They took down my blinds and replaced the window and left my apartment dirty and completely exposed to the buildings across. It has been more than a month that I have no privacy as the entire apartment is visible through the window where the blinds were taken off and not replaced.

The lack of care and professionalism is shocking for a company of this size. The properties may look nice in photos, but once you move in, it becomes clear that they cut corners on maintenance and repairs. To make matters worse, their focus seems to be on driving up rent prices rather than creating a safe and comfortable living environment for tenants.

If you’re considering Akelius, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. It’s not worth the frustration or stress.

Avoid these scammers! I mistakenly transferred $25,000 to their building manager's TD Bank account, and they refused to return the money, making up countless excuses. Moreover, they are notorious for ignoring their tenants' needs entirely.

I rented an apartment with them in January 2021 on Tyndall Avenue and it has been a month. There was a crack on the floor, the shower head was broken, one of the fridge drawers was broken and the kitchen window does not open at all. I was told to accept it as is and that they are not going to fix it. This morning, the water was cut. I was not even informed. There was a heating cut two weeks ago. We were not duly informed either. In emergency cases, the call centre agents tend to be a little dismissive. This is my experience so far. Hope that it will improve.
