Diverse diagnostics

Just so relieved to have someone listen to how I felt and take my concerns about a potential diagnosis seriously. They ensure they are with you each step of the process so you always feel supported

All staff seemed well informed and…

All staff seemed well informed and answered all questions I had. Staff were professional throughout the entire experience. Only downside to this was the cost. As it was so expensive I unfortunately felt I couldn’t compete the entire process. But if not for the cost I would have completed all assessments as I was happy with how everything ran and with everything I was being told.

Diverse Diagnostics-I am glad these are the people I have chosen to help me.

The company is professional, the staff are personable and empathetic. I had one enquiry that needed something corrected, they took ownership and immediately fixed it, along with acknowledgement of the issue and how they would prevent a repeat. Things will often go wrong in any business, I like to see how a business handles that. Diverse Diagnostics have shown themselves more than capable on both sides.

I had a really positive experience with…

I had a really positive experience with Diverse Diagnostics while going through my ADHD assessment and support process. The team were very understanding, supportive, and professional throughout. They took the time to clearly explain each step of the process and made sure I knew what to expect next, which made everything feel much less overwhelming.

I also really appreciated how they signposted other places and resources for additional support. The staff were patient, approachable, and genuinely helpful. I’m very grateful for the support they provided and would definitely recommend their service to anyone seeking help with ADHD.

on an individual basis

on an individual basis, everyone i’ve had the pleasure of speaking to has been really kind and lovely. my nurse prescriber/consultant is so lovely and i’ve not experienced any anxiety around reviews. my initial diagnosis process was a little bumpy as i had to keep pushing my date forward because the service is genuinely just too expensive for what it is but unfortunately thats just life. on my first appointment the doctor assessing me ended up being unavailable, which meant it was pushed forward again. prescribing process, again very expensive but laura is a geg so i hope she’s gets to take the bag home with her x also, switched to e-prescription thinking it would be quicker, however it currently seems to be otherwise but this is a problem with a different provider so i don’t particularly believe that reflects on diverse diagnostics because its a new service. all in all, if you can afford it i highly recommend, but there are likely cheaper alternatives if you’re struggling in that department:)

Helpful and professional

All appointments were made in plenty of time, and well supported (I had IT issues and the company called straight away to help me).
We had issues with a questionnaire from school that led us needing to change our second appointment, which was done quickly.
All staff have been supremely helpful and professional throughout the whole process, I would thoroughly recommend Diverse Diognostics to anyone thinking about using their service.

Our concerns were lifted………..

Despite looking for additional information regarding our son’s treatment over a Bank Holiday weekend we received quick, friendly responses. At a difficult time in our family life help we had left us feeling that he was in very “good hands”

Consistently poor experience.

Consistently poor experience.

The only benefit of DD is the fact you can get seen much faster than you would via the NHS.

However, every time you get in touch with them there will be a different person replying - with no context on what your case has been and therefore they will be exceedingly unhelpful in progressing things efficiently.

During my assessment, I had to correct three different people on three different occasions that the observations were not completed by a parent, due to them having passed away... You would think maybe after the first time they'd take note. However, even in my final diagnosis document I had to ask for a correction of this point... To say it was disappointing is putting it very politely.

Then you're stuck with them for medication - while they say they could do shared care with the NHS the reality is that no NHS practice will agree to this. (So make sure get on the NHS waiting list to get diagnosed through them, even if you also look at private assessments.)

The medication reviews are extortionate. They're supposed to be 30 min but more often than not they chuck you out after 10-15 min. After the first month I had my dose increased despite the fact the initial dose seemed sufficient. After repeated questions on "how would I know this is already the right dose" I was just told to look at the side effects, if I experience a lot of them, it's probably too much. So I went up in strength, not knowing better, and had a terrible experience.

If you email them asking anything you will not have a single person seeing that question to conclusion. Each email will have someone new reply to you, even in the same thread, seemingly without any context - I ran out of medication on several occasions due to delays because of this.

TLDR; they will get you in for an assessment quickly and you will be able to access medication through them. Everything else around it will be poorly organised and frustrating. Maybe look at other services.

No option for home delivery + delays

Overall, I had a positive clinical experience with Diverse Diagnostics - the team are friendly, communication is good, and emails are always responded to promptly.

However, I don’t feel the overall service matches the level of pricing.

The biggest issue for me was the delay and mixed messaging around the report. I received my report around a week later than initially advised (although I fully appreciate the clinician was unwell). I was also initially told (via email in writing) the report would be sent to both myself and my GP at the same time. However, when I chased this, I was then advised a GP summary was required before it could be sent - which I only obtained because it was needed for the medication assessment.

This inconsistency was frustrating and felt a bit sneaky and not as transparent as I would have expected.

The other major issue is the prescription process. The e-prescription / home delivery service is currently not available (only advised this yesterday on the medication initialisation call), meaning I’m having to deal with paper prescriptions and pharmacies personally, which adds completely unnecessary stress and hassle.

Given the overall cost, I expected a much more streamlined experience from start to finish.

The clinical side has been good and I’m happy to now be starting treatment, but being honest I would have 100% went elsewhere had I known what I know now.

Had the e-prescription (which I was sold on when I paid the initial £975) been available yesterday, I’d happily continue this service for life. Due to this not being available, I have an appointment to move onto NHS treatment early April.

I’ve paid approx £1300 so far and will be travelling to (and as I know my pharmacy well) / fighting to get my prescription in the coming days.

Hidden costs

While my son ultimately received an ADHD diagnosis, my overall experience with Diverse Diagnostics was disappointing. There was a lack of transparency around additional costs, which were not clearly explained during the initial consultation and only appeared in written documents. Communication was overwhelming at times, with multiple emails sent at once, making important information difficult to process. There were also inconsistencies in the information provided, including conflicting details about appointment durations and confusion between adult and child assessment pathways. I was also asked to pay for a second questionnaire due to unclear instructions, which felt unfair. Administrative issues further impacted the experience, including delays in communication, no clear support for urgent queries, and errors in the final report that required multiple corrections. Additionally, important information, such as a completed questionnaire, was not passed to the clinician in time. Although feedback was acknowledged, the response focused on internal reviews rather than resolving my concerns directly. Given the high cost, I expected a more professional, transparent, and reliable service.

Great in depth assessment

Finally got to the bottom of why my life has been unbearable for far too long.

The team are very thorough, listen to you clearly and give you clarity and reasoning for why you are the way you are.

I was diagnosed with both types of ADHD which explains everything and why it’s gradually got worse with age to the point I had to leave a good career with a massive burnout.

Highly recommend!
