Keyboard case had a faulty key

Keyboard case had a faulty key. Akko, doesn’t refund the full amount for return shipping. Said they would refund up to 20USD, which was still slightly under the amount I had to pay. But they actually converted it to my currency, minus an additional PayPal fee. About 4-5 dollars difference which is minor, but a bit annoying on principle, especially since the item arrived faulty from the factory.

Still waiting on the refund for the returned item. Will see how that goes and update if required.

I have returned the product

I have returned the product, everything according to the terms and conditions, paid for shipping to Italy, and now nobody is responding anymore. I have never had this kind of terrible experience with any webshop.

Update: I have received a refund in the end. It took more than a month but in the end I am happy to get the money back.

Shipping from wrong lair

What the hell i specifically chose local lair to make sure the delivery wars as fast as possible now its getting shipped from China I've got no message about this no heads up about it the only reason why I know it's shipping from China is Becuse of the shop app please just give some sorts of heads up

bad construction

Their hot-swappable keyboards are bad. After some time, my Ctrl and Shift keys stopped working because the construction loosens and the pins on the switches no longer make contact with the sockets. You can try tightening the screws, of course, but the screw heads will wear out, so you can’t do anything about it. This is the last product I’ve bought from them.

Bad product quality and customer service

I ordered a 65% keyboard in January 2024. On the first day three of my switches turned out to be faulty. After a week it was 5 of them. I messaged Akko about my issue and this is what they said:

"Regarding the switch problem, we have the following methods for you to choose.
1.We would like to arrange for you to have 6 new switches resend.
But the shipping fee to resend 6 switches individually is expensive, and the package is small, there is a risk of losing it in transit.
2. Do you have you placed a new order recently? If so, I can request a free box of switches (45 pieces) to be shipped with your order.
3.If you have extra switches to use, we would like to offer you a refund of 2USD as compensation.
Also, on your next order, I would also like to resend you 6 switches to reduce the risk of package loss.

Do you have extra switches you could use?
If so, as far as I am concerned, a box of switches is definitely much more cost-effective than 6 switches.[Kiss]
Which would you rather choose?
Thanks a lot for your understanding."
^this is exactly what they said in the mail, I kid you not

So basically they're saying that I can either get 6 switches as a compensation or get 45 if AND ONLY IF I decide to order another product from their site. This is obviously a scam to make you want to order again from their site.

I expressed my disappointment, after that it took them two weeks to respond. In this time another three of my switches turned out to be broken. I resorted to some arguing and they agreed to send me a box of 45 switches for free (I should have been compensated with a full new set of switches, not only 45, but okay. Also, 2 dollars of compensation per faulty switch? Really???). One problem is that the line of switches that my keyboard came with was discontinued and I had to pick a different model. It's been a year and 7 of the replacement switches are broken.

To sum it up, they sent me a faulty product, gave a ridiculously weak compensation offer, took weeks to answer, went for the cheapest compensation possible and sent me a faulty replacement for a broken product.

Never buy Akko products. They look great and have nice and exciting themes, but the quality of the product and the customer service is beyond disappointing.

Both packages that I ordered from this…

Both packages that I ordered from this company had shipping complications. Not only that but the second shipment got sent to the wrong place. What resulted was them sending me to their insurance contact who wanted me to submit a police report, provide a recording of the event, or the currier (FedEx) claiming that the package was missing. Since I couldnt get I ended up submitting a police report but they ended up proceeding without it anyway. But then they wanted my full banking information in order to give me my money back which really sketched me out. I ended up getting them to send the refund Via paypal but still being asked for sensitive information like that is pretty unsettling.

Not only that but I didnt end up getting the shipping costs back so then im still losing money and apon asking Akko if they could provide a code for shippping I got no response.

If you do decide to buy Akko products, I would avoid buying from them directly as their customer service is bad and 2/2 packages that I bought from them had to get their barcodes replaced which I would assume has to do with how they are shipping items.
I had to go back and fourth for 4 days to get my money back and now on reordering the item I have to pay for shipping again. Now I get to wait 8-20 days wondering if the item will even appear at all.

