Wonderful people and wonderful experience.
Buying a new home can be stressful especially when all you hear are new build issues but I can happily say it has been so easy. They have been wonderful from the sale to moving in and onwards from that. After looking around the site many times as it was being build we were shown so much of the process by the site manager Stuart and after moving in we have had so much help from Brandon after the house was built. They are always happy even though most workers are self employed they are happy to be there
The house we choose was already finished so only took from deposit end april to completion June.
On our first evening husband took a shower it was very noisy , and then I noticed we had water in living room , all over the ceiling around the windows, everywhere.had to call emergency plumber he cut the water off and arrange for someone to come the next day. We couldn't use the bathroom for more than a week or the living room.
It all got sorted and repainted etc but all this money we spent for that to happen.
Also we took banister protector off they were holes in it. Garden slabs were wobblery, grass was very uneven with holes , hole where gravel should of been near fence.
The house itself is lovely.
The snag man came I was told he would look round and pick faults but he didn't I had to tell him that so far we had found wrong.
This was in 2023

Terrible service. After sales agreed a job today they declined it.
They have zero integrity, the smile is there until you are locked in and as long as you do not speak up.
Sales do not respect feedback, lie and cause your life hell if you speak up. Sales and site managers agree different incentive, so if you have a demo with a site manager and ask for a change, they tend to honour it but then sales deny it becuse it was not recorded by them.
Complaints team does nothing apart from delegate emails.
They work as a team, thats as far as the 'family' values goes. You can't escalate matters, senior roles hide behind the scene or just don't respond.
Unfortuntaly, i already brought a house from Davidsons with endless snags and a poor post completion service.
Quality is another question. I've stood in other developments where the noise does not pass into the house from outside but Davidsons its does, feels like someone is standing in your room talking whilst all the windows are closed. Any house can be made to look wow.
You are paying a premium for everything to look shiney...for a few months.
Stay away, waste that extra money on a house where you can live happily... once you are in the property, not when you are viewing. You will remain a customer for another 2 years, the service will significantly decline.
In response to Davidsons, i will no longer email any depts...if you are interested for feedback gather the information and read the above. I will not be treated to be ignored because I have spoken the truth and believe in fairness including providing constructive feedback to then experience a collective behaviour from the sales teams, extending to further teams...post completion, site managers. Feedback was given to ensure others don't experience the same...but I was then targeted.
As advised by your complaints team, I will be raising my complaint externally. I should not had the need to leave a negative review in order to be heard...as for a family run business, shame the owners are not interested in service/fairness and integrity of their staff, just profit. Clearly they do not work closely with complaints.

Our home (Lubenham View Estate) had very poor quality with far too many defects. Unfortunately it will take many months and lots of disruption, just to get the property in a condition you would expect at the time of legal completion.

Bought a Davidson house and had several issues, from leaking bathroom which we didn't realise for over 2 years as we were just 2 in the house and never had to use the second bathroom until when we had a baby, only to realise damp ceiling months later in the toilet directly under the bathroom. Davidson refused to take responsibility for this poor worksmanship, claiming we should fix it ourselves because its just past 2 year mark.
More crazy was them returning 7 years later to installed a dropped kerb for pedestrian crossing right infront of our front door, without prior warning or notice. No other house in the estate has this issue. We just returned from work as saw crossing in front of our door, and despite trying to appeal to common sense, they refused to listen and correct it, even to the detriment of the safety of whoever pedestrians who might try to use it, as the crossing happen to be in the reversing path and blind spot cars maneuvering and reversing out of our driveway. Laura thier engineering manager replied and made it clear that they Davidson do not care about thier customers. They dont owe us prior warning or consultation and will not try to reason with us on possible resolution/relocation of the crossing. No evidences showed as to the safety audits and considerations they made to decide where to install a crossing, even after requesting this. All they are worried about is getting the road adopted by the local council and dont care about any customer reservations or safety risks identified. So the construction must continue!.
I will not recommend this developer and will advise not purchasing any of thier properties as their duty of care for customers is zero for a company that tries to position itself as prime builder.

