Zero should have been an option
Zero should have been an option because this airline is one of the worst airlines in the world. They cancelled 8 tickets for 4 people without even notifying us or sending us an email, and there is no chance for you to complain or get compensation. It was the worst experience I have ever had and it will not be repeated.

If I could, I would give it a zero star for all the inconvenience they have put me through. I have been promised a refund and it’s been 4 years now. Still NO refund. Don’t have any flights to the destination that I want to visit. Horrible !! Just pathetic, don’t waste your time!

This air flight company must be independed from foreign reviews now I guess 😂So, no harm to the image can be done! Mind you if you need something after your trip has been cancelled - it will be impossible to get through the customer service line. and even it is, you won't get a proper resolution , let alone compensation.

Aeroflot is the epitome of incompetence and dishonesty. My flight was canceled FOUR YEARS AGO ( from their side), and despite countless complaints and follow-ups, I still haven’t received a single cent of my refund. Every time I contact their customer service, I get a different excuse or runaround from their staff, but the outcome is always the same—no refund, no accountability.
I have lost my hard-earned money and countless hours dealing with this nightmare of an airline. Aeroflot is nothing short of a scam, preying on their customers with zero intention of delivering on their promises. Avoid this airline at all costs, unless you enjoy being robbed and ignored.

an awful flight
Some time ago I flew from Beijing to Moscow on an Aeroflot flight. A day before departure I tried to register on the company’s website. Registration was refused without explanation. I called the company. They told me over the phone that online check-in from Beijing was not possible and suggested that I check in at the airport. To get a good seat, I arrived at the airport more than two hours before my flight. However, it turned out that all the good places were already taken! There was one seat left for me in the middle of the row near the toilet. I don’t understand why they deceived me over the phone? How can you even treat customers-passengers like this?! I will try not to fly with this company again! If you have the opportunity, I recommend flying with other airlines!
Day 320: Refund still did not work
To my great surprise, I received the free, worry-free Aeroflot Premium program for free when I booked. After my flight was canceled, Aeroflot didn't miss a beat and very obligingly offered me the opportunity to learn Russian by sending me several emails in Russian in Cyrillic script. As is appropriate, Aeroflot Sprachcoaching AG has also attached a half-stupid Google translation in English. With the information emails reminiscent of fill-in-the-blank texts, my experience in the Russian language course was exquisite. I can now speak Russian so well that I can even understand the agents on the hotline! At this point, I have to give 5/5 Cyrillic stars. The all-around carefree package also included grief management and head training. With the help of Aeroflot, I was able to cope with the sadness of missing my flight. I had to make numerous very long phone calls about refunds with the less motivated employees who had little German/English/French language skills. The interactive and networked character of the carefree package is brilliant. So I was able to connect the numerous incongruent statements on the phone myself and thus enjoy brain yoga on a level that is otherwise only offered for a fee. I can now confirm statements like Aeroflot is a mental asylum firsthand. I would not have expected that they would take several hours on the phone to “deal with” my concern, which would take 30 minutes. At this point, I give pointless phone calls a rating of 6/5. Flexibility is very important at Aeroflot. On the phone it was claimed there would be no refund, then due to the tireless commitment to customer satisfaction, there is a theoretical refund, again followed by no refund. In phone call 4 there was a refund again, but only as a voucher/voucher. However, the next incredible offer at the teleshopping level from partner Lastminute.de became groundbreaking. During the pandemic, when I didn't want a voucher that said it would expire after 1 year, I was even made 2 offers for the flight, which cost 1,300 CHF. I was allowed to choose between 151.06 CHF in cash or a whole 183.13 CHF as a voucher. I was thrilled with this tempting offer, for which I was given 72 hours to make a decision. 3 months of calling at a price of 1150 CHF. WOW! In the 10th month of the Aeroflot carefree premium package, I sent a registered letter. As flexible as ever, my letter was responded to by email to my travel partner, so thanks to Aeroflot's commitment to my interpersonal needs, I had the opportunity for an interpersonal verbal exchange with my good colleague. In what is now the second lockdown since the flight cancellation, I have covered my personal well-being well. My travel partner then informed me that Aeroflot transferred money back to me on January 30, 2021, according to their own statement. What great news. Almost sad that my friendship with Aeroflot, which has now lasted for over 300 days, has ended, I continue to wait for my money. I'm pleased that after my failed vacation, my money has now apparently been traveling through world history for over a month and is probably making a tour of all the banks in the world. Out of envy about this tour through the financial world, I contacted Aeroflot again by email. On February 25th, 2021 I was informed that my money was sent on January 30th, 2021 to a card that I neither know nor have and that it could take 7-22 days, so I may be in brain yoga module 2. 22 Days after 1:30 is after February 25th and if I have any further questions I should contact my agent. So far I don't know where I even got an agent from, but maybe it's one of the Secret Service agents because so far he's pretty invisible and unknown to me. However, as a new agent owner, I feel like a VIP. At this point, I give a rating of 5/5 Novichok cans. After these praises, I unfortunately also have to mention a negative point. The duration of the carefree package is not entirely clear. Today I'm already enjoying the 320th day, but I would be extremely happy to have clear communication about the end. Conclusion: Of course, I can imagine using Aeroflot's services in the future. I have enough trust in the company that after trimming my toenails, I could imagine handing Aeroflot the responsibility of transporting them from the ground to the trash can. I might also send my grandmother to brain yoga at Aeroflot. Aeroflot is a great airline that just needs to work on its customer service, communication, website, payment transactions, customer journey, cancellation process, internal coordination, recruiting, English, and German, handling customers, working with partners, flight offerings, and staff training. A definite recommendation for all those who are tired of life, hotline fans, and brain yogis.
Covid dilemma
Like many others, I have received e-vouchers from this company in 2020 after the covid "outbreak". I had booked some other flights that year, and all airline companies - except for Aeroflot and S7 - handled the refunding well and in a professional manner. Even a low-cost airline from the Philippines.
With Aeroflot and S7, I was given a code with an expiration date of 1 year (was later extended to a total of 3 years). In the meantime, the Russia-Ukraine war took place and because of the sanctions it became almost impossible to fly from Europe to Russia (only if you transit via Istanbul, which is a pretty absurd thing to do). The e-vouchers became invalid and I was robbed of €400 by these two airlines. The communication with customer support was professional but they kept insisting they wouldn't refund.

