Regular stock items

My problem is that you go into the store and expect to buy your usual list....only to find out that they are out of a few items this week. When you asked, they have no idea when the items will be in. They say they have no control on what is ordered and what is coming on the next truck. A Manager said that it is "Always a surprise when the truck is unloaded". After the product is a no show for a couple of weeks, they finally tell you that the item has been discontinued.
Many low cost items are getting replaced with more upscale, name brand items at regular grocery store prices.

I was a Store Manager at Aldi in Rochester NY

I worked at Aldi in Rochester NY. As a Store Manager, it’s a revolving door of mediocre employees that will never work as had as Aldi requires, not for $18-20.
You are constantly asked to do more with less, and if your store is slow that week, be prepared to go home. Hours are cut if the sales are not present. Full time is 35-38 hours, you will almost never see OT. Aldi would rather have the store get trashed, empty boxes everywhere with empty shelves before using OT to replenish. That’s why your the Store Manager, you’ll be expected to make up the difference yourself even though your salary and already Required to work 50 hrs on that salary. You get the idea, be prepared to spend 55+ there weekly. Late trucks, Employees that are present but not going to deliver unrealistically high performance standards. Messy, Chaotic stores with no plan from upper management. When you ask the question to them, you get “Welcome to Aldi”. DMs are useless, right out of college. They’ve never worked in the store. That’s actually exactly right! They do not promote Store Management to DM, your ceiling is Store Manager and being dictated too by a college student with no clue. They will not lift a finger to help you, rather, they will micromanage you daily.
But, your groceries are cheap. So they have that going for them.

Rude cashier

The cashier at the aldi in Blairsville GA she was rude older lady there didn't have a quarter at the time she made me stand up there and wait at register only wanted change sometimes you forget she treat me poorly maybe put a change machine in there if she doesn't want to help customers the manger there came from food loin in blue ridge GA he is a good person maybe teach her something on top of that she said I took her cart well I'm handicapped What if someone treated her mom like that

I love Aldi (and Trader Joe's)

I love Aldi (and Trader Joe's), but I shop mostly at Aldi. They've upgraded their stores to provide a very nice shopping experience...and GREAT PRICES.

NOW THE REASON FOR THIS REVIEW: I am now a CRUNCHY PEANUT DELIGHT aficionado. I've been hooked on JIF Crunchy from Sam's, two jars/purchase, but yesterday I bought the CRUNCHY Peanut Delight...and now it's my FAVORITE.

I was late picking up purchased items, I recd txt msg to click link in txt to let them know I was there. The msg led me no where to announce my arrival. I called Instacart sr hlp line they said go to customer svc. The store hd no cust svc, I asked an employee stocking veggies, he was rude and not able (willing) to hlp he said. I asked fr mgr, he said he was the mgr. I asked fr my order, he said he cldnt gv me my order unless I indicated I hd arrived. He got ruder as time went on and walked away. I followed, he finally asked my name, went to the bk and brot me my order. Absolutely abysmal treatment, this man shd be fired and replaced by someone trained to treat ppl as worthy of manners !!!

I love Aldi's and there delivery…

I love Aldi's and there delivery service. The drivers commute with you when they are on there way and do not leave groceries sitting in the lobby like Walmart does cuz they get stolen. I give Aldi's a 5 all the way across the bored.

I am over all an aldi fan. prices are better overall and there are some things i will only buy there. But today when i went to my local aldi there are now a number of self-checkouts. was one difference i appreciated compared to others. so, i am not a fan of self-check outs. so impersonal and not a good look for aldi

I always shop at Aldi and am usually very happy with the store.
My store is: 4251 Oceanside Blvd, Oceanside, CA 92056
Last Saturday, the cashier did not have a cart available at the register to temporarily place items while checking out, I asked if she had a cart available and she told me: "NO". She was very rude in my interaction with her. She piled up all my items in front of her and clearly it was no space without a cart to count everything. I came to my car, looked at the receipt and noticed I was overcharged for a small item like $0.69 but still I bought 2 and was charged for 3. I had to come back and tell the cashier she just overcharged me, she looked at the receipt without saying anything just handed me the coins. Since I was back in the store; I browsed a bit more and found a small item I could use for a gift to my customers for $2.39. I got 4 boxes, waited in line, and purchased them. On the way to my car, I saw my receipt said $3.99 each. All of this is not even a big deal, but I thought I was buying these for $2.39 as a price tag advertised under them. I had to go back and ask the cashier MARIA as she told me her name was (she was not wearing any name tag), why this was charged at the wrong price? She went back to the aisle with me and was clearly inconvenienced by me even questioning the price. Her answer was that someone placed the price in the wrong place, and it was not the same item, at the same time there was no price tag for the item I purchased. She didn't apologize for the inconvenience or anything like that, simply was rude and very unpleasant. Horrible customer service, she also mentioned she is the manager of the store. A very poor level of customer service, the way she handled this situation is unacceptable. I usually love shopping at Aldi and normally the customer service is great. I returned all 4 sets because I was charged the wrong price as it was advertised at the isle. Not once, but twice she overcharged me. Simply unpleasant experience that could be easily turned around by the right employee.

