Like many other reviewers I have been defrauded of my money. I purchased a gift certificate which I never used, and after the expiration date it was supposed to be refunded (as per their T&Cs). I contacted them and they responded that the refund was made, however, I never received my money back. After several follow ups and reminders, I am now told I must provide them with a Russian bank account to receive my refund. Absolutely atrocious.

Bought 2 tickets from New York to London, London to Minsk. 1 Week later the flight got canceled due to covid and the aeroflot hotline didn't exist anymore, even though I have talked to a customer service representative on the same number to reserve a carry-on dog, just a day before cancelation. $2000 into russian pockets.

I am still waiting on a refund from Aeroflot having contacted them on multiple occasions, very disappointing.

I am a BA Gold card member and frequent flyer with many airlines. Aeroflot have a good product but have been on my NO FLY list since they began to sponsor Manchester United !
By doing this Aeroflot have aiddd the exploitation of the club by the Glazer family Aeroflot will receive #notapennymore

Don't book with them, our flight was cancelled and they refused to refund us. If we want a refund we have to wait for 3 YEARS! Avoid at all costs. Customer service are a joke.

They issued us 2 vouchers for 2 passengers and wouldn't let us use both vouchers for 1 passenger. Completely idiotic rules, saying they couldn't issue a new voucher or change the name of the voucher (when obviously they can). Total scam.

I have been waiting for a refund for my canceled flight for months! I am still fighting cause Aeroflot is trying to cheat me:
1st they told me I have to apply for a voucher, not a refund
2nd they told me I wasn't able to ask for a refund cause an agency had to do it
Now they tell me I have to apply for a refund in another country..
I discussed it with several consumer organizations and all that is fake - don't believe anything they tell you. You have the right to get a refund!! I know all their customers are in the same situation.
DON'T BOOK ANY FLIGHT WITH THEM!!

If you think that your flight will go smoothly, Aeroflot is bookable. The airline is ok, nothing special, but the price is usually lower.

However, if there is a possibility that something goes wrong with your flight, the flight is cancelled, cancelled due to force majeure, pandemic or anything else, then you have an enormous disadvantage with Aeroflot as long as you are not a Russian citizen. The reason for this is simple:
1 ) Aeroflot has its headquarters in Moscow and does not have to compensate under EU law if the flight is operated from outside the EU. So potentially any return flight.
2 ) Is it the case that passengers with certain visas are no longer carried, e.g. all those who have an electronic visa for selected areas.
3 ) This airline takes surprisingly little care of its passengers and likes to leave them to themselves. The airline refuses to cover any additional costs that the passengers may incur.

You should know and consider this when you book a flight. With other airlines you are on the safe side.

Aeroflot has just charged me a second time for the same ticket. A week ago, I bought tickets for me and my wife and paid with my Visa card. One single transaction. PNR: JHMGHL

Tonight just 30 minutes ago, Aeroflot has charged me again for the same tickets! Two transactions for the same amount in total.

What kind of business practice is that?! Not only their planes take off before official departure and they close the gates prematurely without waiting for all the passengers. They even charge you multiple times for the same tickets!

I am considering never coming back to Russia again. Not dealing ever again with any Russian companies. They tend to cheat every time. Things can go wrong when there is nothing that seemingly can go wrong.
