The customer service representative told me they changed the formula because they couldn’t keep up with customer demand, yeah just add some ammonia into the mixture that will stretch the product out so they can accommodate more customers that sure makes a lot of sense to me , she said it’s only a slight smell of ammonia but I don’t agree because when I sniffed the container my eyes instantly started tearing and my nose started dripping, I’ve been ordering from these people for three years and will never ever put any of their products inside my body again and you shouldn’t either because ammonia can kill us , stay away from advanced bionutritionals if you value your health and life , God Bless , I also filed a complaint with the FDA and the better business bureau this is so wrong

Disgusting Ammonia Smell...will turn your stomach
I'm SO SAD. I recently ordered a six-bottle Advanced Amino Acid Formula from Advanced Bionutritionals. Excited to take the once-great product, I opened a bottle and almost vomited from the EXTREMELY STRONG AMMONIA SMELL. Being an optimist, I though it was a fluke bottle and attempted to open a second container. The stench was worse, disgusting. Not wanting to give up on the company, I called AB Customer Service (800-791-3395) to report a bad batch. When I spoke with the agent about the situation, she stated "oh we're aware of that." I asked for a shipping label to send the tainted products back, and was told "that's on the customer." Needless to say, I'm sad for the once great company. Hopefully, I'll get a refund when they get to it. I recommend that all the Advanced Amino Acid Formula bottles from Advanced Bionutritionals be recalled immediately. I'm still nauseated.

I'm glad to see that there are others who have had issues with this company. I have had issues with them, as well, that are almost surreal.
I ordered 3 bottles of Advanced Bionutritionals on May 21, 2024 for a total of $115.40 (including taxes and fees} on their website. As I was about to complete the order, a screen popped up offering an additional 6 bottles for $171.09 (again including taxes and fees}, I may be older, (hence my search for memory solutions), but the offer gave the impression that the total package of 9 bottles would be $171.09. I placed the order. About an hour later, I checked my bank's website to see if the transaction had been completed, only to discover that I had been charged for 2 transactions- one for $115.40 and one for $171.09, totaling $286.49 withdrawn from my bank account. Fearing a scam, I called Advanced Bionutritionals customer service and spoke to a young lady. Under the company's return policy, I would have 30 days to return the product for a full refund. I asked if she could just cancel the order, and she explained that it had already gone out. She instructed me to wait until my "orders" arrived, write "Return To Sender" on the outside and return it by postal service. Instead, I went ahead and paid $10.80 for shipping to the address on the label just to make sure I would have a tracking number for the shipment.
A few days later, after hearing nothing from Advanced Bionutritionals, I contacted them for an update. I had the displeasure of speaking with Mike, who asked where I returned to order. I explained it was sent to Advanced Bionutritionals in Wind Gap, PA, exactly how it was printed on the shipping label. Mike said they do not have a facility in Wind Gap, PA and he would have Lou contact me for additional help. It's been over a week and I've never heard from Lou. In the meantime, I have contacted and spoken to the Postmaster for Wind Gap, PA and he did confirm that the package was delivered and received at that location. Where it is now is unfortunately is anybody's guess.
I have also received a generic survey from the president of the company, but never replied to my terse report.
It appears that Advanced Bionutritionals may have a quality product but is represented by poorly trained customer service representatives who plainly lie to customers like your typical scammer-type website "organization" that you read about often do.
I am at a loss as to what to do next except to caution others to avoid Advanced Bionutritionals.

Been researching the Advanced Amino formula to correct some of my issues. Seems the company lacks the customer service side of business. The upsales at the end of order makes them look scandalous. Taking the better offer and getting charged for both? Seems a simple line of code would cancel initial order when selecting the next offer. That would save everyone a bunch of stress.
Just my opinion, I could be wrong? My other concern is the customer ordering 12 bottles for the whole family and now blocked from purchasing because of possible resale? Think about it, that's just insane. Or am I wrong? I'm still placing an order but now know what to look for although it could be easily fixed making the company appear more trustworthy.

Buyer beware of the "up-sales" upon checking out…
I changed the rating because I followed the representatives instructions and returned the unopened packaged to the post office. After receiving it, they refunded my money and I will now order again but will be more careful about the annoying up-sales.
After reading their Collagen Plus in Dr. Frank Shallenberger's newsletter, I wanted to give it a try. He highly recommended the company and this particular product. I went online to buy the product and after ordering a 3 month supply, and attempting to check out, an up-sale popped up with a better offer, if more product was ordered. Then another popped up with more incentive. I decided to order the one for 6 months of the product, thinking that would cancel the 3mo. supply but instead, I found out a few days later, by looking at my credit card online, that it was in addition to the 3 mo. supply, therefore it would be 9mo. of supply. To me, this seems underhanded. I called the company and spoke with a nice young man who said that he had other complaints about this same thing. He said that the only way I could fix the problem is to refuse the shipment when it comes and then try to order the amount that I want and avoid the "up-sales". I despise "up-sales" because I believe they are tricking you into more that you want. I will refuse the product when it comes, return it and try again, but it has really colored my impression of this company.

My initial order was lost. The customer service rep reissued the order providing Reference # 3111199. After 6 days the reissued order had not been shipped and the Customer service rep could not determine why. I cancelled my order and requested a refund. Cancellation number 310616 was provided and I was told to allow 3-5 days for processing .

Quality problem - Lumpy Powder
Quality problem - Lumpy powder with last jar I opened. Powder was hard packed and I had to use a knife to break the powder up into clumps.
This is the fifth jar I have used. Unique experience thus far. Have photo of bottom of jar with lot number, and photo of lumpy powder.

This company has serious issues! When my husband made a supplement order of 12 bottles we all take in larger quantities, they flagged his account as a potential re-seller and cancelled the order. When we contacted customer service to let them know that we are not selling any product, they could not do anything about it, but promised to contact a supervisor. In addition we left voice messages about this issue with but nobody ever returned a call. For several weeks now, we have been completely unable to talk to anybody who can resolve this for us. Great energy support
Was always exhausted; took two naps a day. After taking the Ubiquinol formula my energy has returned. I usually wake up at 4am workout then I used to take a 2hr nap. After 2 weeks of taking this I rarely nap and feel energized all day and have completed projects for my wife that have been sitting around for years. I highly recommend this product.

Their 90-day money back guarantee is a scam. It took them almost two months for the product to arrive to my home. When I returned it well within the 90 days of receiving it they refused to refund. They said she shipped the item more than 90 days ago. The product doens't work. That's why I returend it. Unregulated industry. This company is a scam to me.
