AL's does bad business

AL's does bad business. Order could not be fulfilled by the company... only 3 items out of 6 were sent. Their own mistakes are not my concern when prices are set and put online. I don't think they will last another 100 years in business the way customers are treated!!

I ordered a $500 snowboard

I ordered a $500 snowboard. They charged my card then 4 days later I got an email stating it was out of stock and my order was cancelled. It took another 3 days to get my money back. It’s impossible to get ahold of anyone about your order. It really seemed like a scam to me! I would steer clear of this place!!

Great customer service!

Received the wrong item after a Christmas order. Turns out the item was incorrectly listed on their site and the price/item didn't coincide. When i asked for an exchange for the correct item, they acknowledged the error in their system and still honored the discounted price even though it was significantly discounted! Amazing customer service over the phone - quick answer by a real person who immediately resolved my issue within a minute. Very happy with Als.com.

Als and Als.com is one of the best…

Als and Als.com is one of the best places to find good deals. Fantastic in every way. I write this just because they've treated me so well. Seems like if I'm trying to find the cheapest price on something it ends up being at als.com more often than not. They ship with UPS in a timely manner and customer service is great.

They accidentally charged me twice for my 1 order.

I contacted the customer service through their “contact us” section on their website.

They emailed me within 20 minutes telling me they were gonna reverse the second charge.

Awesome service. I’ll edit this review after I get my items.

I ordered waders

I ordered waders. Wrong size came. Site didnt ask for stout, reg or king. I got king which are horribly big. Next pair werent even the same brand or camo. Next pair after were king again. They admit they were wrong on website and just want to refund me and send waders back? So let me get this straight, 3 wrong waders, 3 weeks without waders, then i drive 3 big boxes to ups to mail back. Where do i win? Thats a total waste of my time. Crap happens but this is your fault, make it right!

Great price for the shoes…

Bought a pair of hiking shoes from the AL's Sporting Goods website. I chose AL's because the price for the shoes I wanted was the lowest that I had found. Shipping was free. I placed the order on Tuesday and received the package 2 days later. Will definitely keep them in my toolbox for when I'm looking for other gear. I definitely recommend.

Horrible Customer Service - No accountability internally

Ordered water filters to use on a vacation trip (Read: Needed filters to filter water on hikes, as ours went bad). Product was sent USPS. Website did not state shipping method; no place to put a note on the order. USPS cannot be delivered to the address that was provided (shipping system should know this, REI doesn't have an issue determining this), and USPS returned the package to Als.com. No big deal. Order was returned to Als.com 3 days later. Als.com stated that they could not cross-ship, no big deal. Als.com gets the order back, give them a day to reship. No action on the order. 8 days, 8 phone calls, 3 unfulfilled promises for call-backs, a Shipping Manager that can't be found anywhere. Eventually spoke with the GM, receiving a promise of shipment by EOD. 4:59PM (their time) get an email that states that package was shipped Next Day Air and could not go out that day, because they missed the shipping time for the day. First call (of 3 calls) for that day occurred at 9:45AM that day, gave them plenty of time to remedy and ship. Check the tracking number, package will arrive 4 days after the shipment date. Should be here today (Friday) if this actually was shipped Next Day Air. Package will arrive Monday, after we have left to return home. Will have to have someone here ship it to us at home, and no longer have a use for the filters this vacation. If I conducted myself this way with my job, I'd get chewed out. How long has Als.com been in business? 100+ years, and still has communications, accountability and logistics issues?

Very Bad Customer Service

Very Bad Customer Service - I ordered a $15 black and grey balaclava. Instead, they sent me one that is pink and purple. I called to tell them about it, and they weren't apologetic one bit about it. They told me to mail the pink and purple balaclava back to them, and when they received it, they would refund me my money. They said I could then order the correct balaclava again. Most good companies would have apologized and immediately sent me the correct item.

I ordered an arcteryx ski jacket and matching ski pants. They shipped only the jacket but charged me for both. They then emailed me to offer me a cheaper north face product and said would exchange free of charge (charge for what?). I declined it and asked for a refund on the pants. A different person replied and said I would get current selling price of the pants back. What the heck? Als.com so far is my worst online sports shopping experience. Still no refund today just entered a dispute via the credit card company. Do not risk your money on this site!

Horrible customer service and communication.

Canceled an online order days before it was processed ( bought on Wednesday night, canceled on Thursday afternoon), come Monday morning I get an email saying it's already been shipped then another email literally 2 minutes afterward of them apologizing for shipping my canceled order even though my card was already charged. Now I would have to wait for the items to get here, refuse the box and pay the 15% restocking fee. I tried emailing them before the weekend to see if my canceled order was processed but no one answered not even when I called. Never buys things online from these absolute goofs.

Ordered a high dollar product for a…

Ordered a high dollar product for a birthday present from, Als.com on Sunday night, Wednesday, 13:37, EDST, Received an email stating, "they do not have the item in their inventory". Have to wait until the credit card transaction clears before re-ordering from a different site.

Als.com, not only do keeps the interest from the transaction, I no longer can meet the birthday of the individual intended.
Thanks for nothing. Again, will have to wait for the transaction to clear first. Should have notified me the first business day of the dependency.

A day pack I have been wanting for ages…

A day pack I have been wanting for ages went on sale with Al's, but I had never heard of, or ordered from them so I was concerned since it was half off. The transaction was smooth, prompt shipping with email updates, and the pack is perfection! I absolutely would order from them again with no hesitation.
Trust pilot is where I went first to see if it was legit company. The reviews helped me decide. Thanks for being there for us!

Great Customer Service

Bought two ski helmets there. We ended up having a small issue that was not the fault of ALS and the customer service was absolutely fantastic as they helped us resolve the issue. Highly recommend Al's and definitely will buy from them again.
