We are delighted with the training…
We are delighted with the training provided by ADK9. Our 4 year old Spanish Waterdog has just returned from 18 days of training aimed at helping his aggression/fear of other dogs. He has been home for 4 days and so far his behaviour has improved massively. We were a little apprehensive about leaving Dante with strangers but his instructor Danny, emailed us with updates, photos and videos every 2 days which was very reassuring. Dante seemed happy, healthy and well cared for when we picked him up I have just been on a 2 hour walk with him and he has either ignored or just briefly reacted to other dogs. This is in stark contrast to the episodes before his training. We also needed training and are trying very hard to adhere to the instructions and explanations given to us before we brought Dante home. I would highly recommend ADK9 training and look forward to returni g with Dante and upskilling.

Excellent!
I just wanted to say a huge thank you to Jordan and all the team at ADK9 for looking after Fergal the past two weeks.
Fergal is an 8 month old Vizsla and I booked him in for when he was old enough several months prior as I knew despite all my training efforts it was unlikely I was going to get him walking perfectly on the lead without professional help. It was the best decision I could have made. It's only been a couple of days since I picked him back up but the change in him is absolutely remarkable. No more pulling on the lead, instead he walks calmly by my side and is so much more engaged.
His recall is always going to be a work in progress with him being so young, but the work is already showing and he responds happily when called rather than his previous "selective hearing".
This was his first stint at a kennels too, and I was worried he would be too young and he might hate being alone (as I've barely been out his sight for more than 4 hours). Pleased to say his first experience has been a very positive one, he hasn't come back with any of the bad habits you usually come to expect with kennels (no barking, no separation anxiety or forgetting his toilet training back home).
I couldn't recommend this place more highly, a couple of dog walkers I see regularly have already booked theirs in! Thank you for taking such good care of him.

Absolutely amazing place.
Absolutely amazing place.
Jordan worked hard and made a trusting relationship with our dachshund to train him.
Before training our dog was alpha and ruled our home, he was also not well socialised and was very difficult to walk.
Amazing to see to change in our dog he is now socialised and not reactive on walks, he is much happier in himself.
Jordan was very helpful to teach us the areas we were going wrong with our training and how to correct behaviours.
It is like I have brought a different dog home.
Cannot recommend them enough, very supportive throughout and excellent service.

I can’t thank you ADK9 enough
I can’t thank you ADK9 enough. I have rescued a dog named Winston. Winston, it’s an American bulldog cross. Danny changed Winston’s & our life.
My husband and I rescued him 3 years ago when he was 2 years old. When we had been visiting him he was a lovely, full of life dog unfortunately castration changed him to a fearful and very insecure dog 😢😢😢
Winston still behaved very well, knows his commands but become nearly impossible to go for walks with him. When he spotted another dog he became nervous, anxious & had leash aggression, a severe one.
Most of the time even refused to go out.
To help our baby we tried different things but nothing helps…then on another helpless evening I found ADK9 and decided to try. This was the best decision ever. This training was worth every single penny. We still have to work with him, work never stops, but now he learned how to pass other dogs and started ignoring them, even in the park!! He’s happy to go for walks and enjoy his life outside 🤩🤩🤩
If you need help and you think it’s no help out there try ADK9!!

Training a British bulldog
We took our British bulldog to ADK9 for a two week intensive training course. He has some people aggression but our little guy took to the trainer Jordan immediately. They gave us tools and tips to be able to manage unwanted behaviours including aggression towards certain people. Whilst they couldn’t work on the aggression at home concerns, they did work on the route cause of his anxieties especially whilst out and about walking. Our dog is now a lot calmer, more relaxed and inquisitive on walks. Before, he would lunge at anything passing by through fear, now he seems more chilled and seems to enjoy his walks more. He is all round more responsive to commands after his stay. The trainer was sensitive to the brachycephalic breed and adjusted the training accordingly and he was sensitive to the quirks of the breed, as bulldogs are known for their stubbornness and difficulty in training but we have seen some significant changes in our boy.

Highly recommend ADK9
We had our rescue dog Ollie stay at ADK9 for 2 weeks for some help with reactivity towards other dogs whilst on the lead and recall training. He did amazingly well and we are now managing to go walks with our neighbour and their dog and we are also meeting other dogs whilst on walks and not exploding into a barking and lunging episode. Chris and Alan were great with him and kept us updated throughout the whole stay sending us videos of his progress too.
I would highly recommend these guys as they have totally transformed our daily walks. We can now all enjoy going out walks and don’t feel the need to avoid going out at certain times to avoid other dogs.

