I do not recommend Al-Madinah Travels for any service. I have lost complete trust in this company during my Umrah trip in Dec 2024. Here are the issues I faced:

1. After taking the money there was almost no communication, despite booking 4 months in advance I was never given any booking confirmation until the night of checkin in Mecca & Medina. They test your faith to the fullest degree.

2. I booked a 5 person package but in Mecca & Media I was only given 4 beds. On my repeated request to honor the contract I was told by Ayesha that they can’t do anything. So my family has to somehow make it work.

3. On my way back to San Francisco my flight from JFK to SFO was canceled by the airline and was never rebooked by Al-Madinah Travels. I only got to learn about this at the airport and the whole family went through a stressful situation to find flights back to SFO.

4. The 24/7 service claim is not true at all. I tried to use it three times each time without success. Their agent in Saudi is not helpful, they have to ask everything to the USA office and if it’s night time in NYC you will have to wait until they wake up. This was a big issue when I checked into the Media hotel, surprised to find we only had 4 beds, and on the way back when we found we did not have a flight from JFK to SFO.

Overall poor service quality and incompetent staff. I suggest avoiding this travel agency. I used this agency so I have peace of mind and focus on the Umrah but it turned out to be the opposite. At every destination I was stressed since whatever was promised was not accurate and the staff was not helpful.

If there was a zero star , I would give them that . This is the worst travel agency we have ever worked with . We bought an umrah package from , them 3-4 months ago . Never received any confirmation emails about train or hotel bookings even though we requested multiple times . At the last minute without even informing us , they changed our hotels first in madina and then in Makkah . We found out that our booking had been canceled when we reached the hotel . We were switched to a different hotel . We insisted that our booking needs to be in the hotel promised which was fairmont Makkah tower. There were rooms available . We were forced to go to a different hotel but we didn’t . We paid ourselves and bought a room in Fairmont Makkah . We asked for reimbursement which we were denied . This was the day of our umrah . We were mentally and physically drained because of how they were scamming us during our entire trip again and again . They didn’t even care that this is a religious trip and very important to us and that we are traveling with kids . This company should be shut down . The immense amount of fraud that they are doing , taking customers money and then disappearing.
I will never advise anyone to book with them !

They changed our hotel in Madinah from 5 stars to zero star.

Recently I had taken a Umrah package from Madinah Travels , US based travel group & I had very bad experience. Travel month December. All communication is through WhatsApp call and not recorded nor any written communication is provided, so we don’t have any evidence of what is committed by the travel agent. I recall, they committed to provide us with all ground transportation at Madinah & Makkah. However, when we requested train from Madina to Makkah, I had pay extra for the train tickets. They committed all additional ground transportation if required and we requested a trip to Miqat mosque and was not provided, we had to take a taxi. When we approached the Al Madinah travel, they directed to the local outsourced travel agent. We made multiple communications back and forth, a waste time and effort, we are on a religious trip and we had trouble maintaining our state of mind.
I booked a 5 star travel package. However, I was provided with a 4 star hotel. Al Madinah travels prior to our payment and after payment also they told us that all hotel vouches & ground travels will be provided 24 to 48 hours prior to departure but we didn’t get those even after multiple reminders. We had difficulty in planning our personal shopping and meetup with relatives at Madinah & Makkah. The hotel voucher for Makkah hotel was provided after the check in time. We reached Makkah at 11:30 and we had to sit at the lobby waiting for the confirmation number. The hotel reception unable to proceed with check in with names, they need the confirmation number which we didn’t have, however, we used the time to perform our umrah, but the confirmation number was provided at 4+ pm. But we were at Masjidul Haram and our luggage at the hotel lobby. The hotel room was cramped, there were no towels in the room, after complaining multiple times only we got the towels, we had to manage with our small towels. This we had communicated to the local agent , they told us that all hotel related issues, we need to approach the main agent in US. The location of the Madinah hotel was 10 min from Masjid Nabawi, however the hotel allocated was 15 min away from Masjidul Haram. Also, we saw cockroaches in the room.
The ground transport was outsourced to local travel, however coordination of activities were a mess. We almost missed train from Madinah to Makkah, the driver allocated was inexperienced and didn’t know how to handle traffic. Finally we had to call a taxi to get us to the train station and we had to pay out of our pocket. The Ziyarath trip at both Madinah & Makkah were very short but the guides were experienced and did a good job for which we have provided a separate review.
I would advice , if you want to go ahead with Al Madinah travels booking be prepared to face such situations or take adequate precautions, this was first time and I have learned my lesson. Feroz

This Is Hira pervaiz and i booked my ticket with this low-level company 6 months ago for Umrah. These Agents along with the so-called senior manager harass people. Their Agents curse you when you find out that they are lieing to you and than senior manager calls and threats you that he will cancel your ticket. Thats an open threat instead of taking the blame and fixing his staff. Please beware of these scammers.

These people are rip off they take your money and than agents Like Aisha curse you once you find out that your ticket is open and you donot have to travel on it.
Totally rip off people they take your money and than tell you you have to pay $1400 more to travel on the same dates. Their agents curse you. I will sue this company and have all them pay for all the loss.

Great company. They organized our umrah trip in quick timing within five days we were in Mecca. Wajahat and Ayesha both representative were very nice. The transportation company were the best. All the drivers were very professional and nice. The person in charge of us in Madina and Mecca was very nice. He responded to all our request 24 hours. We felt so special . And well taking care of. Definitely recommend it.

We concluded our 8 days Umrah trip couple of days back and it was a nice trip without any problems or any issues. Starting from day one of the booking till we reached back home we salute to sister Ayesha and brother Sakib who took everything possible to make our Umrah a great success. From the hotel arrangements both places in Mekkah and Medina including the Ziyarath at both places and also the pickup and drop off arrangements, it was a great experience without any pains. We are planning to make another trip soon and will use only their services. We sincerely and heart fully appreciate their hospitality and good support in making our Umrah a great success

The stay was great. Hotels were great, the ground team was great too, some drivers were late but we managed. Sister Ayesha was amazing and I would like to say a special thanks to her. She was there for me since the beginning to the end. I will definitely go back with you guys In Sha Allah.

I recently booked a 15 days trip for Umrah and Madinah Munawwara with my entire family including kids in August 2024 through Al Madina travels. By the Grace of Almighty Allah I'm going since 1996 through different agents but this is a trip where a travel agent honored each and everything what they committed. I will name Brother Saqib, Sister Ayesha and specially Brother Abdur Raheem. I cannot express in words about their sincere, loyal and professional attitude for completion of this trip. As mentioned earlier about the excellent service, their counterpart in Saudi Arabia offered an exceptional service for ground transportation. I highly recommend Al Madina travels to everyone, planning for a umrah trip.
