Well I know what I don't want
I left knowing a lot more about what I don’t want in a therapist. I don’t want someone who talks about letting go of perfectionism while carefully curating every post and caption to maintain a brand built on being "beautiful and ethereal.” (Not to mention how heavy on the ChatGPT she uses for everything). I don’t want someone who constantly cancels by saying she needs space for her nervous system but continues collecting full payments and updating her aesthetic online like nothing happened. And I definitely don’t want to sit in a session where every conversation somehow loops back to her: her trauma, her beauty, her intelligence. There’s nothing wrong with a woman having those things or even speaking to them in the right context. But the way she constantly reroutes the focus toward herself made her seem more invested in being witnessed than in offering any real counselling support.
