Do not buy reading glasses from Alensa if you are in UK or Ireland.
If you are in Ireland / U.K. do not order reading glasses from Alensa.ie though website clearly offers reading glass option, this doesn't work for UK/Irish customers. I ordered a pair of reading glasses, I submitted my original prescription, but received a pair of distance glases. When I complained they said this "...issue is exclusive to UK/IE , and our opticians often can not spot this ,as they process hundreds of prescriptions a day."
They say they cannot commence taking any action to remedy until after they receive the glasses back... be that a refund or a correct replacement... even though they acknowledge that this is a system fault on their part. They acknowledge this in their reply to this review... so they make the mistake, but I must prove my bona fides before they will even start the replacement process.
UPDATE: the DHL return label they sent does not work and is not accepted by An Post or the DHL syste, What a catch 22. They will not act until I return the items, but then make it too expensive to return the items by sending a faulty return label.
Very indifferent customer service. There are far better service providers available.

We take this complaint very seriously ,and we will do everything we can to resolve it swiftly. Unfortunately ,to be able to provide a solution ,we do need you to send us the glasses back ,as we do not currently have any other way of dealing with the instance of such problem. While we do understand it may cause significant hardships on your side ,we will try to be as swift and resolute as possible while addressing and fixing the issue with your glasses. Our customer support has already provided you with a free return label and instructions for you to return your glasses ,and our colleagues have been notified ,so that they could begin working on the problem as soon as the glasses are received back.
We do apologize deeply for any and all inconveniences caused .
