What a Great place
This was our second Visit for Amber with ADK9. We also booked in our new pup Bert. Danny and his team are fantastic. Our dogs stayed for 16 nights and they had a great time. Lots of updates and a real difference to both of them on their return. We also had a great training session and are returning for another one soon.
I can honestly say if you are looking for a trainer to assist you with a dog , Danny is the man for the job. He is highly committed, enthusiastic , positive and very helpful. Amber was happy to be there. Both dogs have improved drastically since staying with Danny.
Thank you

My spaniel went in for boarding and the communication I received whilst away was great.
I was concerned as a first time in kennels but she obviously very happy in her surroundings when I picked her up.
She seems a little calmer in herself since getting home and isn’t manicky barking at people walking past the house like she used to. Hence a calmer environment for all. Thank you.
Will be back.

I highly recommend this place
I highly recommend this place (chesterfield location), my dog Gia who is a Rottweiler and can be quite a stubborn girl had issues on lead, socialising with other dogs and getting easy distracted along with basic manners.
She had a two week training course which focused on these points by a lovely lad named Danny, he has made such a difference in the space of two weeks another point which helps massively so the hard work isn’t unraveled as soon as you leave the place is he showed us at the time of collection the points and commands we need to use to be able to keep Gia on the right track and progress even further.
When we arrived home we took her out for a walk and I can honestly say it was so nice to be able to walk her without being worried who’s around or what dogs are around or even her taking me on a walk rather than the other way!
The staff definitely make you feel very welcome and definitely take a lot of care of your dogs, we highly recommend this place and definitely will be returning whether it’s for top up training or for boarding.
Can not thank them enough:)

I cannot give enough praise and thank…
I cannot give enough praise and thank you's to ADK9 for supporting me with my foster dog Kaleb. Kaleb has a very sad and cruel past and through no fault of his own was a very anxious and reactive boy with a reputation for being 'unmanageable'. As a result the charity that rescued him had diffculty placing him in a home which is why I offered to foster him and give him a chance. I am familiar handling dogs and thought I could manage him but in truth he was on another level!
At first he couldn't accept a collar or allow anyone clip a lead to him for his walks. As a result he had a harness on him that was never removed. This was so uncomfortable for him but it was the only safe option at the time. One day he wriggled out of it and that was the end of that plan. It was quite an ordeal to fool him with treats to get a slip lead over his head! He was reactive with dogs so walking was really complex so as to avoid all possible confrontations. Visits to the vets were treacherous and he needed lots of sedation prior to any examination. But he was young and so the unthinkable had to be put to one side so as to give him a chance.
Anyway ... that is all in the past. I approached ADK9 following a recommendation. At first he was assessed and just stayed over for boarding to allow him get used to the surroundings with no pressure added. Then he went to stay for a 3 weeks training. I got updates and videos of him during that stay but was encouraged not to visit him so as not to unsettle him and his new routine.
Honestly, I was so surprised when I went to pick him up. On arrival to collect him he was a happy settled boy and had clearly fallen totally in love with Danny his trainer. He was at ease on his lead and was walking at heal!! It was a miracle. He was even able to pass other dogs without lunging. The next step was training ME on how to follow the new routine. We also returned for top up sessions at the local park etc.
That was 2 1/2 years ago and he has continued to go from strength to strength. He is a joy to have at home now and he is with me to stay. He accepts his collar and lead and follows instructions and has learned to Trust. He is now a regular boarder at ADK9 if I need to go away anywhere. With his history he can't go to just any boarding kennels. Plus I know he is loved and looked after. He gets his medication (arthritis) on time and I get reasuring updates during his stay. His recent visit to the vets was a pleasure. He just tootled in and had a surpise jab for his vaccinatons and was out of there within 2 mins!!
Thank you again guys...your work saves lives! You are all fabulous but the biggest shout out goes to Danny who is God to Kaleb! :-)

Sprocker troubles on the mend
We had trouble with our sprocker Ozzy recourse guarding and some aggression. Danny has been coming and set a new routine and some new boundaries we have noticed massive improvements in his temperament and overall wellbeing as a dog, We are now meeting ozzys needs and our perspective of how he should be treated as a dog has flipped! Hes much happier and we are much happier doing the training weve been set with him, Very impressed with the help we are getting and are looking forward to continuing this training with Danny to further help ozzy. Would highly recommend ADK9!

