SCAM, beware!
I asked them to work for me on Upwork, because supposedly they had 100% feedback and had earned over 100k from their work on the platform.
I just wanted a new template for my website, plus some minor custom stuff. I estimated work time 10-15hrs. They said 50hrs and although I was skeptical I complied. Then they ended up asking for 100hrs, then they said 150...
What happened was that they made a spoof "backup" of my website, that included only 10% of my actual information and files and they made a "new website", presenting me a mockup page that looked ok, apart from the lack of content which they assured me would be fixed in the actual website.
The result?? What they gave me was a naked Wordpress page, no website, to template applied. After me and my new webmaster complained, they uploaded the template. Still 90% of information missing, all pages broken, all images distorted or broken, or missing. My website had been hacked for 6 months and they didn't tell me anything. They were pretending to work.
After I paid them a grand total of 500$, they gave me something impossible to use, as 90% of my info was missing. Out of 20 shop products, I now have just 4. Out of 50 blog posts, I have 2, out of 50 news articles, I have 3 and so on...
They refused to give money back and keep on victim blaming me to this day.
Not only do I not have a website, I also suffer a huge damage due to lost information for my business. They deserve to go to jail.