We are delighted in the differences in our dog , he was so reactive to other dogs walking was extremely difficult sometimes impossible, I’m using the advice given to me and walks are a pleasure he will now just walk past another dog as if he’s not seen it or on command sit and then when told have a few seconds sniff and return to my side .Tom and Alfie

I couldn't recommend more!
Sending our rescue dog Riya to ADK9 due to increasing reactivity towards other dogs was by far the best decision we have made for her training.
Prior to this daily walks were a chore and neither her nor us enjoyed it.
She had two weeks intensive training at ADK9 with her trainer Jordan which we organised to fit with us going on holiday. During this time we got regular updates with pictures/videos and had time to practice and ask questions when we picked her up.
The change in Riya was remarkable and we have been continuously making progress with her since then. She now walks to heel beautifully, is learning to pass other dogs without a fuss and looks like she is enjoying walks a lot more. She has even had a play with dogs in the dog park! Of course there are still remaining issues but it's work in progress and we feel we are able to manage and work on difficult situations now thanks to Jordan's hard work at laying down a solid foundation of training.
We can't thank you enough, thanks to your training we and most importantly Riya are are a lot happier on our walks!

We brought our Springer Spaniel for…
We brought our Springer Spaniel for some lead training. We were very apprehensive leaving her as it was the first time we have ever done something like this. From the moment we go there Danny made us feel so relaxed and calm, to the point we felt safe and comfortable leaving our girl knowing she was in safe hands. Throughout the Stay Danny kept us posted with regular emails and photos. When it came to collecting her we were in awe (maybe even jealous) at the idyllic way Bregha looked up to Danny! This made us even more assured that we had made the right decision - in addition to her now being a happier dog who has learnt so much (despite her odd naughty moments). We have also learnt all of the tools we need to maintain and continue to develop her training. We cannot recommend enough and we will be using ADK9 in the future for boarding

Cannot thank ADK9 enough!
This review is in relation to our 9 month GSD Vincent, who we left at the Chesterfield branch with Danny.
We would like to start by saying how incredibly skilled and kind these trainers are not just towards the dogs but the owners as well!
When we dropped Vincent off everything was explained in full detail and any questions were answered without any problems. The branch looked incredibly clean and well maintained, we felt happy to leave our dog there for 10 days training.
We received full updates throughout his stay and even received pictures and videos of his progress which really helped as we were missing him so much and looked forward to these regular updates. (Vincent looked happy and healthy in all pictures and videos).
When we went to pick Vincent up we spent about 1 hour going through his progress and everything he had learnt (walking to heel, reactivity, recall) and we were both amazed just how much he had learnt in the space of 10 days! Our main concern was we own/ live at a pub so it was so important Vincent learnt to interact with people in a calmer manner and these guys have taught him just that which has made lives so much easier for us and Vincent as we don’t have to keep him locked away.
I can’t believe the difference in Vincent’s behaviour in just such a small space of time, he no longer feels the need to be on his guard and reacting to everything and everyone whenever he is in a busy place in fact most of the time he’ll just fall to sleep, or listen to the commands we’re asking of him as he has now learnt he isn’t the one in control. His separation anxiety (picked up from lockdown) is no longer an issue either!
There honestly isn’t a day that goes by where not so grateful for what these guys have done for us and our pup. Would definitely be using these guys services again in the future and would recommend to anyone needing any help with there dogs.
Thanks again ADK9!

Above and beyond the call of duty.
This was the first time we had left our dog in kennels and to be honest I think he preferred it there than with us. Danny, Jess & the team were fantastic and Reg had a great time. ADK9 went above and beyond and kept me regularly updated on what he was up to while we were enjoying our holiday. Highly recommend. Thank you.

Really amazing results
We have a 1 year old Newfoundland who didn't have the best start in life so, when we got him, was a bit of a handful to say the least. He was very energetic but didn't realise his size and had a few behaviour issues.
We sent him to ADK9 for 7 days with Jordan and blimey! We got a different dog back!
I am partial sighted and disabled so was amazed when I was able to walk our dog for the 1st time. He doesn't chew, bite, bark for no reason anymore, he walks to heel and actually understands the word No!
I would recommend this company to everyone, they are really good and their results are outstanding.

Border Collie came back a different dog
Our border collie was a handful walking so we decided to send her to ADK9. She honestly came back a different dog. Walking her now is not stressful and she listens when we speak. Still a work in progress regards other dogs but at least she's not constantly pulling towards them. Only thing I would say is I thought we would get more updates during her 2 week stay. But other than that we are very pleased and highly recommend definitely worth every penny.

