No Phone. No customer service
This company does not have live customer support. They provide no phone number. I ordered a single device and paid for expedited shipping. They took my money but provided no status of the shipping after 6 days. They have not replied to the "online contact form"
Products do not work in Ireland.
I woild give the a no star rating uf i could. They sold me 2 Airbolts and subscriptions for both. It only took 6 months fornthem to finaly tell me that the AirBolt doea not work in Ireland. I even asked if it would work bwfore backing on Kickstarter and was told it would. Best avoid this company and tbeir products if you live in Ireland. Very disapointing.
Thieves..
Thieves..
They take money for products, then ignore all emails.
I used to love AirBolt - now it's just crooks.
Eventually it'll end up in court because it's not about the value.. Its the principal - I paid and they WON'T deliver
False Advertising and fake reviews
This product (Airbolt GPS Tracker), to put it bluntly, is mediocre at best. The app interface is not just a bit buggy; it's a labyrinthine mess that feels like it was designed by someone with no understanding of user experience. But I suppose that's par for the course with these newfangled gadgets.
Now, let's talk about the elephant in the room: the lack of geofencing capability. I shelled out my hard-earned money for this thing, specifically because I needed it to do one job—keep my precious $3,000 robot mower within the bounds of my property, approximately an acre in size. What did I get in return? A promise that "geofencing is coming soon." Well, let me tell you, promises don't cut it when you've already made a purchase.
I did what any reasonable person would do—I contacted customer care. Their response? Oh, it'll be available in about a week. A week? How about you remove the false advertising from your site and stop peddling this product under the false pretense that it has a feature it clearly doesn't possess? I was told it's in beta-testing. Beta-testing? I didn't buy a beta product; I bought a finished, working solution.
In summary, if you're in the market for geofencing, steer clear of this product like it's a sinking ship. Or better yet, if you're determined to throw your money away on this, make absolutely sure it has the geofencing capability you need before you hit that "buy" button. Anything less is a recipe for disappointment and frustration.
Scammy and useless.
Scammy and useless.
First delivery was delayed by multiple years vs. initial kickstarter plan.
Then functionality had to be paid. (of course it makes sense that mobile data subscription is neede, but they made a point of not being too transparent about it at kickstarter launch).
Then the device does not work properly. First few weeks it didn't even register. Then the GPS accuracy was absolute garbage. The battery life was but a fraction of what was promised. And the website and app are a confusing mess.
Cancelling the subscription is intentionally well hidden. You can't do it via Account settings. You must go through every single device and find a well hidden 'payment plan' option there. As the entire thing is massively confusing I didn't succeed in cancelling yesterday. So now that I managed to do it today, the subscription went through regardless.
The entire product is so garbage that I can't even sell it with a good conscience to a friend who could use a good tracking device for their pet.
TLDR: One of the more egregious over-promising and under-delivering kickstarter campaigns I've ever seen. Borderline scam.
Title: AirBolt GPS Perfect For My Travels
I had recently traveled for work, and the airline lost my luggage. This was really untimely as I had product samples that I needed for my meeting, which not only didn't arrive on time, but still haven't been found. With that experience, and my constant travel schedule, I couldn't risk having this happen again. I did some research, and took a chance with the AirBolt GPS. I am really glad that I did. It was very easy to set up after I downloaded the App from the Apple App Store. It walked me through the setup, and it started working right away. It was cool to see my location, and I was able to change a bunch of tracking and alert settings. It is very small, and I just attach it to my luggage and can see it pop up in my phone as soon as we land. I use it on other stuff as well, which makes my investment in AirBolt even more worth it.
Airbolt GPS ... avoid
Took 2 years to arrive as part of the start up, however does not work with UK mobile network so can only get a fix when in bluetooth range so absolutely useless. save your money and buy a tile or equivalent works much better for 25% of cost and no subscription required. Worse thing is they know of the issue and keep it quiet!!!
Scam who lies to its customers and online. Stay away from this shady company
Invested in this company for their airbolt gps devices through indiegogo.com and bought 5. None work. Complete scam with responses on indiegogo.com to their defective product being to blame the user. I'm in I.T. I don't have a problem using an app. So far not one response (to their support team through airbolt itself) at all to my devices not working. I feel others should know so they aren't scammed. Their pamphlet states their geofencing is their most popular feature only this feature has never been implemented on their devices. If you're going to outright lie to scam people then you should be outed for it.
extremely disappointed by Airbolt
"I am extremely disappointed with my experience with the AirBolt GPS tracker. I purchased it online with the expectation of receiving it within four weeks, but it has now been three months, and there has been no sign of my order. The lack of communication or any updates from the company has only added to my frustration. This level of service is unacceptable, and I hope that my concerns are addressed promptly."
GPS for my dog Henry
Backer from Kickstarter. Using their lock for 5 years now and just got their new GPS. I bought it for my dog and I love it. It gives me the peace of mind I was after. Happy backer since 2015.
