WOW !!! I've had the most brilliant results ! My eyesight was rapidly failing due to cataracts. The recommended procedure was lens replacement surgery on both eyes, with a 2 week gap between each so the first eye could settle then, the second eye could be adjusted to work in harmony with the first. I was initially offered the choice of 'threading a needle' or 'driving at night'. My priority was driving at night and was happy to maybe have to wear a pair of mild readers as a compromise (I don't need any at all !!). Well, I'm delighted that as well as being able to drive at night with no issues, I could probably thread a sewing machine while it's running !! My results have been 'off the chart' and I couldn't be happier. I followed all the instructions and advice to the letter to give myself the best opportunity for a good outcome and it was so worth a couple of weeks of mild inconvenience for such a phenomenal result. Mr Day - and his PA, Aurelia - have been wonderful. Both kind & patient and, listened to my needs & concerns. No question is considered silly and everything is explained with care. The procedure itself is very quick and there really was only the mildest discomfort - I can actually say that I enjoyed it ! Alex Day is truly the best of the best and, I would scream recommendations from the rooftops. You really are in the safest hands X

Excellent LASIK.

Dr. Alex is excellent at communicating everything to me. I felt comforted by his explanations and guidance throughout the consultation process, and particularly during the surgery itself. During the surgery, Dr. Alex told me in details everything that was happening (what he was about to do, what I should expect to see/feel, etc), which was important during such vulnerable moment.

During the pre and post surgery consultation, Dr. Alex has been very patient with answering all of my questions and doubts. He really takes the time to make sure I leave the room with no lingering questions.

The staff are also very friendly and they seem very knowledgable and competent. I was given a visual guide document on the day of the surgery, listing out all the medications and the times to take them, which was extremely useful and I wish this was the standard practice. The practice manager (Aurelia Iarca) has been very helpful at making sure I have everything I need (medications, paperwork, etc), and scheduling my next visits.

Overall, I'm very happy to have gone to this practice for my LASIK. The only downside is that the queue can be pretty long, but to me this is a minor trade off for the quality of care.

My lens replacement surgery experience has been brilliant. Mr Alex Day has given me perfect eyesight and a new lifestyle without glasses or contact lenses after 40 years of very poor vision. It’s incredible what he has done. I would 100% recommend this procedure and this surgeon.

Day of the surgery was also excellent, felt like they (Mr. Day and Aurelia) really cared about your experience and you weren’t just on a production line. Amazing experience with Dr. Day. Very professional, all information about my surgery (LASIK for myopia and astigmatism correction) was provided to me clearly, I was made to feel very safe during the actual surgery and Dr. Day in particular made sure that I didn't feel too nervous by explaining every step while operating on me. Shoutout to his team as well, the results are really fantastic and I really recommend this practice to anyone looking to get their vision corrected!

From start to finish, the experience was good. Aurelia, Alex Day’s assistant was very helpful and friendly. Post op she was always available by phone for any questions I had.
Alex Day is a very nice man, as well as great surgeon. From consultation to procedure, I felt I was in professional hands and that he wanted the best outcome for me. The procedure itself was quick and recovery painless apart from dry eyes, which I suffered pre procedure. My sight is now back to what I had when I was younger. No more glasses apart from very small print and maybe when reading a book to avoid tired eyes. I am just 4weeks in and my sight will improve still over the next 3 months.

Excellent service and treatment including follow up call from Dr Day after each surgery was assuring.

I had positive experience during my left eye cataract operation on 16/10/2023. All members of Mr Day's team were polite friendly and helpful.
I feel Mr day explained Technicalities which I understood well.
I think he is a very good surgeon and I will have no hesitation to recommend him to my friends and family.
My only negative experience is that my operated eye is not fully recovered yet which I have written to his secretary on 12/12/2023 for Mr Day's advice.

On the follow up on 23/11/2023 I was delighted to have excellent eye test results.

My entire experience with Alex Day and his team was professional, relaxed and efficient.
Everyone was very friendly and helpful- I felt able to ask anything however small. The actual procedure was performed with great consideration for my possible nervousness and everything was explained clearly as it went along.
If there was anything that was not a 5 star rating it would be the food which was a little disappointing.
I would recommend mr Day and his team in a heartbeat.

Nothing but positive things to say about Alex Day and the team. I chose to have TransPRK which is a longer recovery time than normal LASIK.

I'm about 2hrs drive away from London but I chose Moorfields for their reputation, and you can't really compromise when it comes to your sight.

Alex took the time to explain the process in my initial consultation and reassure me throughout the pre-checkups and post checkups. Aurelia and the rest of the team were always friendly and easy to talk to, even calling to check up on how I was doing after the surgery.

After my 3 month post-op check, I've healed without issues and I can now see better than 20/20!

Have already recommended not only the procedure but specifically the surgeon to other colleagues within the medical field. Whilst the procedure isn't for everyone and isn't without risk, it is being in the hands of someone more confidence in complication management that is a real differentiator.
