Alpha Car Finance Reviews 

As a seller, I would advise avoiding Alpha Finance mainly because they rely on awkward and troublesome phone software, that if you're not a teenager, you are going to get frustrated, as both me the seller and the buyer both struggled with it. I had the bloke stay on the phone with me step by step to get me through. Id say given the terrible reviews, Id run away - fast.

do not lease a car through this company ever you will be sorry. so many hidden costs and the management are so terrible... better off driving a cardboard box

They're deceitful in so many ways

We purchased the vehicle before end of lease They claim they discussed with us that the're not paying reg + ctp = They couldn't prove where they wrote
They're irresponsible and fully driven by money and deceit

I have setup an email and am taking interest in class action against this company after reading the reviews and finding very similar situations to my story. I applied for a hold on my account whilst moving between one job to the next when this occurred I agreed to enter into a payment plan to repay. After this occurred they applied multiple admin fees to my account for toll (there was a toll eTag assigned to the vehicle that I was advised during contract sign up it covers me to drive on toll roads) this seemingly kept my account in areas. After a very long never ending payment plan I was finally congratulated and told I was up to date so they removed the payment plan . I was contacted a few months later with a default notice for my account that was in areas and told that I requested to remove the payment plan. Do not speak to them without anything in writing. I would be happy to join a class action. During both 2020 & 2021 Covid lockdown I applied to suspend my payment whilst out of work. They agreed and then we both agreed on a higher weekly rate to pay off the arrears once I went back to work. What I was unaware of , was the $49.99 a week interest that would occur every week until my arrears was paid. That paired with a $97 admin fee + cost of tolls if I forget to pay a the road toll immediately, means I'll pay back almost $10,000 more than my agreed amount.

It seems I am not the only person who has been absolutely screwed over by alpha. I was promised that I would own the car once paid off but it gets better they said if I did a 6 months Flexi lease or what ever and as soon as I proved myself it would switch over to the lease to own and I’ll own the car after three years and guess what as soon as I went to switch it over they said I wasn’t eligible tried multiple times and I was knocked back every time and that should of been a red flag but they target people who are vulnerable and desperate. Fast forward three years later and oh many random fees popping up out of thin air later such as tolls which I never drove through or random you where behind on a payment one and although had proof still made me pay it sorry bullied me to be more specific.

I had a little bingle but the car can’t be driven atm but I had to lodge a form and everything and I asked for a temporary car while this one was getting fixed etc and there like oh you will need to ask the insurance company I asked them and there like no it’s up to alpha and what does alpha do as always screw you over they wouldn’t give me a temporary car on top of having to pay for the damaged car which isn’t drivable atm what I was told was that they had none and I’ll need to pay more money to hire one with them or another company.

I also have to pay the full excess for something which is out of my control plus the tow and for the quote oh I forgot to mention I have asked them numerous times over three years the car needs a service do you think they did that no of course not Ive had to pay for new tires two new batteries wheel alignments which you have to have when you get new tires do you think they cared nope it’s money they don’t need to spend but if I didn’t then the car would be out. I miss a payment and they act like a bunch of vultures they refuse to even bother helping rather they leave you hard and dry demanding you pay for a car that you can’t even use. There is a lot more trust me but I know I am not the only one who have been colossally screwed by alpha car finance and a class action should be done or something because they need to have consequences for their crappy actions and behaviour and something needs or some legal action needs to be done

Stay away from them at all costs!
No matter how desperate you maybe at the time, do not go through this company to lease a car!
Absolute rip offs! You end up paying back almost double what your car is priced at!
If you have major mechanical issues, even though it's there car, they don't want a bar of it.
Please think twice before leasing a car from this company!

I leased cars for 6 years and bought the car outright last year. They told me I was always welcome back. That was lies! They refused to help me today with another car after they said to me that if I sell my car and pay off my debts to ring them back and I will get a new car. No I got stabbed in the back big time!!
NEVER LEASE FROM ALPHA EVER!!

Please do believe this fake people and lose your money. I lost 4-5K, they will say initial lease agreement. And everything but nothing is true. I asked the to finance for my car, but they told me buy car from them so that they can do finance. Like car on lease term End of lease I can own the car.
That’s how they told and started. But I’m in my 485 Visa, so they told me they can’t directly. So they asked me to take the car in the initial lease agreement for 3months then if all my payment are perfect they told me they can ext, and at the end I can own the car. I paid $619 as lease deposit. After 3months they told, I’m not eligible bcoz of visa. Total waste and paying a lot of money and they didn’t even return my deposit , now they are telling it is an application fee.
I paid $129 every week for 4months.
Plus all fees. No use. They are cheating people. They just want money from us. Very bad customer service, when ever u call a girl called MAy will answer and she is totally waste.

If I could give no stars I would. Everything was fine whilst I had a vehicle with them and made perfect repayments for almost 3 years, but as soon as I needed to hand the vehicle back in and end my contract due to financial difficulties as a result of Covid-19, they changed their tone and have been extremely unhelpful in assisting me to finalise my account and have threatened to list a default against me. I have just put in a complaint with the financial ombudsman.

