My first cataract operation went well…
I typed this review on behalf of my wife who had the eye operations as she cannot see clear enough to use the Computer.
She quoted to me: My first cataract operation went well and deserved a 5 star rating the second eye Surgery with different Surgeon and team felt not so caring at the time, although I felt no pain during the procedure. This seemed to to be borne out with my resulting appointment due to intense pain. This was diagnosed as due to swelling and bruising to the eye. I was sent a prescription through the post to reduce my eye pain an discomfort, this prescription cost me £53 before the Pharmacy would deliver it, which was not a cost I was expecting but I paid with the hope it would reduce my pain and discomfort. I had another appointment at Aces in Chelmsford due to continuing discomfort and the fact I could not see correctly out of the left eye. This appointment did not resolve any of my problems and cost me another £17 pound for different eye drops. I did not expect having eye surgery through the NHS would cost me nearly £70 particularly as I still cannot see out of my left eye it is just a blur and Aces appear to have washed their hands of my case and their parent company gave no solutions to my problem other than a possibly referral to NHS who has already funded them to carry out the procedure on their behalf. I feel there should be an investigation into how NHS give value for the tax payers funding,

Please dont use this clinic, my moms eyes was worst 0after cataract removal, leaving her with tunnel vision, needing further procedures to correct he surgeons mistake

Easy car parking great experience
Easy car parking. Staff are friendly and efficient. Pre assessment is thorough and a date for surgery if needed arranged there and then. On the day again staff attentive and give all information needed yet ready to answer anything you can think of. Actual surgery in my case was approximately 10 mins. No pain, sent home with drops and an eye shield for night time although l brought my own self adhesive ones from amazon which stop you accidentally rubbing your eye in ya sleep. An amazing experience and at l day since op things are much clearer.

My experience with Aces Nottingham.
My experience with Aces Nottingham is one of complete satisfaction. I was a nervous first time patient and found that my fear of the unknown was very soon eased. The staff are all excellent and the quality of care is first rate. The surgeon who carried out my cataract surgery was excellent and very professional with a caring attitude. I will soon be having further surgery and am confident that Aces Nottingham will again provide a good outcome.

Fantastic and amazing experience
I can't praise the staff at ACES Eye Clinic at Norfolk House, Milton Keynes highly enough. All the staff were truly amazing from start to finish. Very professional, efficient and friendly. My mother, Maria Grazia Palmiero had Laser cleaning (YAG Capsulotomy) on Thursday 9th July in both eyes.
Akram and Andri carried out the consultation/procedure. They were very knowledgeable, kind and caring. The attention to detail was excellent.
My mum was given very clear advice on how to look after her eyes after the procedure. Highly recommend. Thank you for everything you did for my mother.

Initial assessment was in Wilmslow
Initial assessment was in Wilmslow , a convenient place from my home. ,
The procedure was to be in Manchester. This is a very busy area but they do have a private car park.
Staff were all helpful and I felt safe.
I was initially told 8-30am by letter and text but later by phone told 8am. After initial tests I was lead to a waiting room and remained there for almost 2 hours. The preparations then took only a few minutes and it was found I could not remain still when drops (8 sets) were administered and the procedure stopped. I am please they took a safe decision with my eyes.

Cataract Surgery
I can't praise the staff at ACES Eye Clinic in Wisbech highly enough. I had my left eye surgery on 10th July and my right eye today 17th July. The nurses were amazing, professional, efficient,calm, reassuring and friendly. Mr Byard carried out both procedures. A lovely man, again calm and reassuring.
My first procedure was on the day after the air-conditioning had broken down, it was an extraordinarily hot day, there was a full compliment of staff working flat out before having to close early due to the temperature in the theatre reaching 40°, and still the staff were upbeat and cheerful.
Throughout the whole experience I felt calm and relaxed. Thank you to the lovely staff of this immaculate clinic.
