This pharmacy is very difficult to deal with

This pharmacy is very difficult to deal with. They try to bill you directly instead of of going through insurance. They will not ship if you have an outstanding balance. The reason you have the balance is they do not bill correctly. Every month it is an issue to get my medication. I can only get it through them. Also customer service is generally poor.

If I could give 0 stars I would

If I could give 0 stars I would. So disappointed with this speciality pharmacy. My doctor had put in for prior authorizations to have my infusion approved and it did get approved I even have a letter from my insurance approving it. For a whole month the secretary from my doctor’s office and myself had to go back in forth with these people and all we kept getting was different stories and lied to. Over a month later, I now had to cancel my doctor’s appointment because they did not do their jobs and I’m now going to be over a week in a half late on getting my infusion. That’s very unprofessional on their part and it’s messing with the quality of people’s life.

God awful

God awful. DO NOT USE. I only am because I m forced to by insurance. My son went over month without his injectable medication that he has taken for 3 years because every time they ran into an issue (that they caused by misentering his insurance info) they NEVER NOT ONCE called to reach out and fix it. So every week I would call and correct whatever it was, speak to supervisors, spend hours on the phone, I was told his medicine was coming. Never came. It has been the worst experience. Then, after a month of fighting, it finally arrives with no ice packs so it was useless. Oh, and the notification that it was delivered came TWO DAYS after we got it. Than God someone was home when it was delivered.

I am now trying to refill his meds and can't because we have a bill that shouldn't even exist, but they FORGOT TO BILL HIS SECONDARY INSURANCE despite having a whole month to do it. So now his medication will be delayed again.

These guys are the absolute worst

These guys are the absolute worst. They just can’t get it right. I can’t believe Cigna is using these people. My employer pays all this money for health insurance and they contract with these people. They must have been the lowest bidder. I kid you not, a rooster was crowing into background. I missed my biological dose almost a week ago.

Needs to be -10 stars

Needs to be -10 stars. Listen to the reviews, they are all correct. Long hold times, communications. I stay on the phone with them average 50 mins. They will charge your insurance company for meds they should replace for free from the manufacturer program. I have been waiting on the replacement for 7 weeks now. Ridiculous. I am praying my doctor will get me a new pharmacy for this medication.

Incompetent Staff DONT USE THEM

I am extremely disappointed with my experience using Acreedo Specialty Pharmacy. From the very beginning, I was given misleading and completely false information just to get my daughter’s prescription transferred. Once they received the prescription, everything I was told upfront turned out to be untrue.

There has been nothing “expedited” about this process. The staff appears poorly trained, constantly providing incorrect details, false hope, and inconsistent answers. Each time I called, I received different information, making the situation even more frustrating and stressful.

This was my first time using this pharmacy, and it has been nothing but a nightmare. My biggest concern is that my daughter still has NOT received her mental health medication — something that should be handled with urgency, accuracy, and compassion. Instead, this experience has caused unnecessary delays and emotional distress.

I am extremely unhappy with the level of care and service provided.

WORST Pharmacy company ever

Zero stars if we had the option. Simply the WORST! I’ve had three separate interactions with Christina, and every single one was unacceptable. She was consistently dismissive, unprofessional, and showed no concern, or respect for patient needs. On multiple occasions she hung up the call and gave misleading information. This repeated behavior demonstrates a serious lack of respect and accountability. I hope Accredo takes this feedback seriously and ensures their representatives treat patients with honesty and compassion.

Know this before you use Accredo

Communication issues: difficulties in getting clear communication from the company.
Billing: issues with billing and insurance claims; told it was dispensed but they “made a mistake and stopped the shipment.
Medication delays in receiving their medications: this resulted in another pharmacy being unable to fill my prescription because it was “too early.”
Customer service: frustrated by the lack of customer service, including spending almost a cumulative seven hours on the phone with Accredo. Today’s call is now at 52 minutes 55 seconds.

