They lost my 2 bags and refuse to do anything, im reporting the authorities.

I had a terrible experience flying with Air Serbia. My baggage was lost, and since then, the level of customer service has been nonexistent. I've tried multiple times to get an update through phone calls, emails, and even reaching out via social media but have received no helpful response or resolution.

What made the situation worse was the complete lack of accountability. Air Serbia's ground handling partner (Groundforce) was just as unhelpful. When I called to follow up, the operator refused to give me her name or any reference for the call. That’s unacceptable when dealing with a lost baggage case involving personal belongings and time-sensitive travel.

It’s been 15 days, and I still have no idea where my luggage is. No updates. No follow-up. No basic courtesy from the airline or their partners.

This experience has been incredibly frustrating, and I would strongly advise others to think twice before flying with Air Serbia; especially if you value your belongings and expect even minimal customer service.

Worst airline I ever used

Worst airline I ever used. I don’t fly with air Serbia often but every time I did the flight was late. London to Belgrade we left 25 minutes late and Belgrade to London we left hour and 20 minutes late. Why is it that Air Serbia flights can never leave on time??!! And this is not the worst thing. What is frustrating is the air Serbia staff at the airport. Very unprofessional, rude with no communication skills or compassion towards the passengers. During those extra hour and 20 minutes that we had to wait not once they made an announcement at the gate to at least apologise for the delay if they couldn’t say what’s going on and how long we have to wait. Instead just silence and no communication from them which is very unprofessional. Finally when we started boarding the woman at the gate that was checking the tickets was very rude, unpleasant with no customer service skills. She asked me for a visa, I showed her my e visa, I was very tired so no, I didn’t smile but I never said a bad word to her and she started telling me I have a bad attitude and how there’s no need for it!!! Excuse me!! After 3 hours of waiting at the gate and changing the gate, people are tired and nervous, the kids are screaming and shouting, she has the time to start the argument with me for no reason about my attitude( when actually she was the one with bad attitude) instead of doing her job professionally with a smile and maybe apologising for the long delay! We are the customers and paid the money to you, not the other way around! And you never know what the people are going through or what might happen to them, so shouldn’t make any comments like this and should just say have a nice flight! Honestly I was shocked and told her that she actually has an attitude to which she continued that she doesn’t that I do, I just proceeded to the plane in disbelief. Like she is working at the flea market and not for Airline company! I will never fly with Air Serbia again and several people sitting around me at the gate said the same thing. Air Serbia you need to get your self together and seriously consider who’s working for you at the airport and give these people a serious customer service training! Sort out all your technical issues and try to be on time!! On the other side the pilots and the staff in the plane were ok, but ground staff and organisation just shocking!!

AirSerbia

On May 20, 2025, despite holding valid tickets for flight JU537, I was left stranded at Athens Airport, along with a disabled companion, Mr. Miloš Rakas. There was no staff, no check-in, no assistance, and no contact whatsoever. I am a terminally ill patient, registered for an organ transplant, and a dual citizen of Switzerland and Serbia. What happened was not just neglect – it was a violation of multiple international laws: •Montreal Convention (Art. 19) • UN CRPD (Articles 9, 20, 21) • EU Regulations 261/2004 & 1107/2006 • Swiss FOCA/SECO regulations •Serbian consumer and aviation laws •Greek HCAA safety protocol •Etihad’s liability under UAE Civil Aviation Law I demand: • A formal written apology • A full refund and compensation • A new ticket with full medical accommodations If ignored, I will proceed with: • Legal action in Switzerland, Serbia, Greece, and the EU • Formal complaints to UN bodies, EU agencies, and national aviation authorities • A global media release to over 270,000 verified recipients This is not a complaint. This is a reckoning. Mr. Bojan Lazić

Shame and Slame

In December 2024, I purchased a round-trip ticket from Chicago (CHI), USA to Belgrade (BEG), Serbia for my wife as an anniversary gift. I paid extra to reserve seat 15A. However, during online check-in on Sunday night, my wife was informed that her seat had been changed to 24K, despite having a confirmation email showing 15A as the selected seat.

We immediately contacted AirSerbia and were told we had to file a claim for a refund. No explanation or concern was offered about why that particular seat had been selected, nor was any effort made to accommodate her needs. At the airport, the check-in agent dismissed the issue, stating, “It happens all the time due to aircraft configuration.” However, based on our research, AirSerbia operates only one aircraft model on the CHI–BEG route—the same aircraft that was recently promoted as their newest and most advanced. Furthermore, upon boarding, my wife saw that seat 15A was occupied by another passenger, suggesting that the aircraft configuration had not changed at all, and the explanation was merely an excuse.

Unfortunately, other passengers shared similar frustrations—many complained about poor aircraft condition and indifferent service. To make matters worse, the flight was delayed. Boarding, originally scheduled for 6:00 PM, began at 7:43 PM, with departure finally taking place at 9:05 PM—over two hours late. Instead of making up time during the flight, the plane arrived more than an hour later than the typical flight duration, totaling around 15 hours of travel time for a non-stop flight.

These issues—seat changes without notice or valid justification, delays, and dismissive service—are deeply concerning. One passenger, mother with two small children, even joked, bitterly, that their luggage was lost on a direct flight from CHI to BEG. A direct route should be a privilege, yet the level of professionalism and care provided by AirSerbia on this route is alarmingly low. If this continues, I worry that the CHI–BEG connection may be discontinued altogether.

