It was great overall
It was great overall - strong, fast signal, reliable… Until that one day (6/24/26) when our services were interrupted for several hours. There were 3 of us on Airalo for 15 days - my husband, my son, and I for our trip to Japan. Good thing we completed our train rides from a day trip in Kyoto and already walking to our hotel. That was probably between 530 and 6PM. Our map suddenly was giving us funny directions. When we reached our hotel, all 3 phones were showing SOS. We went out for a walk hoping that it was the hotel area that had no signal. We couldn’t find a restaurant to eat in because all menus were in Japanese and our translator wouldnt work. We ended up buying dinner from 7Eleven. Imagine if we were still in Kyoto and couldnt figure out how to ride a train back to Osaka. At the hotel, we were forced to use their wifi, which was almost inexistent. We spent the night in the hotel, doing nothing, as it would be useless going out without wifi on our phones. That was really frustrating. It was actually a great experience with Airalo except for those 5 or 6 hours without signal. =(

Mobile internet is useless
Mobile internet is useless. It’s VERY slow to the point where Google maps can’t even load 100%.
I’m using my wife’s phone which has international roaming to get around.
Had I known this from the beginning, I definitely would not have purchased the $72 dollar 15 day no limit data In Macedonia.