Zero Stars if Possible

Customer service representatives are not trained about the severity of the disease of the population they serve. I have been given the runaround for several months and had multiple shipments scheduled, only to have the shipments never arrive. I get no phone call or notification there is a delay and finally call and am told they were waiting on prior authorizations- which I was told was in place prior to ordering. We use another specialty pharmacy for my son's medication and they are wonderful. Accredo wastes your time, they are not knowledgeable on the diseases for which they sell medication, and they give you the run around. Request ANY OTHER specialty pharmacy to work with if your insurance will allow it. We have worked with four others in the past and had no issue. We would sometimes have delays, but were always kept in the loop and the service representatives were compassionate and knowledgeable.

I would put zero stars if it were an…

I would put zero stars if it were an option. I placed an application and somehow have two separate accounts with the wrong name. It’s completely different than my legal name. I have called multiple times for them to correct it and it still hasn’t been fixed. I am looking into switching pharmacies. They’re highly incompetent.

Negative -5 stars is what they deserve

Negative -5 stars is what they deserve.
This has to be the worst pharmacy in the history of human healthcare. They have cost my orthopedist, Health insurance provider and myself days on the phone, all to no avail. The customer service representatives repeatedly lie and delay. They’ll tell you everything is expedited . Nothing is. They create imaginary problems in order to delay. Don’t get caught up waiting on medication from this pharmacy. You could die waiting.

Absolutely the Worst specialty…

Absolutely the Worst specialty pharmacy! If I could give negative stars I would. Nobody knows what they are doing there, you will constantly get the runaround, no clear answers to your questions. They love to delay patients medication deliveries and then blame it on the providers office or they change things within the prescription from the providers office. Hate when the insurance company states the patient’s have to use Accredo.

Declining Seizure Medication for a Child

We recently were approved for Medicaid to cover medical supplies for our 3 year old with infantile spasms. No facility has given us a problem using the Medicaid, except Accredo. We received confirmation that it would clear, and the night before shipment (after business hours), they send an automated message stating the shipment is delayed, which means we will not receive the medication in time. This is not pain meds, it's a medication that could keep my daughter from having permanent brain damage. Now we're in the emergency room because the backup med didn't work.

This is the worst Specialty Pharmacy I…

This is the worst Specialty Pharmacy I have ever used. The service is horrible,,whoever you talk to to refill your prescription apparently has nothing to do but keep you on the phone forever, then says we need a pa to fill this prescription, which they had for two weeks. Two weeks they have kept me on the phone,telling me it can be filled after I went through all of the questions,,then said oops we need a pa,, never would I refer this pharmacy to anyone.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

I would give this company zero stars if it allowed me. They have cost me multiple (at least 8) missed medications and put me at risk of hospitalization. Any time any information is changed, it causes at least a week delay. The only way I ever find out about any issues is because it won't let me schedule through the app like normal, so I call and they say they're working on it and/or have the shipment scheduled. Then I don't get shipping information as promised and I call only to find out nothing was fixed. I've received confirmation from the representative that the order went through and it'll ship as expected only to find out it didn't work at least 4 times. I call them again and they say the fix will be expedited but weeks later nothing changes and they cause me missed doses. I literally have to babysit them every single time. If you have ANY other options, do not use Accredo.

If you don't have to use this specialty…

If you don't have to use this specialty pharmacy to fill your meds... don't. If you are lucky enough to have your health and NOT be forced to manage a chronic condition... thank your lucky stars. I have dealt with a few different specialty pharmacies during the 10 years that I have been treated for RA. Accredo is by and far the WORST. Their patient advocate team is incompetent, unprofessional and RUDE. They are completely void of compassion. I have called 3-4 times a week since 10/3 simply trying to refill a medication that I have been on for nearly 10 years. I wait on hold for a minimum of 40 minutes each and every time that I call. After going back and forth between Accredo and my physician's office for about a month, they have finally strong armed me into switching meds to the biosimilar. However, EVEN AFTER ALL OF THAT- I called them today and they are STILL placing a 24-48 hour hold on the medication that THEY ARE FORCING ME TO TAKE IN THE FIRST PLACE. I have now missed a dose of my medication with no end in sight to this absolute fiasco. I have been hung up on, spoken to with disregard AND disrespect and treated less than human in every interaction that I have had with them. I WISH there were more that I could do to protect myself and others from this treatment.