I hope this feedback leads to serious consideration and meaningful improvements. At a minimum, AirSerbia should ensure flights depart on time, honor paid seat selections, and treat passengers with basic respect and empathy.

Worst Airline EVER

They lie when bidding on business class seats. Do not fly with them. The airline sucks, their customer service sucks, their airplanes sucks, the food sucks. Everything about this airline is a travesty. PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND FLY ANY OTHER AIRLINE.

Worst freaking company every

Worst freaking company every. Never flying with them ever again. They canceled my ticket out of nowhere. They told me, it's written on the ticket, but I never found anything about it on the ticket I bought. I had to buy another ticket as a direct flight back, that costed more than my return ticket I bought mainly. Thieves and liers.

Cancelled my reservation without informing

I booked a ticket from Air Serbia around 3 months before the flight for me and my family. At some point in time, Air Serbia cancelled our flight without informing us. We learned that when we are at the airport trying to check in. We called Air Serbia and instead of fixing the issue, they offered us a new ticket with 5 times the price we paid. They said they cancelled our flight and paid the amount back and no other information why they did it. Although they said it was cancelled, 3 days before our flight, I received emails from Air Serbia asking if I want to upgrade my upcoming flight. When I told it, they said there was an error in the system. I booked another ticket from another airline for a much higher cost to go back home. I requested to be compensated for my loss but they did not care.

A positive experience

I flew London-Belgrade and back this week and it was a totally positive experience. Cabin crew very helpful, and nothing was too much trouble for them as they carried out their duties with a smile. Will definitely use again.

If I could give a zero star I would !

If I could give a zero star (or minus) I would. I have been flying for 40 years with 20+ international airlines...Air Serbia is definitely one of the worst, if not the worst.

I bought a ticket to Belgrade through Expedia, and entered all my passport details and name correctly on Air Serbia website for my flight. For some bizarre reason the system had used the name on my initial reservation (with Expedia) for my boarding pass, and completely ignored all the passport details I have put on their website for this particular flight.

I got to the gate almost 1.5 hours before the departure, the agents (at the gate) simply were not interested in helping at all. It took Expedia more than an hour to change my name on their system, by then no-one is allowed to get on the plane. But also Air Serbia agents said that wouldn't have made any difference because they only cared about the paper boarding pass in my hand.

Expedia also told me later Air Serbia has cancelled the second half of my flight automatically because they deemed me as 'no-show'. But next morning I have received a welcome email from Air Serbia urging me to upgrade and pay more for my ticket which I already knew didn't exist...out of curiosity I followed the link and realised I could indeed pay again for a ticket that Expedia categorically told me didn't exist anymore.

Probably also worth mentioning I have paid for a premium seat for the flight I couldn't get on, and when the boarding pass was printed it had a random and non-paid-for seat allocated.

As said, this is the worst customer service and IT system I have seen. They only care about making money, every function is working in 'silos' - that's why the passport details (and paid-for premium seat) were not reflected on the boarding pass, and the department getting paid for the upgrades have no idea that the ticket is no longer valid.

So I wasted a whole week's non-refundable ski trip, but that's a lesson I have learned. Never ever fly Air Serbia !

AirSerbia or how to destroy your suitcase in one flight

Worst experience ever! I wouldn’t recommend anyone to ever fly with this company.

After they completely destroyed my suitcase, I immediately send a form to ask for the money I needed for my new suitcase. Then I needed to wait 60 days for them to answer me after I called them a couple of times and send them more e-mails. Then they just told me that their final decision is to ignore the damage that they made and not to pay me for the new suitcase. I’ve never Experience such level od unprofessionalism.

"Air Serbia" is a joke. A bad one.

First (and last) time I flew with them on Jan 2nd 2025 and all I have to say is: STAY AWAY from this so-called airline company.

I was travelling from Oslo to Athens via Belgrade, and this could really be a very lengthy post, but I will spare you the particulars of my horror story and give you the main points instead:

-Flight delayed 2 hrs at Oslo, no explanation given.

-Upon arrival at Belgrade, clueless staff and no company representative who could responsibly answer questions and provide guidance.

-Seriously unorganized transfer process from the airport to the hotel. Endlessly waiting for the bus and losing further time due to the amateur way of boarding the passengers.

-Instead of taking us to our final destination in Athens, they flew us to Thessaloniki and exhausted us further, by being indecisive on which connecting flight we should board for Athens - at some point, to our absolute terror, they even suggested us to fly from Belgrade to Vienna and from there to Athens..!!!!!!!

-Upon our arrival at Thessaloniki, our paid for luggage was appearing as unpaid at the system. I know at least another passenger who had to pay again for his already paid luggage.

-In the meantime no counter available and no representative of the company at Thessaloniki and Athens airports - only a malfunctioning call center.

-A trip supposed to last 6 hours (including layover), lasted well over 22 hrs...

Need I say more? STAY AWAY...!!!!

Are there any competent authorities monitoring the operation and performance of such companies?
Why do passengers have to endure this?

P.S.
For what it's worth, I believe that their pilots are good - at least that was my experience.