Thank you Danny and the team!
I would highly recommend ADK9 for dog training. We took our 2 year old cocker spaniel Charlie and 1 year old German Shepherd Alfie and if I didn’t know them so well I would think we had come home with two new dogs.
Charlie was a nightmare to walk, he would pull on the lead and cry to get to other dogs and was pretty much interested in everything but us. When Danny brought him back out, the difference was unbelievable. He showed us all the commands he had learned and how to put them in place. Since coming back home Charlie has walked calmly by our side until he is told he can have a break. He of course tried to test the waters with us, but with a firm command he was back into place. It’s made walking by busy roads much safer and less stressful for everyone involved.
Alfie also pulled but he was reactive as well to other dogs, which we think was due to getting him in lockdown. He would get so worked up and be impossible to control sometimes. Danny brought Alfie out and again showed us all the commands. Since having him home he walked by our side just like Charlie. He did bark once or twice but nothing in comparison to before and as soon as the commands were given, he was right back in place.
They came back with a certificate from the team and plenty of praise. Both of our boys have come home happier, calmer and are enjoying their walk much more and so are we as owners.
Thank you to Danny and all of the team for training them and also taking care of them. We could tell they were happy, full of energy and they’d just had a bath and pamper on pick up! You can easily tell that these guys love dogs and have their best interest before anything else.
We wouldn’t hesitate to leave the boys at ADK9 again.

Couldn’t be happier
Just collected our loveable rogue Marley following a 10 day stay where we had Danny as our trainer.
If you are considering using ADK9 I would highly recommend it, Marley actually cried when Danny left us in the car park momentarily before leaving to come home, which he would only ever do with us as he isn’t a huge people person really so the bond he created there speaks volumes.
What Danny has achieved with Marley in 10 days is nothing short of remarkable! Along with other things Marley pulled terribly on his lead and lunged at other dogs in excitement making walking stressful and embarrassing to say the least.
As well as getting regular updates Danny spent a lot of time with me on collection to go over his training. I was not only amazed at Marley’s focus to Danny’s commands but with his guidance I was able to replicate the control and focus he had achieved myself quickly and now know what to do going forward. Actually super excited to walk him this evening!

Overreactive French Bulldog
For weeks building up to taking Bronny to ADK9 we were extremely anxious having not left our boy overnight with anyone but family before but after 30 seconds of meeting the team we were instantly put at ease. Kate was extremely helpful when we arrived and when we were introduced to Bronnys trainer Jordan we were even more sure we had might the right decision. Immediately he was concerned with what the issues were and how they could correct them. We were sent videos throughout his stay with updates of how his training was going and you could see how caring and loving Jordan was with Bronny. When picking Bronny up we got to see his new skills on show and Jordan helped us to understand what corrections he had been taught and how to put into practice. Very very impressed and booked both of our dogs in for boarding when we next go away. Fantastic team at ADK9

Dog training our labradoodle!.
We took our labradoodle ‘Kenny’ for three weeks to ADK9. We met his Trainner Danny who was a lovely man, very informative and friendly. Felt very comfortable leaving my dog with him. He sent regular updates and pictures of Kenny which was great. He helped turn our dog from pulling on the lead and biting his lead, to a much more Trained dog which we can now actually walk and not a constant battle. Kenny is a large breed dog and he jumped up constantly which was a massive issue for us!. He now doesn’t jump up! Don’t get me wrong Kenny has tried to push his luck with us, but we maintain his training and do as Danny shown us!. Danny is available if we need him since leaving, and told us if we have any issues to get in contact with him and he will he help with any issues we can’t handle or need advice. I am so glad I took Kenny here, and he seemed to love it!. If your thinking what to do, my advice is do it!. Such a lovely team of people and a lovely place. They also do boarding, which I will use when I go away! They also offer more training at a discounted price if we ever wanted to take him back for refresher training!. Great place! Would definitely recommend

Amazing work ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
We can’t thank Danny enough for the work he has done with our 2 year old collie/staff cross Max. Max was attacked just before lockdown and became very nervous and reactive to dogs and people, which had led to him pulling on the lead causing walking him almost unbearable. At home he has always been a whirlwind but behaved well however due to being unable to have much socialisation( due to lockdown) he began to be very anxious of people coming to visit. He would lunge and pull just walking past people and although he was never aggressive with other dogs off lead, his recall had become non-exsistant,when on his lead he would immediately pull to get to the dog and not leave them alone, as he didn’t know how to to play with other dogs. Max had become a very nervous and anxious dog. After trying group training and working with a 1:1 trainer, to no avail, we found ADK9s site and after reading through the training element we made the decision to try this for Max. Throughout his 2 week stay Danny kept us updated with emails and videos which helped relief our anxiety of leaving him. When we collected Max, Danny walked us through what he had worked on and it was amazing to be walking Max to heel whilst also having other dogs walking near us. Max was focusing on walking to heel and paying little attention to the other dogs compared to how he use to react, even when he did react he quickly snapped back using the training tools. Although we’ve only had him home a few days, the difference is immediate to see. Although I know it will take time and a lot of work ( especially developing our confidence in Max) he walks well to heel and although he does try to react in his old ways with the training in place he quickly snaps right back to what he should be doing and walking is now much more enjoyable. Max is still very nervous around strangers and always will be but you can see just from looking at him on walks how much he has developed thanks to his time at ADK9. After getting him home it was clear he had developed a bond with Danny as he was clearly missing him. I can’t recommend them enough and we will definitely be booking Max in for top up training when we are away next. Thank you Danny again for all your hard work with Max.
