Kafkaesque

Every year the experience is aweful! The company tells you to check in 3h before the flight, the staff forbids you to check in and tells you to wait. The passport control has a minimum 45minute queue (that’s with Fastrack) because the airport prefers to invest into technology than into people (customs etc). You can’t make Paris a hub of tourism if no-one can fly on time or pass customs… After many years of putting up through this, I’d advise anyone to take a boat, train or any other means of transportation (not an option for everyone I know) rather than going through Roissy.

Confusing and scary for first timers!

CDG airport is the most confusing and scary airport I have ever been too in my life… it is absolutely huge, not clearly labelled, ridiculously busy, impossible to find your way around especially if it’s your first time. I landed here to go to Disneyland Paris, my first time going to France, I had the hardest time trying to find the bag drop area, it took me forever to find my way around and it was so stressful, I needed to get to the train station they have in terminal 2 and the maps on my phone were not working, I was so worried I was going to miss my train and be stuck there… it was really nerve racking but it was my first time… I did eventually find the bag drop area and passport control, but even after doing that and claiming my bags trying to navigate to the train station was a nightmare, and don’t get me started on the train station itself because that was also confusing as hell and the train was a nightmare. For my return flight, I did find it slightly easier, but only because I got ridiculously lucky with the gate I needed for my flight being right infront of where I came out of passport control. If I hadn’t of gotten lucky, that would have been a nightmare too. Also the lack of food is terrible? There is absolutely nothing to eat. However they do have indoor smoking areas including at the gates and the staff were super friendly, so that is how it gains 2 stars and not less. I would 100% use this airport again but ONLY for Disneyland, it’s worth it for how quick and easy it is to get there from this airport but you wouldn’t catch me here for connecting flights or for any other purpose of travel.

Inefficient.

Security (baggage x-ray) and passport queue extremely slow, made me lose a connection. Even though I showed the assistants I was in a hurry.

Customs at Terminal 1

Customs at Terminal 1 is the worst experience I have had whatever departure and arrival. Enormous line, unpleasant staff. Have they realized that they are the first experience traveller have of France? Biggest airport of the most visited city in the world. Shame.

Special Assistance Lucie was great

I would like to thank Lucie for her patience and assistance at CDG on Friday. She was lovely and very kind. I do think that certain changes are needed. The disabled parking at Terminal 2D had a call button for special assistance. I called but they wanted me to walk a long way to get to a wheelchair. I can walk 50 metres at most so this was not great. They then told me to wait whilst they sent someone to collect me. There was no seating just a lean on bar but it was right in the smoking area. Horrid! Once I got to special assistance they were lovely and also efficient.

Disgusting disinterested staff and a complete inability to organise

We had a short connection time travelling in from Marseille to Paris CDG (flight AF7339) to then fly to edinburgh (flight AF1886). we only had 40 minutes to get through passport control and all the way to the next gate. we arrived at passport control and it was busy with only 2 agents working. there were 2 men with red jackets on with the word "INFORMATION" on the back. We tried to tell them we under real time pressure, and all we got was a shrug of the shoulders and then told there is nothing they can do and he turns and walks away. many other people also tried both him and his equally useless partner to be ignored or shooed away. One lady who was French started telling them they were a disgrace and that they should be talking to us and helping. again, she was met with the man just turning his back and walking away. We made our flight and were the last 4 people to get on the plane. But, if we were not fit and able to run through the airport we would have missed the flight. I wonder how many older, less fit people miss flights at your pathetic and useless airport. No wonder your airport has so many BAD reviews. You are clueless, and you employ worthless employees who are shockingly bad at their job. We had a short connection the day before at Schipol and when we got to Passport Control and showed the staff our boarding passes we were taken to a fast track lane and speeded through to make sure we made our flight. so other quality airports with decent management can make things happen , but not the French eh. and the worst bit is you don't care. I wish we had shown the same indifference in 1939 when as usual you were all missing in action. the worst airport in the world, again.

ORLY nul !

ORLY : nul !

Paris airports (or ADP) is a real shame with very poor services and no respect for customers and disable persons

Paris airports, though one of the largest in Europe, are constantly understaffed, so service is poor. Already, in the train which serves the airport, the mask is still compulsory, except around 30% of people do not wear it and they endanger others because the BA2 virus is on the rise. Security is also overwhelmed with people waiting tightly against each other with a backlog of overwhelmed screening capacities, due to a lack of sufficient personnel. When the wheelchair service is one of the worst on the planet, you become a package that has to be transported from one point to another at the whim of the insufficient staff. Disabled people are not respected in the Aéroports de Paris. I have already made multiple complaints and nothing has changed. You can wait for a wheelchair for 45 minutes or more than an hour on departure and arrival because there are not enough staff even though they schedule wheelchair reservations well in advance. So an airport below everything that should care more about its customers, the disabled than its profits which are all the more fat when the staff is structurally understaffed. A real shame for France for this public establishment.

Mieux vaut aller a Beauvais / Better go in Beauvais airport

A useless staff who treat visitors like nothing. Nobody to help before 6 am (yes, we are talking about Paris's airport). No service, queue everywhere, disaster organisation without talking about the automatic passport control which never work. Long story short, Orly like CDG could be rated on the same level as Douala airport. Even Beauvais appeared to me know like a luxurary airport.
