Let’s set the record straight: if your furniture arrives in 18 weeks, consider yourself fortunate. In my case, it took about 28 weeks, but that’s not on AKD—it's due to various ongoing global issues. However, once my beautiful piece finally arrived, all the wait faded away, thanks to its exceptional quality!

I chose a stunning mid-brown country French bed, and it’s absolutely gorgeous. While I could have opted for something more modern, I felt this style complemented my period property perfectly—and I was right.

The assembly process was quite straightforward; I managed it on my own, though I’d recommend having a second pair of hands for ease. Isobel was delightful throughout the process, and I hope the photos I sent her make it to her website. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my purchase!

Bought a large corner desk in French white with green leatherette top - looks absolutely stunning. It took over 6months from ordering to delivery but we were expecting that and it has been well worth the wait. Isobel kept us informed of progress and we are so happy with our purchase. I would certainly recommend AKD to anyone wanting a quality piece of furniture. Excellent company.

I ordered a custom built cabinet to fit an exact space. I saw an example of one I liked which I sent to akd. They then went out of their way to check what type I wanted, what style, the colour and even down to the type of handle and colour of handle I wanted. I sent them measurements and they sent me a few advisories as to what they felt would help. I asked for a mirrored back as well which they completed beautifully.

They then sent me two drawings just to make sure I am happy.

I did have to wait for it to be built and sadly due to problems out of their control it looks a little longer to be delivered than they first said but again they kept me in the loop at all times emailing me to explain whet wa happening.

I would strongly recommend ordering from them. It was even better that I could ever have imagined.

I thoroughly researched where I would source my new study furniture and from the earliest of searches AKD were near the top of the pile. With significant further thought and comparison on my side, and through direct contact with the AKD team, particularly Isobel, I eventually made my order.
The hardest things were not just buying sight unseen, but trusting a long delivery time from half way around the world of furniture not yet made at the point of ordering.
I need not have worried. In the event everything went seamlessly well and the AKD team were able to offer further information about how the furniture would fit into my 1500s Tudor house and even what staining and lacquering methods I should use to match the furniture with the room.

The design process was really straightforward and open to suggestions and changes. There was good communication and expectation management throughout, and while the lead time was quite long, they gave me the link to an app to track the ship, which was great fun!

Absolutely worth the wait for these great forever-furniture pieces.

I ordered the Georgian writing desk and it arrived today and it is a beautiful piece of furniture.

I recently bought a dark mahogany bed from AKD furniture and it is literally faultless. It is beautifully designed, rock solid, very high quality mahogany and a very high skillset has been applied too. I did not think items like this could be produced these days. Everything we buy today is factory-made and usually built as cheaply and economically as possible and thus not to last either. This bed is the total opposite of all that. It is honestly like it was made brand-new by the Victorians. I am astonished by the quality. Thank you to everyone at AKD but most especially to the carpenters for their skillset and efforts. They deserve very high praise. I would just add, you have to wait a few months for the items to be produced and shipped to the UK but it is worth the wait as you will never find this quality furniture supplied anywhere in the UK anymore. Needless to say I will always be buying from AKD furniture going forward.

I was fortunate enough to find this company whilst browsing for wooden furniture for my first place. A daunting enough experience in its own right, especially when looking online.

From the start I was contacted by a lovely member of their team who was incredibly understanding and was happy to answer the many questions I naturally had.

After picking the perfect color tone from their sample swatches, I placed a large order for several sets of drawers which I recently received.

I can wholeheartedly say I've been blown away by how wonderful each piece looks and feels. They have completely warmed up bare rooms a treat and I very much hope I'll be able to get life out of them for years to come! Not to mention it all arrived safe, sound and lovingly wrapped.

I have just put in another order for a kitchen table from these guys, which the same team member kindly offered to help with without question. I think that says it all for me, thank you!!! :)

I cannot express how exceptional our coffee table is! I had an immediate emotional heart thump! The craftsmanship is exquisite. The detail indescribable.

My lovely new side-board arrived on Thursday 21st December in the afternoon - just in time to go into our dining room for Christmas 🙂
It arrived very well packed and after removing all the packaging, I was thrilled that it had arrived in perfect condition.
The item is very well made and the finish far exceeded my expectations. It is lovely. We will definitely be ordering again.
We have many items of similar mahogany furniture in our home, but this piece is finished to a much higher standard.

Our beautiful new bedroom furniture came this week, 2 wardrobes, 2 bedside cabinets, a tall boy and chest of drawers in light mahogany. We are absolutely delighted with it. As it's made to order there is usually a waiting time for it, but it's well worth the wait. This is our 4th order from AKD and, as always, the quality of the furniture and customer service Andy and Isobel provide has been excellent. Andy gave me useful advice regarding design and customisation, and Isobel kept me informed throughout the process. I highly recommend AKD for their products and customer service.
