations and uses the excuse of sending things to "backend" teams to delay further. This company needs to be sued, because you cant run them out of business by avoiding them.

Accredo: Unethical and Masters of Gaslighting

Accredo is an unethical pharmacy that actively gaslights patients. Their motto, “We are here for you” is anything but true. Each of the dozen representatives I spoke with gave a different reason for not sending the medication despite insurance approval, paid co-payment, and pharmacist consultation. False claims that the medication was a “refill” (it was a first time order!) or the “co-payment was not made”, or “shipping issue” were some of the reasons I was given for the delay when I called or they called me. Shame on you, Accredo, you serve patients with chronic and complex health issues. If you are “here for us”, then, stop lying and center vulnerable patients' needs in an honest, transparent, and ethical manner. Accredo does not deserve any stars but instead to be held accountable and answer for their criminal behavior.

Accredo horrible service

The companies goal is to deny you medicine. I think they'd be happy if they killed you as long as they made a profit. Pure scum. I hope the class action lawsuit breaks them!

Class Action Lawsuit Accredo - Worse Company Ever

If you depend on Accredo for monthly biologics, transplant meds, or other high-
cost therapies and have suffered dangerous delays, hidden charges, or

Today it's peat and repeat of my experience in October-November 2025, eight different phone calls to try and get my arthritis medication. I had a melt down and almost a nervous breakdown dealing with this company. Many of their representatives don't speak English very well, talk way too fast and don't listen. I received my medication via overnighted 12 November, with no pills left from previous RX, Thought I'd go through a different pharmacy, but unfortunately, only pharmacy that does my medication. So today I am trying to get a new RX filled due to my rheumatologists not putting refills on prior RX. She did the same thing yesterday to me, so I am screwed AGAIN and will be dealing with this same issue at the end of February 2026. I am a retired USAF veteran with 25 years of honorable service, and this company is by far the worst I've ever dealt with. Do Better Accredo.

Horrible Experiences Dealing with Accredo

They aren't able to fulfill a single prescription without getting it wrong. They outsource their customer service to another country with language barriers to keep their costs low and profits high at the detriment of the consumer. Any problem you have takes days and hours on the phone just trying to get simple solutions.
I hate that I have to use them.

Demoralizing and exhausting experience

This experience has been completely demoralizing. Over more than two months, I spoke with at least 8–12 different people and worked through both prior authorization and insurance coverage - multiple times. The lack of coordination was staggering. One person would tell me my insurance wasn’t covering the medication, while another would call saying they were setting up delivery and giving me the exact amount I would be charged after my insurance covered it.

At one point, I even received a letter claiming they couldn’t reach me, despite all the phone calls.

After weeks of effort, I was finally told my medication was approved and scheduled to arrive two days before my appointment. Then, a day later (today), I received a call saying they wouldn’t ship it because they “needed a prior authorization”- sending me right back to the beginning of the process.

This isn't just frustrating; it is exhausting and demoralizing. The breakdown in communication is just unbelievable.

Nothing has gone right

Nothing has gone right. My doctor and I started with this company late August, maybe earlier. (My insurance has switched specialty pharmacies.) It began with my dr. putting the prior authorization paperwork in the portal multiple times and every time I called I was told the pharmacy "couldn't see it" in their portal. After about six weeks of that I gave up and asked the representative to email me the paper form and she also gave me two fax numbers. My dr. filled out the actual "paper" work and faxed it to both numbers. I received a text that the prior approval had been obtained. I called, the first time I called the rep was condescending and rude. He finally gave me a phone number, which was not a number connected to the pharmacy, but did say that the pharmacy hadn't received the prescription, so I contacted my dr. and they faxed it in. I waited for about a week and then called and a nice young man told me all that was left was pharmacist review and I should get a call in 2 to 4 days. I waited a week and called, a very nice young lady told me it was in pharmacist review and she didn't know why it was taking so long, she also told me I should hear from them in a couple of days because she was marking it urgent. I told her "thank-you" and I was going to call every 2 days if I didn't hear from them. I called today. A very polite and kind young lady told me that they just received the confirmation yesterday and it was now under pharmacist review. When questioned she indicated that they had received "something" November 24th, 3 weeks ago, she told me that she would mark this urgent and I would hear from them in 2 - 4 days. She is the third representative that was at least kind to tell me that. Let's hope third time is a charm since my HGH levels are falling into the "might as well not have any" level since I have been out. I don't know if their software engineers didn't know what they were doing, if their staff not competent and only %75 customer friendly, or if it just a lack of care and or accountability with the company, but I am contacting Blue Cross/Blue Shield (my insurance company) and vent my frustration to them as well.

There should be an option for zero…

There should be an option for zero stars for a company this bad. I have been getting my daughters medication from Accredo for a few years - it is always a hassle and we miss doses due to them running me in circles to get it filled. Currently been trying to get medication since June and get the same song and dance. They need something from the doctor, they need something from insurance, they say they have everything, set up delivery only to call and cancel it the day of. Every time you call you get someone new and they start the whole process over again. I have escalated the issue probably 5 times and get no where! I'm not sure how this business survives. Worst service I have ever had with a specialty pharmacy!

Horrible

Unfortunately my company insurance requires me to use this pharmacy for an injection I need for psoriatic arthritis. I've had to deal with them for several years and nothing changes. The questionnaire at the end of the phone conversation does not give you the opportunity to speak your mind and it only ask one question to rate on your actual experience. My arthritis is in my knees and considering calling my insurance company and tell them I am considering having my legs amputated so I no longer need to deal with Accredo pharmacy.

The worst company I have ever…

The worst company I have ever experienced. Will never shop your medication on time, “can’t fix orders on the weekend”, tries to overcharge you. I am so beyond furious with this company.

Stay far far away from Accredo! They are AWFUL

This was the most awful experience of my life. Their customer service is and was AWFUL! THANKFULLY, I was able to transfer my future orders to a local US-Based company. I will NEVER EVER use them or Express Scripts EVER EVER AGAIN! They were AWFUL! I had to keep asking them to repeat as I could not understand what they were saying. They hung up on me twice. They are foreign-based company, they do not speak English as I understand it. They were rude. I cannot possibly come up with enough words to describe how awful the experience was. I am so glad I do not have to deal with them in the foreseeable future!

Complete Incompetence

I rarely write reviews, but my experience with this pharmacy has been so awful that I am compelled to. I have been trying to refill an important prescription for a month and have talked to different customer service agents no less than 20 times with zero progress. The agents are completely ineffective, and every time they think they've solved whatever the issue is, there is no movement. Then I call back to check on status, and it's like the movie "Groundhog Day" with every new agent. We'll be looking for another pharmacy.

This pharmacy is awful

This pharmacy is awful. They do not have a direct way to contact anyone who is familiar with the case so each time you must start over. They refuse to do any work unless you are sitting on the phone with them so if you cannot remain on the line for over an hour at a time or they disconnect you while trying to transfer you to someone else, you start over. I have spent over 14 hours on the phone with them in the last 3 months trying to get my child's medication filled and still do not have refills (10+ are on his account) and this is for a private pay situation. They have zero respect for their customer's time. I have said multiple times that I have my own responsibilities and the response is "Well, then, you will have to call us back and I will note that in your file."

I never can get a refill on time

I never can get a refill on time. I was recently sent this by their online support:
"The system unfortunately shows that your prescriptions are being submitted with only 1 refill attached which can result in scheduling over the phone. For every new prescription we receive, the first fill must be scheduled by phone"
