Still waiting for a refund!

Still waiting for a refund!! Legally I’m owed one and they are taking forever to process it. Absolutely disgraceful and bad customer service. It’s actually crazy how long it takes them to refund people.

Ruined 18th Birthday Trip To Paris

They cancelled our outbound flight for all 11 of us due to an air traffic control strike. We booked Eurostar to get to Paris to celebrate my daughter's 18th birthday instead as they couldn't offer us an alternative. Now they say that you can't take the return flight as we won't have flown out with them. What a ridiculous policy that is. We've had to buy last minute Eurostar tickets. Who are the losers? Us and AirFrance, the winners Eurostar. What is the point of that?
Never again Air France.

Very negative experience

I was hoping to have a pleasant experience with Air France, but it has been frustrating. My husband has a spelling mistake in his name and needs to change from Ian Freemam to Ian Freeman. I was assured it will change, yet tickets came through with the unchanged name. We have economy tickets, but are unable to add any baggage and it clearly states online that economy tickets may add 1 baggage weighing till 23kg. Booking Ref: VQCPPX

Really good.

Travelled with many airlines but found Air France to be excellent.

Hard to get hold of (approx 50 mins waiting) but were excellent in helping with minimum fuss.

You can only judge a company on how they respond if things go wrong and Air France were excellent for me.

Will reuse.

Booked two Business Class tickets to…

Booked two Business Class tickets to Cuba. Due to the recent political and social situation in Cuba we have decided it is safer to avoid going there.
Tried to change the booking online - can't change the destination, just dates.... they force you to call their customer service.
Called customer service, some people speak English some don't- shocking! After someone quoted us for a change of destination to Punta Cana (which was cheaper than the flight to Cuba anyway so we would lose money) we were told that the changing fee is £280 per person - we were happy to pay that. The advisor saved the quote and said that we can call back and just pay the additional fee as it is all saved on the system.
We have called back and asked the new advisor (the less English speaking one and one with a lot less common sense) to proceed, she has advised us that as we have started a new call/enquiry with them she has now cancelled our saved quote and said that currently we will have to pay £7000 each!!!! to change our flight. What on earth?
Air France should happily help us change the flight as the situation in Cuba with protest, food shortages and electricity blackouts is not a safe destination! Customer Service is diabolical and Air France should be ashamed and also legally held responsible for not providing a customer service that can speak English -it is dangerous to speak to them as they really don't have a clue what you are saying to them.
We have recorded the conversations with their customer service and if it cost me a fortune I will not leave this as it is.

Good value flights but not so good if…

Good value flights but not so good if there is a problem to deal with. The web site can be a little confusing as some of it (booking transport to and from the airport) is in French and found the help desk always busy.

outrageous customer service

After booking and paying for two return business class tickets to Brazil, unfortunately the plans have changed and we had to change the flights and the dates. And that is when our nightmare started. After being on hold each time for over 30m minutes, talking to numerous agents, that all give us completely different information, after waiting for 4 days for a promised new reservation email, we called the AF again, and another "customer advisor" Angel said again that there are no recored changes to our booking, that that new flight is economy class would cost us the same amount as our return business class, but if we were being it online it would have been £2000.00 cheaper!! After we asked to talk to her supervisor, first she said that there is no supervisor, 5 min later she said that her supervisor is there but wouldn't talk to us. Lies after lies, exhausting and frustrating!!! The worst customer service ever. Complete absence of service, to be fair. We still haven't achieved anything, just wasting our time on useless agents that are rude, unhelpfull, and totally unprofessional .

Never ever ever again air france... give me ryanair anytime!!!!

Never ever ever again booking through Air France - where do I start? In summary... you call customer services and because they're busy, you get cut off. The only communication possible with a human seems to be through Facebook messenger. It has taken 3 days to sort out 1 problem through messanger because you're having a slow-motion conversation going backwards and forwards - this would have taken 2 mins on the phone... so frustrating. Online system is terrible - now we've ended up in a position where the system shows we've booked all our seats but our receipt only shows some... apparently messenger people say we need to call - when we call we keep getting cut off - we have little children and can't let them be separated from us on the flight... seriously... have never encountered such a long catalogue of problems with an airline... have no hope that when we turn up it will all be fine... we've never ever had this amount of difficulties with ryanair... and that's saying something!!!!!!!

Poor Booking system and atrocious unhelp rude agents who demonstrate zero people skills and appalling customer service.

I tried to book online. Problem was it kept timing me out after it gave me a reference and I couldn't pay as it said booking ref not found. I tried this 4 times and it did the same thing. To add insult to injury every time I went back in,the price had increased. I rang Air France, explained the situation, gave them the reference number the website had given me. They fobbed me off as if it was my error with oh someone must have beaten you to that price then and gave me a new price which was £500 more than my original quote. I suspect the agent had not put the filter on to direct flights only show, as he told me there was one stop and the airline was Lufhansa. When my daughter logged online whilst I was on the call with the agent,it gave her my original price for my two flights to and from Paris. She then had the same problem, it kicked her out as she was trying to pay on her card and when she went back in, it upped the price again. The agent couldn't explain why. I asked to speak to a manager and he hung up on me.

I rang back immediately and the second agent, also a male who sounded just like the first agent who had hung up on me,but gave a different name. I had to explain all over again what had happened, he made me go through the whole thing again and guess what, the price he gave me was a lot higher than my quotes I had got off the system . My daughter went to the dates and times onlinee and the flights were a lot cheaper. He told me I wasn't quick enough making the booking and someone else must have taken my booking. I asked to speak to a manager, he said no point. I asked how do i register a complaint, he said it won't make any difference to the price. I said I still wanted to make the complaint and he said someone would call back but to date iv`e had no response. I seriously doubt that he registered the complaint anyway.

I was so distressed and frustrated he said there was nothing else he could do and that was the price did I want it or not. I said I would wait for the call back from the complaints team first. He said okay but all the flights would be gone by then.

In desperation I tried two more times and instead of doing a return booking I did them as two seperate bookings. This by a miracle worked and finally I got the tickets not the same price as my 1st quote but not far off. Definitely not the £500 pounds extra the agent quoted me.
Why is the booking system so unreliable. I suspect other people have had the very same issue.