They installed a crossing at my door step making it a meeting point and refused to remove it. I haha went to work one day and came back home to a crossing. No consultation no notice, the dog goes crazy every minute, the kids are agitated, I can’t sleep well at night and all this happens 7 years after buying the property. They dismissed all my concerns and said they don’t care about how I feel and that they will do as the wish
Updating after their reply, I already contacted customer service and raised a complaint but your customer service and complaint procedure is a joke. Absolutely terrible, very horrible feedback and customer service team. The so called customer service even said it to my face that we don’t care how you feel we will do whatever we need to do whenever we need to do it. They will smile at you when selling you a house but after you pay then you will see their true horrible colours. I would never advise my enemy to even accept a free house from Davidson’s homes

We purchased our first home with Davidson Homes this year. From the very start Sharon the sales manager at Thorpebury in the Limes, Leicester, was very attentive to my husband and my needs and answered all our questions and reassured us and checked in with us throughout the whole process from looking at plot to where our new family home was to be build to allowing us to view it’s construction right through to my family moving in on day one. The whole process was really simple and Sharon put us at ease and was always there for us every step of the way. The best customer service we received from Sharon and her team! Thank you Sharon! Sharon is truly a gem. I highly recommend Davidsons Homes

A customer of David Wilson, now Davidsons for 30 years. We have just bought our third house from this builder on their Gotham Blackberry Gardens estate and moved in November 2025. The build quality is excellent, of course as with all new builds there are snagging issues which have been dealt with promptly and without issue. A shout out to Dave the site manager for his help and advice and Jacko for his attention to detail and excellent job done. We love it here. Definitely recommend.

We’ve had such a wonderful experience with the sales team at Davidsons at Thorpbury in the Lime, especially Sharon, who has been absolutely lovely throughout the entire process. From start to finish, everything was handled so smoothly, and we always felt supported and well-informed.
Sharon and the team went above and beyond to make our move-in day as nice as possible, even welcoming us with a thoughtful gift that included several items we were able to use on our very first day – such a kind and personal touch that really meant a lot.
Any snagging issues we had were dealt with efficiently and were all sorted within two months. Throughout this time, the team remained incredibly helpful, approachable, and responsive, which made the whole experience stress-free and reassuring.
We genuinely couldn’t have asked for better service and are so grateful for the care and attention we received. Thank you to Sharon and the entire team for making our journey to our new home such a positive one

Kelly is amazing! She was so helpful, patient and kind! She answered all of our questions, took us to all the houses we wanted to see, answered even more questions and did this with a big smile on her face! It’s obvious that she loves what she’s doing!

BEWARE. I bought a four year old Davidson Home from the original purchaser. I downsized from a considerably larger property and did so to reduce upkeep and energy costs, however, THIS HOUSE IS FREEZING AND COSTING MORE MONEY TO HEAT THAN THE PREVIOUS ONE!!! Given their apparent ‘better than most’ reputation it seemed a no brainer but their guarantees are meaningless. We are not the original purchaser which means we don’t have any for fixtures and fittings even if we were its only two years. Ten years NHBC they say is structural which doesn’t apparently include windows and doors. The FENSA guarantee for the windows is relative but NOT when they say their supplier went bust. They won’t give me the companies name or address to back it up either. It took months to get an Energy Performance Certificate out of them during the purchase. Now I know why. It seems they rely on generic certification which gives then carte blanche to fit any old rubbish to save them money. There are serious draughts coming through the windows and we are freezing and paying a fortune to NOT be warm, They want nothing to do with it. If you are in one of these houses or considering buying one you should be VERY careful.
Oh and just received the standard letter everyone on here received. It means NOTHING. Rubbish the lot of it!!!!

I wanted to take a minute to put a positive review for Davidsons as I know it's often the few people who have had a negative experience who write these.
The quality of the Biddenham properties are great, with good sized rooms, parking and walls that are not paper thin. The finish has been excellent down to the mastic and painting. The staff are helpful, and the aftercare team very reasonable and responsive. We love it in this estate.

