Chloe has been amazing at getting appointments sorted and emailing me back very quickly, very helpful and kind in her responses.
The work Rob has done in the bathroom has set my mind at ease and I am very happy with the result.

The only reason we went through with our house. Is the location and other residents on the estate, who are the best people myself and my partner have come across.
We part-exchanged and we had a 24hr notice of completion. If it wasn’t for the constant communication with our mortgage broker & solicitor, Allison Homes would have delayed us further.
We had the new buyers of our old property turn up at our doorstep, swearing and shouting because of zero communication from Allison Homes.
4 months after moving in, we still haven’t got our double- drop curb, no block paved road in front of us, just had our French drains installed (which has ruined our garden, awaiting for the landscapers to come fix the garden) … list goes on! Plus don’t expect a notice of things happening, the traders will turn up whenever. Plus they park on your drive without a care in the world. Rude, careless people!
The old site manager Darren was the only person who helped and gave us updates. It’s a massive shame he’s gone!
Only positive is our house hasn’t had many snags and is one of the good ones. Some of our friends have had no heating, leaks and all sorts.
Do not buy a house from these cowboys! Unless you want to live in Laceby.
So after 13 months we are finally in our home, a quick honest review of our experience is below ⬇️.
We originally reserved in June last year and used Allison Homes Part Exchange programme. Without that we wouldn’t have moved, I think we have taken for granted how easy this had made our lives and was the best thing we could have done. Allison Homes offered us a good price for our existing house and we was able to stay in the current house until completion day, continuing to pay the existing mortgage, no money wasted on moving fees and renting, and saving on estate agent fees. Over the year that added up to a substantial saving.
We upgraded various items in the new house, the process for this is that quotes are sent to head office and then returned once quoted. At times quotes took a long time to come back. I think this is mainly because Allison homes is growing quite rapidly they was unable to process quotes speedily as they would be doing this for all sites. I think what would be ideal is that upgrades be pre quoted for all house types, or even potentially a brochure with upgrade options like other developers which would save a lot of time.
Reserving off-plan is always daunting, fortunately for us our model was the show home and we saw that being built ahead of ours, the show how included a render panel on the side of the house which really put us off the house (it was rather ugly) and we even thought about pulling out. We discussed this with Jackie who liaised with head office and it was agreed that it was to be omitted from the plans, we really appreciated this as we didn’t like the feature, it was reassuring that Allison homes listened to our concerns and addressed them to keep us happy.
We finally completed at the end of July after a couple of delays, the delays we accepted albeit frustrating. Fortunately because we part exchanged this wasn’t too much of a problem, and we accepted the reasons, mainly labour shortages and supply chain issues. Our mortgage did expire, so please be aware of your mortgage time line, extensions and expiry date and keep an eye on it, evolve (mortgage broker) were a little bit hit and miss and once you have your initial offer, they tend to take a back seat.
We got a professional snagger in to do the snagging for us, which highlighted some typical expected snags, a door and glass needed replacing, some painting, replacement kitchen cupboards, some cracked render, reselling in areas among other things. But I can honestly say that after care so far has been brilliant. Paula has been on the case for us and the after care team have dealt with most of the issues in really good time.
Over the last 13 months we built up a relationship with Jackie who was brilliant and more than helpful throughout the whole process and became a regular friendly face for our weekly (sometimes twice weekly 🤣) jaunts to check on progress. Jackie was always happy to see us and kept us updated when she had any new information, Jackie addressed all of our concerns throughout the process and I think she was secretly sad when we completed because she won’t be seeing us as much! She helped us make our dream home become a reality, even if our options meeting extended over full day almost (sorry!). Thank you Jackie.
We are very happy with our home and would recommend Allison Homes to any prospective purchaser.
****Public service announcement****
NOBODY touch Allison homes with a barge pole. They’re quick to sell their houses and demand that you exchange contracts within 12 weeks to make you legally bound and stuck with their incompetence but actually can’t build the houses they’ve sold!!!
We were supposed to be in our house in April and we have been delayed until September!!!
Their service is absolutely disgusting and they have absolutely no control over their sites, can’t even keep control of some children getting on and breaking into to their barely built properties…
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THIS JOKE OF A COMPANY!!!
