My experience with ADHD Direct has been fantastic. From the moment I booked my evaluation to receiving my diagnosis and eventually starting medication, I’ve felt attentive, caring, and well-informed. At 39, I’ve always been told by doctors that I had chronic anxiety and depression episodes. They never offered alternatives that suited my needs or suggested further investigation. I took the initiative to get a further diagnosis because I knew something wasn’t right and finally got the answers I’d been waiting for. ADHD Direct has provided me with a clear treatment plan and explained everything I can do and all possible medications. I’ve been on ADHD medication for about a week, and it has been life-changing so far. I hope it continues to be so, but I’m also reassured by their support for the coming months.

Took a booking on Monday. Promptly changed my booking without asking me to a time I could not make, via email. As soon as I found out, told them to wit they reverted to my orginal time! which 48 hrs after them cancelling was no longer anvialable as I was back in work. Was then met by the - all enquiries will be replied to within 48 hours and receptionist who claimed they have no idea what’s going on about anything I can only relay messages with a 48 hour turnaround.
I suspect, if you have a problem with medication, this will also be the case 48 hour turnaround. For folk with ADHD who would use their service be warned they will test you and it will be a stressful experience.
The process from start to finish re assessment was really quick. The clinician I felt was very professional and knowledgeable. I was put at ease and I felt the assessment was thorough. I’d also different aspects and next steps explained to me. The discussion around medication was good and I was given time to ask questions and given rationales I could understand. I also want to mention the reception staff who dealt quickly and sensitively about a query I had. Thank you
Although I cannot comment on ongoing communication/prescriptions or care yet, I just had to shout out about Val who I just had my transfer of care appointment with.
Val is so knowledgable and understanding, she is the first person since diagnosis to say to me ‘this is not your fault’ and that statement alone had me in tears, and not in a bad way. She fully understands the adhd brain and how this affects people. She recommended coping strategies in a non ‘condescending’ way and talked through every step of what my titration journey would look like, including letting me voice any preferences in terms of medication, whilst ensuring she gave clear information about each option and what she would recommend. She made next steps clear and took away anxiety I had about ‘what happens next’ I’m so glad I decided to explore privately after being constantly fobbed off elsewhere after my diagnosis and being stuck in never ending waiting lists. Thank you
I completed a Transfer of Care with ADHD Direct after being privately diagnosed elsewhere, as the titration waiting list with my original provider was anywhere from 20–36 weeks (or even longer).
I decided to start titration with ADHD Direct and honestly couldn’t be happier with how smooth and fast the whole process has been. I paid for my appointment on 18 February and had the appointment on 24 February. Shortly after, I received both the consent form and medication request form. I chose to have my prescription sent to their partnered private pharmacy, and by the very next day (25/02) I had already received the payment link. My medication is due to be dispatched and received by the end of the week.
The entire experience has been incredibly straightforward, efficient, and reassuring. For anyone feeling anxious or overwhelmed by the long and gruelling wait times with other providers, I genuinely couldn’t recommend ADHD Direct enough.
We got a recommendation to get our son (17 at the time) specifically assessed by Gordon Brown.
When we went on the website - there were no appointments left with Gordon Brown - not even a year ahead.
The way I tick - I left it until beginning of this year when our son asked me to help him get an assessment. I was pleased to see that Gordon Brown offered appointments again and we booked an appointment.
All the way through we feel well informed and prepared. Several times I rang for reassurance and clarification and had comments which all were answered friendly and helpful.
The assessment was held in a way that our son got a lot out of it itself besides the confirmation for an ADHD diagnose.
The report (received few days after the diagnosis) is exceptionally detailed and looks at all aspects, a great support also for school and support worker who support us with our son.
We could not have asked for more and look forward to working together with ADHD direct on our sons path to manage his ADHD together.
The administrative team are remarkably helpful and made everything feel very personally tailored, even though it is commonplace to them I'm sure. The expertise of the clinician was evident but never overplayed, and the assessment and treatment recommendation carefully tailored to multimorbidity. I was given time and space, and felt listened to and understood.
About a year ago, I realised that many of the difficulties I have struggled with throughout my life could be explained by ADHD. After spending almost a year thinking about it, going back and forth, and finding it extremely hard to make a decision, I finally decided to go ahead with an assessment.
There is a huge number of providers offering ADHD assessments, which made the decision even harder. After a lot of consideration, I chose ADHD Direct, and I can honestly say that I am incredibly satisfied with my experience.
From the moment I booked, I never once felt unsure about what was happening or what the next step would be. The communication was excellent throughout, and I felt very well informed and well prepared for the assessment, even though my nerves were understandably all over the place.
The assessment itself was a very positive experience. I chose the clinician intuitively, and I could not have been happier with that decision. The doctor was absolutely wonderful: kind, empathetic, and incredibly understanding. Even though I struggled a lot with my emotions during the assessment, she made sure that I felt comfortable and supported the entire time, which is something I genuinely could not have imagined beforehand.
