I invested in the Regents Plaza development in Salford, Manchester through Alesco, based on assurances from James Needham—now Managing Director—who repeatedly described it as a “bulletproof investment.” He emphasized that Alesco rigorously vets its developers and claimed Sourced Development Group was among the most reputable in the country.

The development was originally scheduled for completion in December 2020. That date was pushed to 2021, and since then, the long stop date has been missed multiple times. The most recent communication stated that Block D is now expected to complete in Q4 2026—over six years behind schedule.

What’s worse, I’ve now discovered that Regents Plaza Holding, the company that took our deposits to pass on to Sourced Development, has gone into administration. Unsurprisingly, both entities share the same management. It’s clear they’re using convoluted corporate structures to deflect responsibility and bury investor funds without consequence.

Alesco’s role in this cannot be ignored. You were not just a passive introducer—you were instrumental in promoting this scheme and reassuring investors of its credibility. I am demanding clear answers:

What due diligence was actually conducted on Sourced Development Group?

Why were investors not informed of the risks or the shared management between entities?

What steps is Alesco taking to protect investors now that the holding company is in administration?

This situation is not just a delay—it’s a breach of trust and a financial betrayal. I expect a prompt and transparent response.