Sirius - Changed dog
We booked our very nervous German Shephard, Sirius, in for the 2 week residential training for his reactivity. We were very apprehensive on leaving him in kennels and with strangers, but Danny reassured us from the get go and kept us updated with emails, an image and a video to show us his progression throughout his stay and that he was ok and settled. The outcome of this training has been fantastic. We were unsure whether this would be beneficial but we have seen a huge change in Siri's temperament and he seems much more relaxed in the presence of other dogs. There is certainly a way to go but with the guidance of Danny, we are confident he will continue to show this new, calm behaviour. We cannot thank ADK9 enough and would certainly recommend them. We are planning to use follow up training sessions and also boarding next year. Thank you very much. Jodie and Ronny.
I am delighted by ADK9
I am delighted by ADK9, my two dogs stayed 2 weeks, Molly for boarding and Griff for training. I have been very impressed with the set up at ADK9, the competence and experience of the staff and their dedication and love of their work is evident. We asked the team to help with socialising Griff as he became anxious around other dogs and distractions. Although it is early days, I can already see a massive improvement since bringing him home, and walking him is no longer a stressful experience!
Thank you Danny and Jess for your wonderful care, and for returning two happy and very clean dogs!
Couldn't recommend enough!
We sent our dog Denzel there for 2 weeks, prior to his visit he was extremely nervous and reactive to everything including bikes, people, dogs, horses, tractors and many more. Since Denzel has returned he is like a new dog, he very rarely barks or reacts now when on walks and if he does it is efficiently rectified.
We can't thank and recommend Danny and the guys at ADK9 enough, walks with Denzel are much more enjoyable. On collection they also spend a couple of hours discussing what Denzel had learn and how we can implement that into everyday life. We could also tell that Danny built a great relationship with Denzel and they want to get the best out of him.

Millie the chocolate lab
We collected Millie just under a week ago after her 2 weeks stay and we are honestly overwhelmed at the change in her.
When I we went to collect Millie I got to watch from a distance for a few minutes and I could have cried at the instant change I could see in her.
Millie was hard work constantly wanting attention, had very little understanding of boundaries, was crazy in the house never settling but the worst part was walking her. She’d pull all the time, be forever running off and lunging at other dogs/animals. I struggled to walk her alone and in all honesty we’d had talks if we could carry on like this as she was causing a lot of stress and pain when pulling but also as a rescue dog Millie had always struggled with being anxious around new dogs and people.
Katie took care of Millie in the two weeks and kept me up to date which was lovely and she has changed Millie for the better. I can finally walk her alone, I feel less anxious and so does Millie. She listens and is finally calm in the house. Katie really has done an amazing job and I can’t thank her enough it seems like a few simple commands and a new lead seem to have worked but I’m sure there was so much more to the two weeks than that.
My first thought when I saw the price was ‘wow do I really want to spend that on a dog who’s been to training before and it’s not worked?’ I’d pay it all over again… it’s worth every penny to be able to finally enjoy my dog.
We have already booked Millie back in for next year while we are away for a mix of boarding and top up training, we will continue this for our future holidays.

Residential training at ADK9
We have had such a brilliant experience with ADK9 and will now be using them for all our training and kennel needs!
Our 2yr old Border Collie was struggling with his manners and aggresstion towards strangers and dogs. From the minute we got in touch with the team at ADK9, they put us at ease and were so helpful explaining all of the information. We were able to get booked in nice and quickly and had a meet and greet with the team beforehand. Dozer was booked in for two weeks residential training; we received regular updates from his trainer, Danny, and lots of info on how he was getting on and what they had been working on. He was so loved and well looked after by the team.
We as owners have also learnt so much and spent time with Danny training us! We can see such an improvement in Dozer's behaviour and are excited to keep going back for more top up training to continue his progress. The support we've had after we brought Dozer home has also been brilliant, Danny sent over all of the information needed for us to apply the training at home.
We can't thank the team enough, you've all been amazing and really helped our family! Dozer will be back!!