Aeroflot, you are a beautiful scam! You owe me more than 2,000€ in cash because my vouchers have expired because of Covid. After numerous phone calls and despite the visit of a friend to Russia with a notarized letter in French and Russian to take the money, along with all the requested documents, you deliberately refuse to refund.

They cancelled the flight and did not give me a refund. Customer service promised to pay me back but nothing. In the end they refused to give me anything. Their support email address is so full of emails anything sent there will be automatically rejected.
We have to travel to Russian territory…
We have to travel to Russian territory or Kazakhstan to receive our refund within a year. Or, prepare a long damn list of paper to have our friends in Russia to get it for us, the list is so complicated we don’t know where to start. Such a smart solution!
Worst Airline I have ever dealt with
I booked Flights in 2020, they cancelled both flights and refused to give me a refund at the time. I had to wait three years to claim my refund which is absurd in itself. I finally claim and I am told they cannot issue me with a refund and to go to Russia to collect it? I live in Ireland. So unhelpful. Should have just refunded us in the first place. What can you expect from this Russian airline is, absolute rubbish, terrible customer service and dodgy policies.

They asked me to wait for 3 years (3 years!) to get a refund for the tickets that were canceled by Aeroflot due to Covid. And now they are asking me to go to Russia Aeroflot office to get my refund. Make it make sense! I need to go to a country I've never been to before, and spend as much money to get my refund! Yoh this is insane.

Horrible service! Didn’t even get a refund for my ticket that I did not use during COVID which was not my fault. It’s been 3 years! They are still not able to refund me. Feels like a Scam!
