This company is absolutely terrible. If there’s an issue with copay assistance, the breakdown is awful. You only talk to people who work from home who have no idea what they are doing. When you ask for a supervisor, they transfer you to a patient advocate. Who then transfer you to someone else, who puts in tasks incorrectly. I’ve been working on the same issue for over 3 months now with NO resolution and I’ve spent upwards of 6 hours on the phone. Oh! And apparently you can even speak to a supervisor. They have a support group chat from home. Even after I’ve asked to speak to a supervisor a dozen times (in hopes they know how to do a task to request for an open window for claims to be reprocessed) , they won’t transfer you. Awful.

My name is Heather. I have been using Acredo for my RA shots for over eight months. The representative in the billing department was very rude hung up on me. Yelling would not let me explain how I’m paid in full as of September 24, 2025 as my copayment assistant program spoke to me about her name was Daniela. This lady is trying to say I owe thousands of dollars and won’t let me explain. Yes I got heated because she won’t allow me to explain then she hung up on me after I was on hold for an hour. Then this morning they called me. I was on hold for 40 minutes. This is aggravating when all you want, is your health better and your shots to be delivered and they will not deliver my shots .

Run….run fast from this pharmacy if you can. We have to unfortunately use this pharmacy for our son’s speciality medicine with our insurance. If you want your child to suffer or die use this pharmacy, they will make sure they delay as long as they can to fill 1 single prescription…let that sink in, they will take days and weeks to fill just 1 prescription, even after prior authorization is completed, multiple phone calls.
If you can, do whatever you can do in your power to 100% avoid this pharmacy. They could care less if patients suffer. You can call them on a daily basis and beg a plead with them to please have them fill a prescription to stop suffering and all they do is give you the run around.
Even after being reported to the board of pharmacy nothing happens.
Nice people- horrible company
Although the representatives are always pleasant, dealing with this company is always an exhausting, painful experience. I have been billed repeatedly for the past year $180 that was taken care of and retaken care of and taken care of again. It is impossible to simply refill an order- they constantly deny the refill and require you to jump through hoops over and over again. The online site is poorly done, doesn’t contain the information doctors or copay assistance programs need, the invoicing is incorrect and never matches the actually bill sent by mail.

Keep in mind, that the scam here begins from within. AI explains that Accredo is a specialty pharmacy, owned by Expresscripts and manages their specialty drugs, which are the most complicated and expensive drugs that help with major terminal and long term chronic illnesses. Expresscripts has built into its marketing pyramid, its own "in-house" specialty pharmacy. So if you use E.S. for your maintenance meds through your insurance, then they will of course lead you to use Accredo, for your other meds that are higher in price and that treat much more serious conditions. Who sets the parameters of these meds is beyond me. For one lousy "specialty" med, I just lost a month of my life I will never get back lol caught in their mouse trap. I am extremely disappointed with Accredo Specialty Pharmacy. They placed an unauthorized charge of $2,050 on my personal debit card—a card that was removed from their online portal over a year ago and never authorized for automatic payments. This happened after they failed to process my co-pay assistance card within the required 45-day deadline.
I called twice to request a credit to prevent an overdraft on my checking account. During the first call, I was told a supervisor would call me back within an hour—no one ever did. On the second call, I was flat-out told no supervisor would speak with me, and that I had to wait 24 hours due to their policy. I explained that my bank confirmed Accredo could issue a credit immediately, but they refused.
This situation has caused significant stress and financial hardship. I had to take time off work to deal with this, which disrupted my responsibilities. The anxiety of not having access to my funds—especially when I rely on that account for essential expenses—has been overwhelming. I’m now at risk of overdraft and facing additional fees.
I’ve worked in customer service for years, and this is not how you treat patients or customers. I’m requesting a full reversal of the charge, compensation for any overdraft fees, and a formal investigation into their billing practices.
Accredo needs to be held accountable.
How Does Accredo Stay in Business?
Somehow, my prescription was transferred to Accredo. This was my first time to use this company for my specialty prescription. I have had nothing but problems from an inept representative to improperly inputting information. I did have one representative who did a good job trying to help me, but she appears to be an anomaly. Now they are telling me my prescription needs doctor authorization even though I have a letter from my insurance company saying everything has been approved. I am hoping this will be the last time I have to use this company to take care of my prescription needs. Who knows how long this is going to take to get my medication.
Incompetent
Terribly inept and incompetent bunch of people. They lie and even when you escalate the mgmt team do nothing to help. Patients beware!!! They should not be managing speciality drugs… I have moved all my prescriptions to another pharmacy.
Left me exhausted in tears
The very worst experience with horrible customer service. Ever since switching to Accredo 4 months ago, I have had to spend at least 2 hours on the phone with them each month while trying to get my medication. The customer service reps have no idea what they are doing or talking about and it is a never ending exhausting experience of running around in circles. I am switching back to a previous medication because the stress of dealing with them every month is not worth it. I have been so frustrated the last couple of months that it has led me to tears.
Inefficient and incompetent
This is the most frustrating medical experience of my life. Every time my son's refills are due to ship, I get another call saying I need another authorization. I call the doctor, get them to send the authorization. Accredo agrees they received the authorization and says everything is in order. Then a week goes by and they call again and say they need a different authorization. It is just endless frustration.
Go somewhere else for your scrip!
They have been consistently bad. Employees don't know how to enter simple coding etc. to get your prescription filled. this can cause weeks or even months of delay, it is like a circus act. I finally got my prescription switched to a local company and got the specialized prescription in 2 days upon initial phone request - i had been waiting for accredo for over 6 weeks this time. seriously, go somewhere else where they know how to handle getting a prescription filled correctly.

