Totally inflexible when I asked to change my flight (and transfer) for an urgent family matter. Impersonal customer service that doesn’t care about local and loyal customers living in the Alps!

Transfer did not turn up and no response to complaint
Transfer from Morzine Bus Station to Geneva Airport did not turn up at the agreed time (11.15 23/12/23). We eventually got through their phone system to a person who said another bus was coming but this also did not arrive. We had to book last minute seats with Alpine Fleet (who I would give 5 stars for customer service and flexibility) so we could make our flight home. Despite several emails to Alpybus to complain and request compensation we have not had a reply.
DO NOT USE
DO NOT USE. Just had a transfer cancelled on less than 24 hours as they don’t have a bus available. They are a bus company. Their policy is that customers only get a refund if they change travel plans on 8 days’ notice yet they can screw you over on 18 hours notice. Terrible customer service.
Private transfer from Geneva to Chamonix
We booked a private transfer from Geneva airport to Chamonix because we had 4 people with a lot of luggage and staying at a chalet so not on a bus route. Our driver was Stratos and he was very chatty, friendly and helpful. The drive was comfortable and was on time.
Avoid
Poor website, systems and communication. Booked a bus to go Geneva airport and it never showed up. Wasn’t able to contact anyone.
Avoid
Avoid - return transfer from Chamonix (1hr trip) for a 1300 flight is at 05:30. Taking Blablabus instead, cheaper and more reasonable. Won’t ever use this company again.
Alpybus Geneva - Chamonix transfers
Geneva - Chamonix ski weekend rtn: transfer on a Fri afternoon, kept waiting for over an hour to be called for the bus resulting in hitting the rush hour traffic. It was a large minibus and we stopped in numerous other places before reaching Cham. All told the process took much longer than it should have. For the Mon return the pick-up time of 16.00 for a 20.15 flight would have made my ski day too short and rushed. Alpybus didn't respond to my request to change the time, so I binned it and took the 17.15 Swisstours bus instead - much faster (70mins) and cheaper (EUR20)
Failed to show up
Failed to show up, evasive and refusal to state if transfer would take place when I phoned no explanation offered

DO NOT BOOK ANY TRANSFER WITH THIS…
DO NOT BOOK ANY TRANSFER WITH THIS COMPANY!!
We booked a transfer from Le Fayet to Geneva, Alpybus overbooked the chosen departure and move us back on an other departure later which would have us miss our flight. We reach out to them to get a refund, it was a straight No.
This company is completely unreliable, you will book and choose a departure time, only then to receive an email to tell you they will confirm to you your REAL departure time at a later stage.
Last minute change of departure time
I booked a transfer from Chamonix to Geneva airport at 6am because of an early flight. AlpyBus changed last minute the hour of departure to 7 am, too late for me to catch my flight. I had to take a private expensive taxi instead.
I am very upset about this, especially because I didn't get any refund!
WARNING! AVOID THIS TRANSFER COMPANY
Seriously pay attention to the negative reviews on here and do not book with this company! I have never had such a bad experience in 23 years of travelling to the Alps.
Transfer from Tignes to Geneva took over 7 hours despite mellow traffic and perfect sunny dry weather. The driver did not have a clue where he was going and made a comical catalogue of errors including but not limited to...
Picking up guests at the top of the mountain Tignes Val Claret then collecting me from Tignes Le Lac 2100 after parking up on a roundabout and causing a traffic jam. We then drove down the mountain to Tignes Les Boisse 1800 before making a U turn to head back up to the top stop to collect more passengers. He managed to get stuck in Tignes Les Brevieres having driven through the entire village rather than using the turning point at the Tabac. After 2 hours we hadn't even left Tignes!!
We then inexplicably got lost driving to Bourg St Maurice having taken a detour to Villaroger driving through 'No Bus' signs up a winding single track road before beaching the coach and having to do an Austin Powers 39 point turn. Driver had to ask a local to lead him back to the main road. The toilets were in such a disgusting state that he had to make stops to allow people including several women to pee in a bush by the side of the road. A passenger had to lend the driver his phone for Sat Nav but he still kept taking wrong turns including missing the turn off to Geneva Airport. Most passengers therefore missed there flight after the transfer taking well over 7 hours!
To cap things off the driver decided to take us to the restricted height car park at Arrivals and caused another traffic jam! You couldn't make this stuff up!
I was unable to get a replacement flight and had to spend the night sleeping on the floor at Geneva Airport. Had to pay EUR260 for a new flight in the morning together with new fares for onward train connections.
An absolute calamity of a trip. Alpybus are now ignoring my emails claiming refund and compensation and have not even apologised for their utterly disgraceful and incompetent service.
Again, do not book a transfer with this company if you actually want to get home and make your flight! Altibus have never failed to get me where I have needed to be and I should have known better than to trust Alpybus!!

