I was really pleased with the experience of Laser Eye surgery as provided by Alex Day (part of the Moorfields Private Eye Hospital). The consultation was personalized and felt for my benefit rather than for maximum revenue - unlike the larger chains.
Likewise the actual procedure and aftercare were very professional; my sight is back to where it used to be.
Will definitely go back if needed in the future.

Alex is a fantastic surgeon that takes the time to understand his patients. His calm nature puts you at ease throughout the whole process. I would not trust anyone else to perform surgery on my eyes. The staff he works alongside are always really friendly and helpful. Aurelia (His practise Manager) takes the time to really get to know you and answer any questions you may have. Everyday I am thankful that I chose Moorfields and got paired with such an incredible team.

This has to be the most reassuringly professional laser eye treatment available. And when the level of long term care is considered it is also best value ever. Dr Day and his team are ridiculously professional, use a panoply of the latest equipment and are extremely thorough - both before treatment and afterwards. Quite apart from that Dr Day and his team are very pleasant to deal with. And the results to my eyesight? Incredible - my eyesight is now better than 20:20 - I didn't even know that was possible!

From the initial check up, I was given 3 different checks by 3 sets of opticians when they learnt that I travelled from Exeter to London to save extra journey. Dr. Day is absolutely amazing, very polite, knowledgeable, easy to talk to. The whole process made me determined to proceed with Alex, rather than a highstreet provider I consulted the same time. And the cost with Alex is no more than the quote I received from the high street so there really is no reason to not to go with Alex.

The surgery itself is smooth (LASIK), I was nervous and panic a lot to begin with, but the whole surgery team massively calmed me down by how professional they are. And Alex talked you through the whole process, which helped a lot.

The next day, my eyes are already better than 20/20, and since then I realized my glasses never corrected me well enough regardless. My eyesight is never better, especially my night vision. I enjoy driving at night now cuz I am like an owl hunting at night. I can see so much so clearly. It almost feels like I am stealing someone else’s life to live on.

I've now had cataract surgery done on both eyes by Mr Day, first one three years ago. Mr Day's knowledge and professionalism are admirable. He provided advice on both lens implants and treatment and guided me all the way. He was always very patient to answer all my questions and concerns. Both surgeries went smooth at Moorfields Hospital London with Mr Day being present from the hospital admission to the discharge and he even call me over the phone personally to check on me in the first 24 hours. He also has built a very strong professional team around him that was very helpful and kind. If you want highly skilled surgeon and a hustle free reassuring process I highly recommend Mr Day.

Mr Day explained the whole entire procedure at length and made me feel very at ease with what it would be like and how it would be achieved. Together with the options I could choose and the negatives and positives for each.
I did not feel pressured to make a decision and in fact, it took me 10 months to get my head around what it would entail. The procedure was swift and the nursing staff are amazing. I could not fault anything. The end result is better than expected. Thank you

The entire team both at Mr Day's office and the Moorfields hospital team are all fantastic.
Mr Day answers all your questions and gives you honest expectations and recommendations. On surgery day he talks you through the whole process and makes sure you are comfortable and relaxed. Follow up appointments ensure that everything is healing as expected. This is a very well run practice and Mr Day is a fantastic surgeon.

LASIK laser surgery

Mr Day and all the staff at Moorfields were very professional and explained all the options clearly and succinctly. During the surgery I was kept informed at all times of what was happening . The aftercare has been brilliant .

I can't think of a way in which my experience could have been improved. I felt well prepared for the LASEK operation and recovery process which took almost exactly 7 days. I now have better than 20/20 vision.

I had a free consultation from another provider a couple of weeks before I consulted with Mr Day. The experience wasn't nearly as good, however, I did appreciate having a point of reference when evaluating Mr Day's services, and it was helpful to already be aware of some of the terms used and know which questions to ask going into it.
