I had a very positive experience with ADPList and, in particular, with my mentor Nikita.

I came to the session with a real project — Rismål, an Android application for houseplant care — and wanted an outside professional perspective on its UX and visual design. Nikita took the time to understand the project, the target audience, and the reasoning behind the existing design instead of simply suggesting changes for the sake of changing things.

What I especially appreciated was that his feedback was practical, specific, and respectful. He pointed out areas that could be improved, explained why they mattered from a UX perspective, and also recognised the parts of the design that were already working well. I left the meeting with concrete ideas that I could actually apply to the product.

ADPList itself made it very easy to find a relevant specialist and arrange the conversation. For an independent developer or founder who does not have a full design team behind them, access to experienced professionals like this is extremely valuable.

Mentoring on ADPList has been an incredibly rewarding experience. The platform has connected me with talented designers from around the world, and I love helping them move beyond creating beautiful designs to thinking strategically about business impact. Our conversations often go beyond design into branding, AI, product strategy, stakeholder communication, and career growth, helping mentees see themselves as business partners rather than just designers. Watching them gain confidence, think differently, and take the next step in their careers is what makes being part of the ADPList community so fulfilling.

I am surprised that not so many reviews here talk about how bad the technical part of the website actually is. I am not sure if ADPList is testing features and bugs with exactly my profile but for the last couple of weeks the website became almost impossible for me to use.

I couldn't message anyone for one week even though I reported the issue directly - probably, not being able to communicate on the platform at all was not seen as critical enough issue. For the last week, my profile was paused three times without any reason, the criteria of pausing profiles do not make sense, as the email with the pausing notification said "We have paused your account as a mentor because we noticed that you either have not accepted 5 booking requests in total. All requests expire after 48 hours of there being no response.". First, not accepting 5 requests IN TOTAL should not be the reason of pausing the profile - I am still actively giving sessions to my mentees. Second, the reason why the requests were not accepted from my side in the first place, was that on the website it is clearly stated that I have 3 days to confirm or decline a request. Here in the email it is only 48 hours out of a sudden. Third, the sentence "either have not accepted 5 booking requests in total" is not even logically finished. Other issues I had include not counting my sessions even though I was present and waited for 10 minutes for a mentee, not being able to open incoming messages, not being able to reschedule a session, sessions disappearing after one day, not being able to open a mentee's or mentor's profile, not being able to see a mentee's name, AI insights not being generated and my settings changed to enable autoaccepting sessions without my permission and without any notice.

The team is very slow to react to issues and resolve bugs - and it is pointless anyway because while they are working on resolving one issue, another one appears immediately after. The user experience issues were already addressed in the other reviews and I can only agree: the website is not intuitive at times and is partially structured in a not so logical way.

Felix the co-founder sent me a generic email two weeks ago saying "you had a mentorship session on adplist recently. did it actually help?" and asking to leave a review. Last time a had a session on ADPList as a mentee was on 17th of June, so it was not quite recently. I answered and addressed my technical issues and never got any response back.

I did not want to leave a bad review but I feel like I won't be heard otherwise. ADPList needs to invest much more in software development. It seems to me that the UX and software development expertise is severly lacking and no proper CI/CD pipelines are configured. Otherwise, I wouldn't experience so many bugs that made the platform basically unusable for me.

The mentee is a recent University Graduate applying for his first position. He needed guidance on CV preparation and presentation. He is knowledgeable and, in my opinion, well prepared. It was a very nice experience.

I had a session with a pretty seasoned mentor. It was a thoughtful call, and I received what I was looking for. The platform is smooth and easy to use. I wasn't expecting an automated report at the end of the session, so that was a super plus.

I started using ADPList as part of a requirement for a training program, where we were encouraged to book mentorship sessions for a month. I didn't expect it to become something I'd continue using beyond the program, but it has.

So far, my experience has been very positive. The mentors I've met have shared valuable, actionable insights that have helped me identify areas for improvement, and I'm already implementing their feedback.

What I appreciate most is the variety of mentors available across different career paths, making it easy to find someone whose experience aligns with your goals.

One tip I'd give new users is to book multiple mentorship sessions with different mentors. Occasionally, a mentor may be unavailable or unable to attend, so having other sessions scheduled helps you stay on track and gain diverse perspectives.

The only reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because of the occasional mentor no-shows. Aside from that, my experience has been excellent.

Overall, if you're looking for free or paid mentorship to accelerate your learning and career growth, I'd definitely recommend giving ADPList a try.

My experience with ADPList has been amazing. No shortcomings whatsoever, surprised to learn about a platform as this that connects mentees, people starting their career or career transitioners to be able to have a session with a mentor and get advice/access to people you may never have been able to interact with or interface with in life physically due to location and cultural barriers but ADPList really made it possible for me and navigating the app is really easy, not difficult at all. I have had a great experience using this platform, being able to book a session and being able to have up to 3 sessions this month. I am glad to have found out about it.

I am getting mentorship from the people working in the reputed companies and I feel that whatever I learned with them is practical applications of all the knowledge and I would highly recommend it for new comers in the industry to talk to the professionals and get their guidence.

Meeting with experts on different fields connected to my career path has been an awesome experience. Thanks so much ADP list for this cause without you, I wouldn't have been able to meet with such mentors in my life.
