The course was 5 days long, with 12 candidates and a further 15 min one to one with Mel afterwards.
I have to say it was absolutely brilliant and worth every penny. This is a course I would not have been able to access, had it not been done via a zoom live link up. The extra expenditure of staying and travelling in london, and childminding costs, would have made it totally unfeasible for me. So the zoom course was a great option and I am so thankful to Mel and the Actors Studio for taking the leap of faith and making it happen. The live link actually intensified the experience for me, as opposed to thinking that the lack of physical contact, ie being in a room, would have meant something was missing. Quite the contrary. There was plenty of opportunity to speak and interact with the other candidates before, during and after the sessions.The technical aspect of it was managed so well by Mel, and the joy of being able to get up in my own home and devote my time to this course every day, was completely brilliant. No stress with travel that’s for sure. Making sure you have the right uninterrupted environment and good broadband is of course a pre-requisite, to fully get the most out of the course. Every day it was like I had Mel all to myself, even though i know she was addressing the whole group. It afforded greater intimacy, concentration, and focus. The idea of being self conscious, in a group of strangers, didn’t occur to me, because I was in my own, safe environment, with the live link to Mel and the group. You would think it would create barriers, but for me, it eradicated them. Thank you again for organising, and I highly recommend the course if you get the opportunity.

What an amazing experience this was for me! Thank you so much Actors Studio Team! Thank you Mel! I was new to acting when I completed this course in July 2020. This changed my life. It was my first ever acting training. I went from being a stranger in a lot of areas when it comes to acting to becoming confident, knowledgeable and completely transformed. An amazing transformation :) I have two great self-tapes from the course I am sending to casting directors which is something I couldn't do before because I knew I was lacking some of the important foundations to be able to perform as the best version of me. I gained them through the course. Mel is an absolutely amazing acting coach, this is her gift, she knows what she is doing and I would add that it is impossible you complete a course with her and you are not positively transformed or 10 times better after. Your gift as an actor will be unlocked. This is my experience. We also received a lot of very helpful notes from Mel. And in this industry information is key. Even when I was watching others perform during the course, it wasn't time wasted at all because I felt that the feedback Mel was giving them, that was valuable information (that could be relevant to me at some point or for another performance) to register and save in my mind. Everything has changed for me through this course and I am now going to greater heights.

After having completed a few courses in on-screen acting, I cannot recommend the workshop I did at the actors studio enough.
Just in a day alone, I learnt more than I had after a month elsewhere.
Tim who took the workshop was very knowledgeable and great to work with. I am now looking into other courses.

What an incredible course! The time spent is very active and contains a wealth of knowledge about the industry. Everyone who works with you really knows what they’re doing, and you really are getting the best of the best. Couldn’t recommend it enough!

This is such an amazing fast track course into acting . Weather u done movies and want to refresh your memory , Came out of drama school and want to see your self on screen or just starting out . The teachers are are absolutely incredible, very knowledgeable and wise . Great environment to to grow as an Actor . Also you get amazing showreels and help through out your acting path . Strongly recommend !!!

I would never had expected so much and such a high quality! I will never forget the people and the place! Everyone who look forward to do cinema please go there!!!

Excellent workshop with Jon and Jay east in the actors studio not only was the workshop insightful the actors studio staff and facilities were cool.

This is the second time I have supported one of my Performing Arts Students at the wonderful Actors Studio.
Set in the epic surroundings of Pinewood Studios and easily accessible via a free and friendly shuttlebus service from West RuislipTrain Station. This is a warm and wonderful environment for budding Screen Actors to a) Gain some valuable experience and hands on knowledge b) Receive a filmed professional looking and edited scene for their showreel at the same time!
The professional Tutors make everyone feel at home - and encourage a friendly group dynamic in which everyone supports each other to do their very best.
I will certainly be bringing future students back to the Actors Studio and I would encourage anyone who wants a taste of what it's like to act on screen to attend this reasonably priced and brilliantly run workshop!

Great teaching from Mel! I would have liked to practise more on camera and learn a few more tricks. Time could have been managed better, for example I didn’t find the scenes with a frase each useful for the learning. Overall though Mel was tremendous, she really took the time to decipher what she needed to say to you to improve your work.

id like to say amazing it was my first day ever to take a class after 2 years thinking about it and Nathan Caselton at actors studio has a wealth of knowledge and is such an entrepreneurial guy himself and very creative and helpful hopefully see you soon!

A fantastic experience. Professional and friendly, learning about practical industry knowledge in a fun environment. Our director Nathan was great. Highly recommended.

Working with Actors Studio for my showreel package, was a great experience. Everyone was so friendly and helpful; from Taz the Director, the supporting actors to the rest of the crew. They made the day run as smoothly as possible and were very professional throughout. Finally, Helen was a great support from start to finish and explained all aspects of the showreel package, clearly and professionally. It was a joy to spend my day at Pinewood and work with such a great team. I hope to work with them all again in the near future!

I’ve done a few courses now at The Actors Studio (one day Screen Acting with Tim Kent, 5 Day Screen with showreel also with Tim Kent and Expanding the Emotional Range of the Actor - Jon East) and the quality of the courses is top notch! The tutors are encouraging and REALLY know their stuff, the film teams and behind the scenes team are very professional and all fantastic to work with. It’s a joy to work with them and thanks to my showreel, I’ve landed a great job too in a series!