Accredo Specialty Pharmacy currently carries a 1.2-star rating, and after spending over three hours on the phone today with this pharmacy, I can confidently say that even that rating is far too generous.
This is without a doubt the most unprofessional, uncooperative, and unreliable pharmacy I have ever encountered. I strongly encourage anyone considering doing business with them to reconsider. In today’s world, there are numerous credible and efficient specialty pharmacies available online to meet your needs — Accredo is not one of them.
I am deeply disappointed that our physician’s office continues to use Accredo as their pharmacy of choice. I will be addressing this directly with them, as this is absolutely no way to conduct business.
To make matters worse, my husband, who has been in pain for over a week, is unable to receive a simple injection of Monovisc for his knee. All required information — from the physician and the insurance company — has already been provided to Accredo. Yet, they refuse to ship for an additional five days, not because of lack of inventory, but because of what they call their “policy.”
This is unacceptable. Accredo is not a pharmacy you want to entrust with your health or your family’s care. I give them a zero-star rating.

I use Accredo Specialty Pharmacy for my Dupixent through my employer provided medical insurance through Aetna.
I have never had a complaint for their services and deliveries. I recently had to get a new prescription for my Dupixent, and my doctor's office used a company called Tandem to get it approved through my insurance company. Tandem had been working on getting the prescription approved and filled for 2 weeks and were, to me, just dragging their feet. I was in tears. I was so frustrated. I needed my medication for my severe eczema. Thankfully, I got hold of an Accredo agent named NYDIA who actually took the time to look into my case and realized that Tandem had not changed the physician's name on my prescription. I was so happy that my medicine was going to get here on time.
It is hard to find people who enjoy helping other people solve problems. NYDIA was patient and intelligent. She solved the problem that Tandem could only shrug their shoulders about. Even after my medication had been delivered to my house, I got a text message from Tandem that said that my insurance company had denied my prescription and that they would continue to work with my doctor's office to get my prescription approved. So it was quite obvious to me that the employees at Tandem had no earthly idea what they were doing and really didn't give a damn if I got my medicine or not. I'm just so happy that there are people in this world like NYDIA who are more than willing and capable of going the extra mile for their clients/customers.
I have no complaints whatsoever with the service that I have received from Accredo Specialty Pharmacy. NYDIA is a shining example! I have never had a problem with any of the other Accredo customer service Representatives, but in my darkest hours, Nydia gave me and my dilemma Top Priority and solved my problem. This is the worst pharmacy I've ever had to use they are very expensive, overpriced. Don't get me started on trying to talk to someone that takes an hour or more. If you are able to find a different specialty pharmacy, I strongly recommend any other pharmacy. If I could give 0 stars I would.

customer care agents are terrible. usually speak terrible English so communication on the issue is almost impossible. then they shuffle you to other agents and eventually hang up on you. they over bill so it's cheaper to get at the pharmacy monthly. Accredo sent EXPRESS SCRIPTS to contact me for a medication delivery. They called me, have NO record of me, and couldn’t tell me why they called. I figured out their relation to Accredo. It took a lot of time and frustration to speak with the 4 different representatives to get my medication scheduled for delivery. I asked the rep to write in my file not to allow express scripts (whoever they are) to contact me again. The rep wrote that I was “annoyed” by their call. It’s much more than being annoyed by incompetence; it’s not knowing if my prescription will be filled and delivered and by whom. The rep agreed to rewrite her note. Hopefully they will deliver the correct medication, timely to my physician.

AVOID Accredo. They are absolutely the worst. I get a different story or excuse ever time I call. Medication has not been delivered after over a month and a half that my doctor has sent the prescription. I have contacted them at least 15 times in this time period and have waited on hold to speak to various individuals who always have a different story or excuse.
It is very clear they do not care for ill patients who rely on these meds to function and they hire incompetent, lazy people who have no clue. Total crap company.
If my cancer comes back, Accredo is to blame.
I realize that most people use Accredo due to insurance and don't really have a choice, but I still want to contribute this feedback: it is absolutely disgraceful the way they mismanage people's medications. I will spend an hour on the phone with them trying to resolve an issue (that is due to their mistakes!) and then have to call and do it again the following week because there is zero record of any of the previous call. The actual people you talk to are nice enough, but nothing actually gets done. I have missed my medication multiple times thanks to them. I can't believe they're legally allowed to operate like this. I'm looking into changing my oncologist just to find an office that doesn't need to go through Accredo.

I've been dealing with both for the past four years and it got worse.
They lie, misrepresent, delay, you name it.
I spend 4-5 h/months, at a minimum to fill medication. The recording says you can fill it on line but on line they give you the phone # to call.
Now I will have to travel w/o medication because they lied to me I would get until the last moment.