A truly fantastic service!
We recently took our 2 year old doberman, Ava, to ADK9 for 2 weeks training, and I couldn't recommend it more!
Ava was a little anxious and could be reactive in certain situations, she was also sometimes hard to control on the lead. Our trainer Danny focused on all these things during her training and has worked absolute wonders! With some simple commands and a solid foundation built by Danny, we now have much more control of Ava. She is far more comfortable when out and about and we are more confident taking her for walks.
Danny put us at total ease when dropping Ava off, sent regular updates about her progress and looked after her so well. We cannot thank him enough!
Our dog walks are now much more enjoyable and Ava is a truly happy and content dog.

Great experience
We contacted ADK9 regarding our 8 month old German Shepherd. She was a good girl but was reactive to other dogs and her recall had gone down hill.
Katie was her 1to1 trainer, she was a pleasure to work with she put us and the dog at ease. We had not left our pup for more than a week previously so we had apprehensions.
We collected her yesterday after her 2 week session. She was happy excited but still able to focus when Katies asked her to do something.
Isla has been working on manners, focus on Katie, heel recall and reactivity.
We have seen an improvement without a doubt.
As a puppy she will continue to develop and learn but with the support of Katie I sure we will continue to make progress.
Thank you Katie for all your hard work
The Meakin Family and Isla x

Our (3 year old) Labrador was reactive
Our (3 year old) Labrador was reactive, anxious with his socialisation and needed foundations for basic manners, constant pulling on the lead and sniffing around on walks…. It was a drain to walk him ….constantly pulling ( he’s a big dog )After two weeks of boarding school I can say you’ve absolutely transformed our family dog, not only given us confidence as owners but offered him confidence and reassurances. Pulling on lead …. What pulling!!! Immaculately walks to heel on the lead and follows commands trained during his stay … absolutely recommend this to anyone struggling!

XENA…
My 16 month American bully Xena was a nightmare to walk on the lead, constantly pulling and reactive to any distractions.
A friend told me about ADK9 chesterfield, I was apprehensive about sending her to a kennel however I contacted them and was able to go and speak with them in person which squashed any concerns I had regarding sending her.
Whilst Xena was in their care I was sent updates every few days from Danny her trainer and I could see how well she was being looked after.
When me and my husband went to collect her 2 weeks later I couldn’t believe the difference, no more pulling on the lead and she had been taught new commands to help with distractions, Danny spent some time with us and Xena and showed us what she had learned, answered any questions that we had and made sure we were confident before leaving.
Since we returned home we have been keeping up with all Danny’s advice and any time we have been questioning ourselves we have been able to contact him for further advice which has been great and Xena has been doing so well, it’s such a better less stressful experience when walking her now.
Just want to say a Big Thankyou to Danny and all the team at ADK9 we will be forever grateful.

Loopy Louie our three year old rescue bull…
Louie our three year old rescue bull lurcher was over zealous with other dogs and humans. He also pulled on the lead and was very reactive towards cats and occasionally other dogs. Kirsty trained him for two weeks; he has been home for a week and his behaviour has much improved much more engaged and less reactive. I was worried he had lost some of his character but that is slowly coming back in a calm way. Yet to let him off lead and test his recall but that is a work in progress. Can't thank her enough.

Amazing staff and amazing results 10/10
I came to adk9 with a 9 month old German shepherd that was reactive on the lead and I was struggling to walk him and in all honesty dreaded taking him for walks and would purposely choose places I knew there wouldn’t be people or other dogs. We decided a few 1-2-1 would be in both of our best interests and I can’t emphasise how much of a difference I have seen already! Within the first 10 minutes of our first 1-2-1 my dog was walking to heel with Danny which is something I’ve never witnessed before, Danny gave me clear directions and happily answered any questions I had. Kirsty then bought out a residential dog so we could work on my dogs reactivity and I was amazed at how easily Danny managed to regain my dogs attention and teach me exactly how to do the same.
Both Danny and Kirsty made me feel completely at ease and were so informative and helpful and I came out of my first 1-2-1 feeling so much more confident in my abilities to walk him. Fast forward a week and I have been implementing all the steps and corrections Danny had previously shown me and I feel like I am walking a completely different dog. I had my second training session today and both Danny and Kirsty were impressed by the work we had both put in over the past week and worked some more on his heel work around other dogs and yet again I have come away feeling more confident. I couldn’t praise these people more if I tried, amazing establishment, amazing staff and amazing results. Thank you adk9