Immediately after the assessment, we discussed the possible next steps and agreed to try medication. Just one day after my assessment, the medication process was initiated. Three days later, I received my prescription and was able to collect my medication. Four days after the assessment, I took my first tablet, and I also received my full report, which was sent directly to my GP at the same time.
Over the past few days, I have received several follow-up emails explaining everything clearly and outlining what happens next. Even the emails are designed in a way that is easy to understand and easy to follow, which is incredibly important, as people with ADHD can struggle to read and process long or complicated messages.
I am genuinely very happy and extremely satisfied that I chose ADHD Direct. The service was recommended repeatedly in various Facebook groups, and I am very glad that I listened. I would wholeheartedly recommend ADHD Direct to anyone considering an ADHD assessment.
I had booked an online assessment for adhd for 28th December 2025 and all I can say it was clear from start to finish what was going to happen. By end of my virtual assessment I was giving a diagnosis for combined Adhd and a week later received my medication and 1 day after receiving the medication I received an in depth assessment diagnosis report which was also sent to my doctor.
1st teen now a year post ADHD diagnosis, still well supported with follow-ups. Process was efficient, well communicated and tolerant of his adhd-style of sporadic interaction! Teen daughter has undergone assessment in the last month. Female nurse immediately clicked with daughter, conversation was freeflowing, didn’t linger on the irrelevant and dug into areas that needed clarification. It was a positive experience. She felt heard.
My assessment was genuinely exceptional. While the assessment itself was thorough and professional, the real difference was the understanding and encouragement shown during the follow-up. It’s obvious this is a service that truly cares about long-term patient outcomes, not just delivering a diagnosis. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend ADHD Direct.
I cannot recommend this company enough. They made everything easy for me to get my diagnosis and medication sorted. Amazing people who go above and beyond !!!!
Efficient service. Made to feel at complete ease during my Consultation.
Please think twice before using ADHD Direct. My experience was not only disappointing but genuinely distressing. For a service that claims to support people with ADHD, I felt completely unsupported, overwhelmed, and let down.
They charge £400 for a “transfer of care” essentially a one-hour appointment to glance over your previous diagnosis and after that, you’re expected to weigh yourself and record your own blood pressure before they’ll even approve medication. Follow-ups start from £45, often lasting only a few minutes online or over the phone.
You’re left to manage your own reviews, paperwork, and payments with little or no guidance. Once medicated, there’s no direct access to a clinician only an email system where you wait days for a generic, copy-and-paste response. There’s no continuity, no titration management, and no sense of genuine care.
Over five months and nearly £2,000 later including medication, I gave up. Appointments were cancelled or rescheduled at the last minute, clinicians changed without warning, and there were no in-person appointments or proper follow-ups. For someone trying to manage ADHD a condition that already makes organisation and consistency so hard it was completely draining and demoralising.
I can honestly say the whole process left me anxious, frustrated, and feeling like a burden instead of a patient. For a company specialising in ADHD, this lack of compassion and structure is unacceptable. They have a duty of care to provide support, not to profit from people at their most vulnerable.
I’m sharing this so others know what to expect before spending their hard-earned money. ADHD Direct feels like a business first and a healthcare provider second and that’s heartbreaking when you go to them desperate for help.
We have had a brilliant experience from start to finish with ADHD Direct. The knowledge and expertise of the team have been great in a stressful situation. We have received professional and competent interventions, assistance and advice from Assessment to Diagnosis to the Prescription team. The review session was informative and thoughtful and put my mind at ease when discussing medicating my Daughter for ADHD. The costs are significantly more affordable and as GP doesn't offer Shared Care, this is a huge factor for ongoing costs. We would highly recommend this organisation.
I think there are too many replies to messages from different people. Perhaps it might be possible to have dedicated staff to deal with a certain amount of allocated clients so that they are able to know and understand individuals needs in stead of passing on to different staff members who are replying to different messages which don’t answer the specific questions needed. And to note that it’s relating to appointment date and time.
Clinicians were lovely and professional
For the time I have been dealing with them, the advertised phone number (on Google) is inactive. Then, try finding another number on their website....not at all easy, no simple 'contact us'. They don't return answer-phone messages (or take 2-3 days if they do). My assessment is they don't employ enough administrative staff.
The assessment process was poor. I had to stop the assessor and ask their name and introduce my son....not how to handle a teenager.
They have not fulfilled the timescales they advised for the ADHD report to be produced.
So far so good. I’m still awaiting a copy of my assessment which will allow me to take the next step.
The form filling is quite difficult as it is very thorough however the assessment process was straightforward and the clinician was very understanding and supportive.
Great communication. Dr was just lovely and spoke to me with compassion and understanding. The whole process was easy.