Driver didn't keep trying to chat to us- just let us chat to each other and start our holiday. However, he was very polite and helpful- great transfer
Do not book with this company
Do not book with this company! I never come to write reviews but this one has to be done…
We booked with AlpyBus to take us to Chamonix from Geneva airport for the day. I booked the 4 pm return giving us time to get back into Geneva and collect our bags then get back to the airport to make our flight. I got an email off them once we were there saying we had been moved onto the 5:30 pm transfer back to Geneva! I emailed to say we could not do this as we had a flight to catch then called them, apparently there was nothing they could do! Looking at the reviews now this is something they do very often, they sell tickets throughout the day for all different busses then once ones aren’t sold out, they condense every on to the last bus of the day. There were other people on our bus that this has happened to! I had three lots of confirmation saying I had booked for 4 pm but the lady on the phone wasn’t interested and kept saying she could see her end I was now on the 530 and theirs nothing she can do! To make things worse, when we turned up for the 530 they almost didn’t let us on because apparently everybody with original bookings on that bus had turned up and they told us the bus was full, we waited a little longer and two people didn’t arrive so we were allowed on the bus back to Geneva. We missed our flight, had to spend £150 in a hotel for the night and £400 on new flights the following morning. I would never book with this company again! Don’t make the same mistake we did!!!
Poor communication and systems
Poor communication and systems. Travelled with hand luggage only and was made to wait 1.5 hrs after landing before transfer from Geneva to Les Gets.
Return journey was -at the time of writing- at least 30 mins late for pickup.
Neither the SMS nor the duplicate email communications were accurate on pickup time, nor was the online tracker web link for the vehicle working.
Terrible experience
Terrible experience, bus more than 2 hours late - had to call every 20 min (they do not call or send infos) and always got the same answer : it is on its way and will arrive in 10 to 15 min… we had to stay outside 2 hours in the cold.
Nearly missed my flight - I wll not use them again
Extortionate luggage fees
Forgot to add luggage to the transfer booking and made an amendment the same day. Alpybus then charged me 30 euros to add luggage per person. I booked for 7 people so this cost me an absolute fortune despite luggage only being 1 euro per person if you add it to the original booking. The luggage amendment then cost me almost as much as the transfer booking.
You don’t get the time you booked
They advertise lots of bus times, allow you to book and pay for a specific time, and then email you less than 24 hours before your bus to change you onto a different service at a different time, when it’s too late to change your travel plans or get a refund. Will happily leave you stranded in the airport an extra 5 hours as a result and offer vague, ever changing excuses — don’t use.
Small delay but no issues
While there was a small delay to my return journey (5 minutes) both to and from Geneva to Chamonix were carried out as promised.
The buses were comfy and didn't have any issues.
The second bus used 2 smaller buses to collect us an transferred us to a coach, but I didn't consider this to be an issue.
Non serious company who change your bus…
Non serious company who change your bus in the moment because they just want.. loosing one hour.. better and cheaper with others company
I ordered a door-to-door transit from…
I ordered a door-to-door transit from Chamonix to Geneva. So I was expecting to be picked from my hotel in chamonix.
For the service I paid 20 euros more from point to point. An evening before I got a mail from alpybus telling me I should go to a pickup point 700 m away from my hotel.
When I called them asked for a door to door service or alternately to give me back my extra paid amount.
I got the answer that chamonix have some areas where shuttles cannot access. That my hotels in one of those areas. I told them I understand but expect not to pay extra. And the replied in : it is written on the order and website.
I will mention that it's there . But hard to see. Anyhow, it felt like a way to get more money and not respecting me as a client
Don’t use Alpy
Scammed. They post loads of bus hours each day to get the max number of customers, then only run the ones that are full. If you are unlucky and your bus isn't full you will get an email like me, less then 24 hours before so you can't request a refund, that changes your bus time radically, often by 4+ hours. None of the people in the company are actually Swiss or even speak french, terrible experience.