The worst company ever. I was accepted for a 2017 Suzuki Baleno with all the mod bells n whistles as Christian said for $124 per week And all Rego/Insurence/Servicing/Tyres where all included in my contract, even though it was not the car i had applied for it was what they could give me for my budget apparently.
I get a call from Alpha to say my allocated store is Dandenong.
When they called they informed me that they dont actually have a 2017 Suzuki Baleno or any Suzuki’s at all. So i went to see what they could offer. When i got there they Asked what i need, so i said i need at least a small wagon or a vehicle i can fit my Machines in as i run a cleaning business. They had organised the smallest car they could find, a 2016 Hyundai Accent Sport Hatch, i said its no good to me but they asked me to try it anyway, as i said it was no good, it had a massive patch of mould behind the back seat and my machines wouldn’t fit, so i took it back, they agreed to Swap it but only gave me a choice of a Nissan Pulsar hatch, or a 2016 Nissan Pulsar Sedan, it was suppose to be hybrid but she gave me the wrong car and came to my address to update the paper work after 7pm. Not only that i noticed 2 tyres where Unroadworthy and the transmission was terrible, the hand break barely worked, the led lights didn't work, there was pre existing damage that wasn’t visible until we had that red rain and it got into the tiny seem. They gave me a loan car That wouldnt start so i lost a client, cars where the ABS locked up just doing the normal speed around a round about, breaks Noisy, and they kept the Nissan for over 5 weeks And nothing was repaid at all, i went to pay a toll from a few days before i sent it in, i paid it just over a week after they had the car, but when i put my rego in, more recent tolls came up, a young lady named Meg at Dandenong said it was her, she took it for a test drive, why the hell would she need to test drive from Dandenong through Monash Toll zone????? i sent it in spotless and a full tank of fuel, they gave it back with no petrol and it reeked of a really bad oder, it was disgusting, They also tried to tell me im responsible to pay service and tires when it clearly states on the contract that all 4 services where included. I called up and said i dont want the car back, sent emails but was refused to end the contract as Dandenong took their time to actually deliver the car after signing the contract, did i mention that they didnt let me know the car wasnt ready until after i sign it and made me wait nearly two weeks in which timed out any cooling off periods. So i called the owner of Alpha Finance to please end the contract, he told me it was my choice to take the car, but even after explaining it all yo him, he just snubbed me off and spoke down to me in a very degrading way, i said I should have a 10 day cooling off period but my Calls and emails where all ignored, he tried to tell me that Vic contract dont have a cooling off period, but I told him thats not true, you cant force me to be in the contract, thats entrapment, Even when i said i will take legal action in which i am now in the process of, he said fine do that and just had no care factor at all toward the safety of the vehicles or even the running of his business. If i could start a class action against these guys I most definitely would, if interested msg me through FB and we will make it happen, what these guys do is criminal for sure 😡

Unprofessional and I cannot fathom how this company gets away with what they do. $13,000 for a car they come and unlawfully tow from my property without any previous discussion just a text message after they received my ridiculous weekly payment of $156 for a 2012 faulty ford.
I hope this company is thoroughly investigated to see if their business operations are even legal.

The sign up people were great but once that contract was signed it was all over from there. In the 2 1/2 years I was with them I could never get through to my account manager (he is busy right now he will call you back) 50% of the time he would call me back.
I coped a huge tole fine so I asked alpha why this is as it States in the contract that they would be looking after the tolls and direct debuting it from my account? The guy at alpha said "sorry about that I'll fix that up dont worry about it", 2 month's later I get a letter from a debt collector that I owe money for unpaid tolls so i call back alpha and they said "we never said we would fix that, that's your problem"..
I made every payment, got new tyres for the car, new keys, and every service I was asked to get, towards the end of the lease I asked if I could buy the car and alpha said yes just transfer $9000 and get a road worthy, in this time a p plater wrote of my car, smashed into me. Alpha took 2 1/2 weeks just to get an assessed to look at the car, I asked if they would replace the car so I can still buy it. The pay out figure was now $8000 and the insurance market valuation was over 10k, alpha did not replace the car they took the payout and said if I want a new car I can start a new lease all over again, I blew up about this and said so you are just trying to make a quick buck out of this accident instead of doing the right thing and replacing my car..
They guy at alpha said " it doesn't matter if you were paying the insurance it's out car not yours, we are a business we make money no one was holding a gun to your head and made you sign our contract"".
Again I made every payment and as soon as I hit some trouble that wasn't my fault they just stepped in and found a way to leave me with nothing but make a quick dollar for them. They also hit me with a not at fault exes bill

Never get a car from alpha you will pay $40000 for a car that worth $6000 and the threat you like cabbage I missed a payment and they demobilized my car I was stuck on a freeway and would not turn it back in until it was played and 1 year after getting the car I have spent over $3000 to fix it problem after problems never again

They do not care at all you try to fix up some money and all u get is bull they never care about people there better place to get a car from so I say do not get cars from them at all they made my wife so sick they do not understand anything at all
If anyone goes with them they will not care about you all they want is your money you try to fix up money only to get the door in your face
Never get a car with them at all

The team at Alpha were very helpful. They even extended my contract to cover my arrears when I had some financial difficulties. Applying for my second car. Thanks Alpha.

The experience I have had dealing with Alpha has been exceptional and I will recommend them to others for sure
