I booked an emirates ticket through…

I booked an emirates ticket through Aegean website and 5 minutes later realised i booked wrong time for the return flight.
I immediately called the call centre to cancel the ticket as usually with respectable airlines we can have 24 h cancellation window.
The lady told me i can only cancel if i buy another ticket through them.
Not only did she charge me 400 dollars more than the actual ticket price which was operated by emirates, my local airline.
When i took the trip and requested for my miles to be credited , the miles never got credited as Aegean ( who is partner airline with Emirates ) has said i cannot have any miles due to the fact i booked the ticket on aegean but flight was operated by emirates . How is this fair ?

They have lost my bag 4 weeks ago in Croatia apparently it ended up in Brazil!! We can’t get a hold of anyone at the airline no one is returning my call!! So unprofessional and frustrating don’t ever fly this airline!! Never again!!

No response from Call Centre after sending snapshot of issue being described.

We wanted to make use of some coupons.
For the fast track, the coupons could not be downloaded and -after reaching the call centre- the blame was put on the foreign phone network being used by our phones (while other downloads -such as tickets, etc.- were being downloaded normally).
For the upgrade coupons, we were not being able to properly request the upgrade via app/web. When reaching the call centre, they asked us to send snapshots of the screens to understand/believe what we where saying -ensuring that they would call back-, but we never heard of them again.

worst company ever

worst company ever, they practice a kind of scam by sparing passengers travelling together to oblige you to pay the change of each seat(minimum 7€), so imagine that your kids are spared in the front, your seat in the middle of the plane, and your wife elsewhere ! first and last time with this company ! when you ask at the check-in desk a change, they simply ask you to do it by yourself on the App, so to pay for it !

Traveler's worst nightmare

I bought a ticket that was not standby, they overbooked the flight and made me standby, I was able to get help from my friends in Australia as I went to 5 different employees to help but no one helped me. They kept telling me to come back in 2 hours and also two minutes. I almost missed the plane as well if I did not check my emails to see that gate has changed 5 minutes before the gate closed. I will not be using the airline next time I come to Europe, the employees were rude and not helpful at all. STAY AWAY.

Horrible service

Horrible service. 9:20 am flight from chain to Athens was delayed for no reason and baggage did not connect to Santorini. I was told baggage would be delivered by 2-3 pm but not delivered until 7pm. Phone support service offered no help or additional information. I did not get any email updates to let me know what was going on

Pet carrier mislead

They denied to travel with my pet because of the traveling bag that I carried for it. They said that the protocol changed and they forced me to buy new one from the airport which was the same thing. If asked I can provide photographic proof.
They refuse refund for their mistake and they trying to mess with my intelligence.
Disappointed.

Had flight from Larnaca to Copenhagen via Athens, one luggage lost and second heavily damaged. No assistance, no apology, no information. They do not care at all that one week in cruise without clothes. Inside of luggage worth 3000 €. Already 4 days, we have no information. To say that our holidays are ruined, to say nothing. Very disappointed.

Disgraceful customer service

The flights were fine, but I was extremely disappointed and frustrated with the customer service staff at Aegean Airlines. Firstly, the staff member clearly wasn’t reading my emails, as they kept calling me ‘Mr’, when I continually signed my emails as ‘Miss’, and they only corrected themselves when I called them out on it. Over the course of one week, I flew two flights Aegean. And from those two flights, I lost three expensive locks from my checked in baggage. When I reported this to the customer service staff online, I did not ask for reimbursement, I just wanted an explanation as to how this could have happened. At this stage I had been travelling around Europe for 5 weeks with many different airlines, and not once did I lose a single lock. Then, I flew with Aegean twice and lost three locks?? Seemed pretty suss, especially considering there was no physical damage to my bag as a result. The locks were also very expensive, strong locks that I have also used on other overseas trips, and not once did one get broken off or lost. The customer service team were completely useless, and I am still disgusted by their responses, or lack there of. No matter what I said, especially when simply asking how this could have occurred, and how could I know for sure that a staff member/unauthorised person hadn’t broken into my bag (considering there was no damage to the bag to indicate they were broken off by accident), the customer service representative continually stated the same thing over and over again, speaking as a robot. This was their response every time: ‘Based on our previous communication, we assume no liability for specific types of damage, including broken/missing lockers. Therefore, we count on your understanding that we are not able to respond favorably to your request’. The only other statement they provided was: ‘your baggages when you travel are absolutely safe with our colleagues’. Even thought they could/would not confirm how the bags are supposedly safe when the locks that are meant to protect the bags and it’s contents were removed? I was not asking for compensation (despite them being expensive locks), I just wanted to know what happened, and got nothing back. There is no way it is just a coincidence that I lost three locks with their airline; one lock lost I would understand, but not three. Clearly something dodgy has happened and there has been a security breach, and the airline are refusing to say or do anything. It is completely unacceptable.