Very good keyboards

I recently purchased a keyboard from Akko. It arrived quickly and was of very good quality. At first, I had a few issues with the driver, but I contacted support, and my problem was resolved within 18 hours. A very good brand if you want a high-quality keyboard at a fair price.

One of the worst experience.

Bought many things online but I can without a doubt say that Akko Gear is the worst experience for me.

Bought in November 2024 a keyboard and a mouse, 2 months after, the mouse started to double click. I followed exactly a guide provided by their website FAQ who was supposed to fix it, that bricked my mouse. Now it’s a back and forth in email with them telling me to try to fix it myself with some instructions that don’t work even if I wanted to send them the keyboard and the mouse, get a refund or something to begin with.
Yes because my keyboard bricked too thanks to one of their instructions and I’m now waiting a whole day every time for an answer.

Not even trying to wait a whole day every time just to get instructions again. At this point I’m just going to buy a new mouse and keyboard somewhere else.
Lost 155€, thanks !!

I was a little scared to order …

I was a little scared to order because of all the bad reviews here.

But I fell in love with the MyMelody set so I ordered it with the valentine sale. The mousepad said: Coming soon. so I emailed customer service and they replied letting me know when they expect that one to come in. Very fast and nice reply.

The keyboard and mouse I received today as scheduled. The quality and look Is just AMAZING! I'm typing this review on my new keyboard and I'm just in love. Fits perfect in my pink/White set-up.

would recommend Akko gear and would order again.

Cutiest and comfy design for mac and pc

The company is making people suffer by sending incomplete products!!!

I bought 3 keyboards and 3 boxes of switches from here. When the company sent the first package, I waited 15 days and only 1 keyboard came out. I mentioned this to the company and they said it was a mistake and they would send all the products this time. However, I waited again for 15 days and when I received the package, I realized that there was 1 keyboard missing and wrote to the company. The company told me that the product was out of stock and they did not even try to compensate even though it was their fault. They refunded the fee on their own without asking me. They kept us waiting for 1 month and still did not deliver the product.. They make fun of people's minds. Instead of sending even a different model product for the same price, they just refunded the price without notice. They constantly sent incomplete products. I don't recommend it to anyone.The product they told me was out of stock is still in stock but they did not send it to me. Such a company.

I wanted to get a refund for a 200€…

I wanted to get a refund for a 200€ keyboard and the customer support offered me 10€ partial refund and I would have to keep the product. WTF man, I insisted 3 times and finally they gave me the refund. What a s****y way to handle a refund

Don't shop from these guys

Do yourself a favour and never purchase anything from this company.

The keyboard I purchased was faulty within the first week, and after several attempts of trying to fix it I asked for a refund, to which they refused.
You get nothing but copy-paste generic non-helpful replies from them, and I'm stuck with a keyboard that doesn't work .

Unresolved Delivery Issue and Inadequate Customer Support for Keyboard Purchase

I ordered a full-size keyboard from AKKO on March 30, 2024. The tracking provided by YANWEN (number UJ374534235YP) indicated that the package was delivered on April 11, 2024, claiming it was left in my mailbox. However, given the size of the keyboard, it is physically impossible for it to have fit into my mailbox, and no signature was required for the delivery, which leaves no verifiable proof that the package was actually received.

Despite multiple attempts to resolve this issue with AKKO’s support team, the responses have been repetitive and unhelpful, directing me back to the local post office, which has already confirmed they can do nothing further without a signature requirement. It has been over a month, and the issue remains unresolved, without any offer of a reshipment or refund.

This experience has been quite frustrating due to the lack of effective customer support and resolution from AKKO.

not recommended

my experience with the official akko site has been all negative. I ordered a set of keycaps and a switch tester. after they sent it, there was an issue with dhl and the address was not correct. I received an email telling me that I should deal with this ... myself ... but no clear steps were provided. I order to the specified address all the time and I know it is correct so basically akko told me to 'deal with it' and bviously they cannot write an address correctly. I did nothing and ordered a set of GMK keycaps from a different company. I have yet to receive a refund from akko and it has been more than a month. I would stay away from this company as they have no idea what they are doing and support is non existent. might be just a polished scam.