Drove over 1/2 to pick up our groceries…

Drove over 1/2 to pick up our groceries and they gave us someone else's order. We got home and they said they would credit our account and to keep the groceries we were given which was stuff we would never order. I told them we would not be able to shop again for another week and we should get OUR order for free because of the fact we drove all the way there and would have to go without our food for a week because of work. The money never went back to our account, and they just applied the money to the next order. I was stuck talking to a person I couldn't understand I ask to speak with a, manager or 2nd tier customer service they gave me a lot of double talk. They told me the manger would call me back and they never called. NOTHING!
They state on their website 100 percent satisfaction guaranteed. We are NOT satisfied period. This is supposed to be a reliable service for busy people or sick people to get food on the table. If they can't provide that service, they should be responsible for the gas time and price of the order lost!
This was an Aldi order and we tried to reach out to the store, but they have NO phone number and no way of contact but email.
Boo to Aldis too! Wow!

"Plan to Fail" - Online exclusive shopping

Bought some “online exclusive boots.
Returned unused later to the Aldi Sandhurst store as per the Aldi receipt instructions...
On arrival at the store queued for a cashier who had no idea how to process the return.
Called the duty manager (Martin) who also had no idea how to process the return. He went away to find out and then said he didnt know how to return the item so I would need to return via post / courier.
Frustrated I called Aldi online team customer services while still waiting in the store. Aqeela appeared well trained and apologised profusely but said - you can't return exclusive offers via the store, despite the Aldi return instructions!
After 35 minutes in store and Aqeela’s repeated apologies, our online call handler and her supervisor confirmed this problem has happened many times before and with no "good will gesture" eg arranging a store refund as this was not their policy / procedure despite Aldi’s written return instructions...
Perhaps it is best to avoid the online side of Aldi as no training has been offered to their stores and their return instructions are factually incorrect.
I will return via the post office / courier - Such a shame as the concept could have worked with more planning and better execution.

RIsking job here

RIsking job here, but as a delivery driver for Aldi- your warehouse in Tully sucks! Poorly stacked and wrapped pallets that do NOT make it to stores is just the beginning. No availability of dock doors or jacks because Lumper crew takes them all. After 10pm, the entire parking lot and dock area is a disaster! I'm a 13 year veteran and it just keeps getting worse! New hires quit after training cuz its so bad. Their quitting makes more work for us others. PLEASE make adjustments to receiving and outgoing pallet quality! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD AND DRIVER SANITY! Please

Aldi invades Privacy

I have been shopping at the Alsi in Boiling Springs, SC for three years and was taken aside by the manager because I asked a cashier if they thought circumcsion of a baby was evil. Yesterday bought a small three dollar bootle of red wine and was carded by the cashire.Now I think at my age 77 I surely do-not look 20. What was her excuse, to get my name and address? Very disturbing

Stanelle a cashier at the Wappingers…

Stanelle a cashier at the Wappingers Falls, NY location was very rude. I visited on 08/04/2022. Stanelle yelled at my 4-year-old son with disabilities just because he started coughing. I then said to her he does not understand, he is autistic, and she went on to say how if he was being taught he would know how to properly cough. I have been going to Aldi for years and I am sick to my stomach now. This is just a quick synopsis. The manager was no help either, he was so nonchalant about it when I explained what happened, he just said, "Okay, I'll speak to her later" and walked away. Mind you, this happened in front of dozens of people.

online ordering deplorable along with customer services

made an order on 14th July 2022 and confirmed it would be delivered by 21st July which was not received not even dispatched phone customer services did not know where it was then phone put down on me. Had to make a call three times to aldi customer services. Not received an email from the courier evri. could not track the order 8 days after the order had been placed.
Aldi then send an updated email stating that it was in progress and a link to evri website with a tracking number but one item now missing from the order but have taken the full amount of the order from my bank account on the 18th July 2022.
imput the tracking number on evri website, still cant track the order and now the order is overdue for delivery.
Have now sent an email to them informing them of the missing item on the order and also informing them of my rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and that they are now in breach of these rights. I have also requested a refund for the missing item and also for the rest of the order as I have not received the order.
I would have given no stars if this was possible, aldi online ordering service and their customer service operators are absolutely appalling and do not know what they are doing and just pay you lip service in the hope that you will go away.
Would not order from aldi online ever again

Half order from Aldi arrives.

Half order from Aldi arrives. I contact the company and they promise to send rest of order. I am informed they had sent it to an address we hadn't lived in for 8 months. I phoned and was cut ff three times and they assured me the delivery address would be altered. I have now received an e mail saying they cannot change delivery and I must refuse delivery even though I now live 360 miles away. Aldi contact service is deplorabe and not fit for purpose.