We had an average experience with Davidsons to begin with, dealing with Anouska in the sales office. Once she left the company and we started dealing with Kelly and Brendan, the site manager, things went much smoother and a feeling of Davidsons being against us was changed to one of harmony.

We have found Davidsons, especially Richard the Sales Manager, to be helpful at every turn even through a period when our house sale fell through.
We are very pleased with our house, the build quality is good, and backed up by very good after sales service. I would recommend Davidsons Homes to other home buyers

Had trouble selling our old home but Davidsons couldn't have been better, helping us through it. We've been in 2 months now and our new is great. The after sales service is excellent, only a few teething problems and those are all being sorted quickly, all the trades respect the property and are very friendly, couldn't ask for more, thanks to all.

What a place and people. My son and daughter in law bought their first home and the people were so nice. Brandon and Stuart are the 2 nicest site managers we could have asked for. Any issue they have helped them out massively. The sales ladies have also made me want to look at buying due to their kindness and how welcoming they were. I will 1000% recommend them and I am so happy for my son and daughter in law all thanks to 5 people at Davidsons sunloch meadows.

Sunloch meadows- Great experience from picking up the keys! Extra thanks to Brendan who went the extra mile from the home demo, to helping with any issues big or small after moving in! Him and his team deserve a special thank you!

I’ve recently purchased my first home at Sunloch Meadows and trusted Davidsons in the process. Despite initially not being too impressed with the first salesperson I saw, I did take a second visit after speaking to Kelly. Kelly couldn’t have been more brilliant in this process and really restored my confidence in Davidsons. If I had a question about anything minor, she would call the site manager straight away or make a note and come back to me with the info. This made it so much less stressful than everyone was preparing me for.
I did use their recommended solicitor and mortgage advisor and this was mainly so I could get things done as swift as possible. Every person in the process has been efficient, helpful and easy to talk to and there were no unexpected delays. The house wasn’t rushed up like I’ve seen new builds done, which gave me a level of confidence that they were methodical in their building and inspecting. The date I was given to aim for (prior to Christmas) when I decided to purchase in October didn’t change, and I got the keys on Schedule on Friday 12th. - again, nice and smooth with no delays.
Since getting the keys just under a week ago, I have picked up on a couple of bits but Brenden the site manager has been more than helpful in getting things sorted without delay. I’ve seen other reviewers mentioning a long wait for Davidsons to get people out to fix things and although that may happen when they have finished phase 2 and left site, my experience so far has been excellent. We noticed the waste pipe for the washer dryer wasn’t right so I couldn’t install the machine as planned, Brendan and Stuart (site managers) were straight around to look at it, and when they saw the fitting wasn’t correct a plumber was in there within 5 minutes to fix. They even kindly offered to install the washer dryer for me as my deliver driver couldn’t. This was unexpected but very kind of them, especially with them only having a few days before Christmas so I’m sure they have a lot to do.
I will no doubt have a few things to report on my snagging but to be honest there is nothing alarming to report. They have built a solid house for me to call home, and I can’t fault the team around. The builders seem to be in the Christmas spirit and always happy, the staff are happy and I can only conclude that they must be happy where they work. If a company takes good care of its employees, I feel more confident that they will take care of their customers too.
Kelly, Brenden, Stuart, Michelle and Aimee have all been superb and I can’t thank them enough for their continued support. I hope the powers that be at Davidsons recognise their hard work and personal touch to delivering a 5* experience.

I’ve brought a property from Davison’s and officially moved in September 25, the customer services and care has been brilliant, Charlie, Emma and Lydia have all been excellent with their communication, keeping me up to date on progress, after care has also been good so far, snagging lists all dealt with efficiently even the maintenance men and the sub contractors in addition, this was my first new build off plan, the quality of the house is lovely too. Matched all my needs and more thank you