They cancelled my flight without offering any real assistance, and I only received a partial refund. I submitted a refund request form and waited over 3 weeks — no response at all. I had to buy a last-minute replacement ticket at twice the price.

Terrible customer service: no replies to emails, no transparency, and no accountability. I will not be flying with Aegean again.

Should have 0 star.
Two flights and on both flight they destroyed a bag.
I made a doble booking since I had problems receiving a confirmation. I made a cancelletion of the ticket 01. June and waited for my money back. 1 1/2 week ago they told me my money should be in my bank last week. This saturday I asked again for my money. They promised me an answer saturday or sunday. Today its monday no money no answer and after more then 2 hours waiting at Facebook, no one answered me and now they have closed the line for today. Be aware if you want tobook a ticket with this airline. Dont expect any kind of service. IM STILL WAITING FOR MY MONEY OR AT LEAST AN EXPLANATION WHY I HAVENT REVEIVED MY MONEY BACK.

Zero customer service

On 1 July I received a message saying that my return flights in October had been cancelled and inviting me to get in touch via a contact form. I did so immediately, and followed it up with emails and Messenger messages. I've even emailed the managing director, but there is still silence 21 days later. I've tried phoning but jus hold on for hours with no reply. This is quite inacceptable.

Aegean Airlines Damaged My Baggage and Refuses to Take Accountability

I flew with Aegean Airlines to Frankfurt for Ironman Frankfurt 2025, and when I arrived, I discovered that my Canyon bike was damaged — one of the worst things that can happen just three days before an Ironman.

There was no airline staff available at baggage claim to help me file a report. I asked around and was eventually told to report the damage online. Later, Aegean denied my claim, saying I should have taken photos inside the baggage area. But this is not required under EU law. According to EU Regulation EC 889/2002, passengers have 7 days to report baggage damage, which is exactly what I did.

The damage has cost me €3,000, and Aegean’s refusal to take responsibility is incredibly disappointing — but sadly, not surprising. Many of us have dealt with airlines damaging luggage, but this has been the worst experience I’ve had in terms of customer service and accountability.

I'm sharing this because I’m tired of big companies avoiding responsibility while passengers are left to deal with the consequences. If you’re an athlete or traveling with valuable or fragile gear, DO NOT fly with Aegean Airlines.

Unacceptable airline

Unacceptable airline, you are forced to take hand luggage for a trip because they charge you for a baggage that should be free for a 4 hour trip at the airport when boarding in a sneaky and extortionate way they force you to give them the hand luggage because it doesn't fit on the plane under the pretext of measuring its weight and paying if you don't give it to them. All this miserable treatment by Aegean has resulted in us having to take our laptops out of our carry-on luggage and carry them on the plane in bags with all the possible damage and inconvenience this entails. Disgusting!!!

Aegean Airlines - a company that does not value its customers!

Disappointing Experience with Aegean Airlines – Will Not Recommend

Aegean Airlines has truly lost touch with customer satisfaction. During my recent flight from Greece to London, I was shocked by the lack of legroom in their newer aircrafts. The seating is so cramped that when passengers lean their seats back, it becomes an uncomfortable and potentially dangerous situation for those sitting behind them. On a 4-hour flight, this creates unnecessary tension between passengers—either the one selfishly reclining or the person behind who can’t even eat or adjust their position.

But the worst part of my flight was the toilet experience. The bathroom was tiny—just enough room for the toilet bowl, with no space to even turn around. It was filthy, with urine stains on the walls and paper scattered on the floor. When I politely asked the flight attendant if it could be cleaned, I was told, "Not now... later." This response was not only dismissive but also unsanitary, leaving me feeling desperate to get to a hotel for a shower as soon as possible.

It’s frustrating that Aegean Airlines has such a strong hold on the Greek market because it allows them to get away with subpar service and high prices. Sadly, this experience has left me with no choice but to seek alternative airlines in the future when I have the option.

I cannot recommend flying with Aegean to anyone based on my recent experience. It’s a company that clearly needs to rethink its customer service and overall standards.
